Fans awaiting a western release for Final Fantasy Type-0 very well may get some answers soon, if we’re to trust the words of Square Enix America and Europe CEO Phil Rogers.

Two weeks ago, Rogers posted a bit of an open letter, encouraging fans to share their questions, comments and other feedback with him via email. Operation Suzaku – the main force behind Type-0′s fan movement – recently received a response that, for better or worse, might eventually clear up the mystery surrounding the fate of the title’s rocky situation.

“I’ve seen your Facebook page and I hear your question clearly,” said Rogers. “I’ve posted on the blog that this is one of the first questions I’m going to tackle. It’s not a quick question to answer but I’m looking into it and I’ll update everyone when I can. But I mentioned (again on the blog) that I don’t want to get hopes up as localizing previously released games sometimes isn’t possible when the team have moved onto other projects. But I will look into this thoroughly.”

Until now, Square Enix has remained coy about any sort of release outside Japan, despite localization having been mostly completed over a year ago. While Rogers can’t really promise fans anything, at this point any sort of conclusive dialogue on the situation would be more than appreciated.

Hopefully they make it for psvita since PSP is basically dead. Maybe even cross-buy.

I still have some hope for an official western release BUT I have better hopes for the Type-0 fan translation by Skyblade and his group.

I was hoping maybe they'd PORT IT to PS4 and package it with FF XV, since its part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series aswell as XV and XIII. The reason i didnt say XIII is because the collection comes out when LR comes out, and i doubt they'd be able to release it by then and Port and package it with the XIII trilogy collection.

I hope type 0 comes out for either the PS3 or PSVita... But I have a feeling it might be another Xenoblade...

I port to the PS3 or PS4 would be nice,or releasing it on the PSP would be fine too but I hope it doesn't end up as a Vita exclusive.

This would be my reason for buying a vita. (assuming it comes out for that system)

If it's on PSP, PS3, or PS4, I'll definitely pick up a Wstern release. Vita? Heck no, I'll probably never get a Vita. The only reason I'd EVER buy one is if it had a KH game.

They would release it on PSN.

However,if they're clever enough,they can bundle it with an HD remaster of Crisis Core FFVII and Dissidia 012 and make it an HD collection.

How is that being clever? Those games have nothing to do with each other. Makes more sense to do a XIII or VII collection.

Uh first off, they're FF GAMES ALL FOR PSP. It'd make sense to just have them together as an FF HD collection. It'd work better.

Dissidia and CC are great, and Type 0 already has a high demand. I completely agree with Metal Snake. This would work perfectly and have tons of sales.
