I can myself a gamer, since I love to play video-games and dedicate myself to them to learn new stuff and have new experiences.

 

When I got my PS2, I was so happy that I almost exploded...

 

Took me years to get a PS3 and it was Second-Hand...

 

And now the "Yellow Light of Death" or something like it happened to my PS3 and I cannot use it anymore... I can't afford a new one, I CAN'T sent it to Sony, because that's IMPOSSIBLE for me to do and I CAN'T OPEN it up since I have no knowledge to do so.

 

I asked help in many sites... like yahoo and KH13 and I always got the same shitty asnwers: "Get a new PS3", "Send it to Sony"... but how many times do I have to say that I. CAN'T. DO. THAT?!

 

I'm devasted... I spent so many hours on the PS3, dedicated myself so much... and all of it is gone... I hate the thought of loosing my PS3 and my saves... Even if the PS3 has the Disk that holds all the game saves, if I put it on a new PS3, this new PS3 will format it and I'll loose everything...

 

Playing games on the PC is not for me. I own a Core 1.3, which is horrible for the new games that are coming out. I can barely handle TERA Online and even The Sims 2 with lots of mods..

 

I'm sure that ANYONE is gonna put stupid and random comments about this topic OR will not understand how I feel.

 

My parents are angry at me.. I did abused off my PS3, but I never thought that THIS would've happened. I got Skyrim last week and kept playing DAY and NIGHT without stopping... reaching near 100h of gameplay...  I used to check the heat of the PS3 and didn't find it that HOT... I even cleaned up the Corrupted Files...

 

I want to keep playing on my PS3, but I can't find a good solution...

There's really nothing you can do. And I think you're being a little melodramatic.

I don't have a PS3...so idk what to tell you. but I do own PS2 that was second hand.

 

I had it since 2004 and it works perfectly. the best thing I can say to you is to treat your things with care.

 

Things wont last long if you constantly play them, learn to take a break. Or don't play it for hours on end.

Well, I'm afraid there's nothing much we can say then.

Don't you have a friend or someone who can open up your PS3 and try to retrieve your saves? 

If the answer is no, then I think we can't help but say we're sorry about your loss, bro. I do hope you somehow find a way to get out of this and keep your life as a gamer.

I don't have a PS3 to be of any help, the only thing I can sa is to find the diagnostic code for the light/error message and see if the solution to the problem is within your scope of understanding for electronic components. If it's way beyond your scope of knowledge, then I got some bad news for you. Maybe try the Sony forums? I was able to fully repair a broken and abandoned PSP for like 20 bucks because the only malfunction was the rear disc cover and after an hour was able to completely rebuild the system and technically get a new PSP for myself by looking through there.

You know I plan to (and a lot pf others should if they had a Playstation 3 for a while) get playstation plus and upload dave data to online cloud. I plan to do it soon since my Playstation 3 doesn't last as long as it used for the fan to kick in soon. Its not fast, but its not as long as it used to be.

 

And you can still get your saves back, you have to save the motherboard from your Playstation 3. Or there are ways you can fix the yellow light of death yourself.

There lies the problem. You should have bought a new PS3 from the start(it could still get a ylod, but it would have lasted longer than a used PS3).
