Hey guys! I have a problem. My playstation 3 is broken (and it was a rare backwards compatible model). I just heard about the release of Kingdom Hearts III on Playstation 4 and it's a game I've really been looking forward to. So, I was wondering: Should I repair my Playstation 3 or buy a Playstation 4? I mean I have Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts and I don't want these games to go to garbage because Playstation 4 isn't backwards compatible. I was thinking about repairing my Playstation 3 and waiting for a later version of the Playstation 4 which might backwards compatible. Anyway, KH3 might skip a generation like FFXV --' So what do I do guys?

dont get sony to repair youre ps3, get a solo or non exclusive console repair buisness to do it

 

sony will shaft you and send you a new ps3 with your old hardrive i've noticed it happens. and experienced it

also theyll charge tonnes of money for this "service" normally more than the console cost.

 

get it repaired cheaper at a free lance company and get both

I wasn't going to get it repaired by Sony. I was going to get a new HDD (because mine doesn't read disks anymore) and my dad was going to install it...(he said he could do it).

I heard ps4 will be backwards compatible, at least with ps3 games, thanks to that gaikai thing. But i dont still have enough info to back this up.

 

If this really works, My suggestion is for you to buy a ps4 and the HD remakes 1.5 and 2.5. These way you wouldnt have to stop playing KH and KH2 and could play the future KH3 too.

 

But 80$ dont seem that expensive. your choice.

I think KH3 will take some time to be released, so I think you should repair your PS3 now (specially since KH1.5 is coming up) and when you can, you get a PS4, and you're probably gonna have enough time.

Get a new PS3, you can get them cheap these days. Get HD 1.5 ReMIX and HD 2.5 ReMIX when they come out. Then in 2015 you can save up for a PS4.
