Now here's an unnerving existential thought (and this pseudo-philosophical musing came before my shower this time).

So, DDD stated pretty much anything can grow a heart, and Tron and Data-Sora prove data can have heart.  Then, what does that mean for the residents of the digital Twilight Town?

If I recall, it was constructed from the memories of its natural residents.  Except CoM also proves even fake memories can have meaning.  If data can have hearts, does that mean the residents of digital Twilight Town have or can develop their own hearts?  That would mean Hayner, Pence, Olette, and the rest have clones they don't even know about.  Now here's the unnerving part: what would happen if the simulation were to disappear?

DiZ made the simulated Twilight Town to keep Roxas occupied and the Organization off his trail, but there's no use for it anymore.  DiZ/Ansem isn't even around at the moment.  Who's maintaining the system?  What if a glitch happens?  Will the system one day be deleted entirely, having lost its entire purpose?  What would it mean for the residents who are probably as real as Twilight Town's natives?

After KH2, the digital Twilight Town kinda stopped being important.  But who says it's not important at all?

I think after Roxas woke up Sora, the data of the town save for the computer room and the room where you fight Axel disappeared.

Hmmm... that's an interesting thought. Perhaps it will serve a purpose in KH3. Only time will tell...

I am assuming the digital versions were pulling on the original's hearts. Since when Sora was leaving Twilight Town Hayner (sorry if I misspelled his name) asked Sora if he was sure they never met before.

That's actually very interesting

That makes since. The data versions joined with the real versions.

Very interesting theory.

I feel bad for the data twilight town residents now.

I don't think anything can grow a heart...only the things that originally had a heart. Like Nobodies...their original versions had hearts so they grow one too.

Nope, it's anything.  Ansem says even a lifeless puppet can grow a heart.  Look at Riku's talk with Ansem the Wise in DDD.  The point the games are trying to make, especially coded, is that just because it's data doesn't mean it can't have a heart.

Maybe you are right then...
