Thoughts on KHIII being a Multi-Platformer?

Posted

I want to hear your thoughts! :)

I personally don't find it that big of an issue, since it gives more people a chance to play. It doesn't affect my life drastically.

  1. 1. What do you think about the appearance on The PS4 and Xbox One?

    • I don't mind! I think it's great on both consoles!
    • I don't mind, but it still kind of bugs me.
    • I prefer it being on only the PS4, not the Xbox One.

I don't get why it would be bad. All it would do is give the series more popularity and attention. Hopefully it'll help get a next saga in the series

More money for Square Enix.

Great business move for Square Enix, but I'm not sure how I feel about them developing the game essentially for the PC and then porting to PS4 and X1 it's easy to worry about performance issues

I don't mind it being on both consoles.  It's probably a decent thing, though I'll still get the PS4 version.

Well, it certainly can't hurt the franchise, but I don't think it will help much either. With all the... issues... I doubt anyone but the most hardcore Microsoft fanboys will get the Xbox One. And most of them are FPS nuts, so I doubt they'll be getting it. So I don't think many people will be playing the Xbox One version. But I don't really give a damn because WE'RE FINALLY GETTING KHIII MUTHA*******

I don't mind, but it bugs me a little bit because it came to PS4 and Xbox One, but not Wii U. I wouldn't mind a version with downgraded graphics.

I have Xbox and I play Minecraft, Batman, GTA4, and all the good games XCEPT FPS games!

Cant hurt to have spare change.

we should all form a league online and troll everyone

It's wonderful. The more people who buy KH, the better.

Just something that I thought about, its a little bit of a conspiracy theory, but here it is anyway.

The obvious reason for Release KH3 on both Xbone and PS4 is for more money. What if SE and Sony actually decided this was better business for them, as now people who are Xbox gamers who haven't played the previous Kingdom Hearts might want to get the third game, but will read they might be a little bit confused, forcing them to buy a PS3/Possibly PS4 if we can play PS3 games on it, and to also buy copies of KH 1.5, and 2.5.

In the end, Sony gets more money, Square gets more money. Whatcha guys think? ;3

glad to see most people have calmed down and realised its a good thing :)

was going on for annoyingly long

i dunno, some bros of mine who saw the trailer and are fps nuts went googley eyed at this game, only one of them actually likes kh :)

nah tetsuya is boss, he will make it epic, i would worry if any other company did it :)

I think that game exclusivity is a good thing. When to many games go multiplatform there's less incentive to make killer apps when everybody is batting for both teams and no longer trying to surpass each other. It demotes the healthy competition between video game companies.

Just think off all the massive numbers of exclusives and the competitiveness between the companies. That is what helped make gaming generations like Genesis/SNES, PS1/N64, and PS2/Xbox/GC so good. When there are too many multiplatform games, there is hardly any point in even having different consoles.

Of course, i'm not saying that every game should be exclusive to a system that's ridiculous, but a lot more need to be. Otherwise the gaming will continue to stagnate.
