For the past, lets say 8-10 years, the characters of kingdom hearts have developed over and over again. Forming levels of personalities that cause us to love them, root for them, and at some times have a desire to better themselves by copying there morals. Now... That being said... One of these numerous characters has been a little... Lets call it light on the development side, although kairi has been one if the first people you see starting the series, we barely know anything about her personality. Imagine white bread with red hair and that's princess kairi for you, I think that she might be a little bit more playful to finally show her colors a bit in kh3, but what the world wants to know is, what do you think she will be like?

I think she'll have a similar personality to aqua.

a crazy psycho lol mainly because she has broken the forth wall and wants to get revenge on nomura for ignoring her

Even though we really don't see Kairi in game most of the time, for those few times she does, we get a pretty good idea of what she's like. I do wish we get to see her more, but just to know more about her, it's not really necessary... We already know who she is (Caity's post is just perfect so read it xP)

Kairi is kind hearted

Kairi is charismatic, befriending Hayner, Pence and Olette so quick

She's pretty sociable

She's upbeat and optimistic, tending not to dwell on things, like not knowing her original hometown when both Sora and Riku were bothered not knowing

She shows traits of caring, courageous and recklessness, immediately jumping into battle using a weapon she didn't even know she could use when someone she cared about was in trouble.  Also running off into corridors of darkness she knew nothing about.

She was spunky, adventurous (wanting to go on the raft) and playful in KH1, but with Sora's absence at the start of KH2 she was more withdrawn and "delicate", since then Sora's almost always absence and we barely see her, so she may be more of a wallflower when we first see her in KH3 but she is capable of being all the traits I've listed, it just seems she needs Sora's cheery disposition to be so openly adventurous where she'd mention it.

But people have to remember since KH1, Kairi has been getting very little screen time so it's impossible to build a massive personality in the few frames she scraps into.  Least one that's memorable, people tend to just remember Kairi's delicate position from KH2 than her adventurous self in KH1.

I think it's pretty much guaranteed Kairi will, or should be getting more screen time in KH3, the end of KH3D has stated her as a Guardian of Light, and I'm sure Nomura's already bored with all the complaints about her being a damsel and it being sexist etc.

In KH3 Kairi will probably be similar to her KH2 self at the start, and as she's around Sora more and we see her you'll see her young playful self come out.

That was a perfect charateczation!

We will get to see much more character development in kh3 but what I really want to is,what will Sora,Riku and kairi look like in kh3.

Well we saw her mature between KH1 and 2. In KH1 she was a bit more silly and playful. In KH2, we can see that she's a bit more wise and calm/delicate. Isn't that character development?

I agree, she hasn't had much of a chance to develop, but that was because she was too busy getting kidnapped

Kairi is like a Disney princess except she's more willing to fight with her friends instead of sitting back like some of the others. Plus she's a little silly like Sora.

She developed plenty well physically (like her body's amazing no denying) and mentally (her personality changed with his absence) during Sora's stay in COM and his sleep.  That was a whole year where we weren't shown any of her character, to even see her developing, and soon as we do see her, she's kidnapped.  It's really sexism, which is a poor situation to fall on most female characters in games but has been turning around more recently than it was at the start of the series.  I'm sure making Kairi a Guardian is a step towards the company showing they're being less sexist by removing her role as a damsel, as a lot of gaming companies are doing with their female characters who previously played the damsel all the time.  They're getting more useful that society is changing.

If she's been training with Donald.....make sure you have some potions with you. Just saying.

Beat me to it... Nice explanation by the way, made me shed a tear of happiness just reading it. :')

You forgot to mention in KH1 when she did get screen time while awake, she saved Sora when he was a heartless. Because she was able to recognize him even in that form and showed she is willing to risk herself to help! And later when she is safe in traverse town she wants to go with Sora back to Hollow Bastion to set things right. But alas since she doesn't have a weapon, nor has shown any fighting skill at that point he turns her down. So, yes she was put into the damsel in distress role, but she always showed a will to help. So, it is actually a logical progression to give her the means to fight after she got captured in KHII.It was to say that she wants to help, but she is too weak to help. So now lets give her the means to help. And I would like to see Kairi, Riku, and Sora working together in III instead of Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Mickey can take Donald and Goofy back and stop trying to side line them to go off on his own!
