Ok, so here's what I'm thinking about "Bold Action". I really hope KH3 can step it up a notch, because I don't feel like the action has been as bold as it could have been in more recent titles. When I think of "bold action", I think of wreaking utter havoc. I like the KH titles where you can plow through enemies, and have it be total chaos on the screen as you play. Like, not chaos to the point of not being able to see what's going on, but just a chaotic feel to the fights.

KH1: The action wasn't super bold, I don't think. But I'll forgive them for that, since this game was their starting point. It did have some pretty sick attacks though, like Ars Arcanum, things got pretty chaotic if you let that bad boy off the chain.

CoM: Same as KH1 in this area.

KH2: I thought this one was the pinnacle of chaotic gameplay in the series. Like, you can dash into enemies with the keyblade, then go into Final Form, for example and start pulling off some crazy slashes while blasting enemies with fire and thunder spells, and every attack just flows into the next. I love KH2 for that.

Days: Cruddy. Every battle is just three-hit-combo after three-hit-combo, and it was just boring.

BbS: Wasn't as good as KH2, but you could start wreaking havoc with some of the command styles and shotlocks, and that could make things pretty awesome. But using commands, it just got kinda repetitive. But still, they did the best with what they had, and I thought it ended up working well.

Re:Coded: Don't remember. Haven't played it in a while.

3D: Pretty disappointing. It had the same faults with the commands as BbS did, but didn't have shotlocks to make up for it. Riku's command styles could have made up for it, but they didn't, because you can barely let off an attack without being interrupted by damage from the enemy. And flowmotion just doesn't flow well with anything else. It's cool the first 15 times you use "kick dive" or "shock dive", but the next 3,000 times it kinda loses its flare.

What do you think? Do you agree with these? What kind of action would you like to see used in KH3?

I would love to see Kingdom Hearts II's type of battle into Kingdom Hearts III.

But I disagree with you, James on what you said about Kingdom Hearts 3D. I am a super fan though, but I disagree and I am not stading up for the game.

Flowmotion really gave the game the spice of it, and the Dream Eater attacks, which I don't remember what it was called, was super amazing, and the commands were also incredible.

I disagree with you in KH3D. Some of the attacks are really destructive, mainly the Link attacks. I mean, like Sora using Whomperstomp by dual linking, it lets you destroy EVERYTHING ON SCREEN, its creates huge shockwaves and crushes the enemies. And Riku using Ghost Drive to endlessly pummel the enemies, and use Dark Aura in that Link form.

I would like Birth by Sleep's battle style for KH3. Best combat in the series.

Totally agree. Hope we can see something in KH3 that incorporates more than one game's playstyle.

Well, I seriously hated the gameplay from KH3D, my favorite thing about it were Riku's link forms, and those, in my opinion, were shit compared to the command styles from Birth By Sleep.  Also, I wasn't to fond of struggling to finish a single combo without being interrupted by an enemy.I feel that KH2 had the best gameplay of the series, from drive forms to limits, it was just perfect for me.  Re:CoM was cool too.

Similar here. I wouldn't say I *hated* KH3D's gameplay, it just got frustrating how relentless the enemies were. I really hope they fix that for KH3.

So, if I am reading this correctly, you want the battle system to make you feel like a god swatting your enemies like flies with flashy moves.

The reaction commands from Kingdom Hearts 2 and flow motion from Kingdom Hearts 3D combinded would be that bold action we could see in Kingdom Hearts III.

Bold Action = Hardcore Porn.

I thought of porn title as well. lol

No worries...Nomura said KH3 was beyond bold action :)

I think kingdom hearts 3d was too easy. For kingdom hearts 3 they need to make the enemies harder and the gameplay more like kingdom hearts 2 and bbs.

The AI for KHIII is said to be more challenging.

KH2 was the best.

KH2 was the best.

For sure. KH2 was EPIC!!!
