How many games do you think will be in the next saga?

Posted

Considering how the Xehanort saga will have 8 (BBS, KH1, COM, Days, KH2, Coded, 3D and KH3), i think maybe there will be 7 or so for the next saga. Knowing Nomura, he'll try to prolong making the final installment by making side titles again.

Wouldnt have a clue. Hopefully there isnt as many side titles.

I don't mind with the numbers but I am hoping for not separating them in hundred consoles

Hopefully 3 at the very least. Some spin-offs would be nice, but I would like them to be on consoles that everybody will actually have. Quality over quantity, but what about availability?

Actually, the Xehanort Saga is technically comprised of:

Kingdom Hearts

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Kingdom Hearts 2

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix

Kingdom Hearts re: Chain of Memories

Kingdom Hearts coded

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix

Kingdom Hearts re: coded

Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 -HD ReMix-

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 -HD ReMix-

Kingdom Hearts 3

(releases that are technically the same game but with a revamp are in italics.)

And that's not even including the Japanese versions, which didn't feature the full content that wound up in the english version (for instance, until Japan got Final Mix, they didn't have the Mysterious Figure battle... at least I don't think they did.)

Interesting fact:

If you don't count the HD remixes, which are collections of past games, then there are... 13 games.

But that whole thing is beside the point.

I think the next saga will feature just as many, at most. Perhaps a bit less

I would like Kingdom Hearts to become less of a joke in the gaming community. Those of us who play it know better, but people who see it jumping between portable devices write it off as a silly old idea and never even try it. It isn't considered a competitor to most other games and I want this to change. So I guess I'm saying I would rather have fewer, more polished and thought out titles rather than a multitude of smaller titles to keep the fans busy. I want to see Nomura bring Kingdom Hearts back into the competitive market.

Im talking about just the games alone, not Remakes or FM's or japanese versions, just the singular title alone. xD As in NEW WHOLE GAMES not couting any of the FMs with added stuff. xD

Yeah, but the thing is, they technically are new games. They're games that the creator of the series took the time to create, and if you're considering how many games there are going to be in the next saga, then you can't discount them. Just because they're remakes doesn't mean they're not games in the series.

I am guessing the next saga will feature 3 (maybe 4) games originally released for home consoles, with the rest being handheld games.

I'd say 3, 7, or 13 O.O

Serious: Hmmm.....well as long as they don't jump between every single game system in the future and keep the magic, I'm fine with however many they decide to create. i can't really tell how many more there will be....I guess we'll just have to wait and see until the end of KH3 ^^

Well i mean New games in the terms of NEW STORY not just remade games with some extra content like the FM's or the actual remakes. Those don't count in terms of completely new games in the saga.

If Nomura has the next saga planned out better, it could be less than the current saga. If not, then who really knows?
