this part of the cgi verson of the fight made was one of the reasons why i really wished that they had used the cgi fight in the game. it looked so much more intense and ventus even breaks his keyblade, in the psp version he still hits his keyblade on the side of the cliff but for some reaosn his helmet breaks lol

I always laugh when I see that part of the fight. Ven tries the cheap shot, attacking from behind like a coward and Xehanort's just like "LOLNO" and, we all know what happened next. *looks at picture*

That was pre-rendered since about 2006. They didn't have the details about BBS's plot in concrete then. After all, they thought it was post-KH2 with Sora as the main character on ps2. So maybe Ventus was supposed to break his keyblade in that scene, but obviously for story purposes they couldn't break his keyblade in BBS. Yeah the cutscene in BBS wasn't as powerful on psp with the choppy graphics instead of CGI, especially when Aqua caught Ven as he fell and it zoomed in on his face.

Whelp, now we all know what was going through Ven's head as he tumbled down the rocks.

well yes i realize that, but more or less the fight turned out the same, just ven does not break his keyblade lol. besides if its a keyblade i don't believe that the frozen broken part would be permanently broken, it would probably fix itself.
