Disneys live-action adaptation of the classic fairy tale has begun shooting. Lily james(Wrath of the Titans) will be cinderella, with Richard Madden, commonly known as Robb Stark in Game of Thrones, will be the Prince. Cate Blanchett will be Malifecent, although I am pretty disappointed about that as I thought Angelina Jolie would have fit it perfectly.

Maleficent in Cinderella?

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought. Anyways,  why is Maleficent in Cinderella? She's not in Cinderella, she's in Sleeping Beauty. I think there's something you should explain.

If this is Cinderella, Maleficent isn't in it.
Disney was however talking a bout a live action movie called "Maleficent" that told her side of the Sleeping Beauty story. And the Disney Wiki still has Angelina Jolie listed as the lead and has none of the actors you listed as being in the movie.

But they are making a live action movie of Cinderella as well with the actors you mentioned.

I think you may have gotten your wires crossed.

This is the cast list from the Wiki for Maleficent

  • Angelina Jolie as Maleficent
  • Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora
  • Brenton Thwaites as Prince Phillip
  • Sam Riley as Diaval
  • Jane Lynch as Flora
  • Anita Briem as Fauna
  • Anne Hathaway as Merryweather
  • Sharlto Copley as King Stefan
  • Kenneth Cranham as King Hubert
  • Miranda Richardson as Queen Ulla
  • Peter Capaldi as King Kinloch
  • Imelda Staunton as Knotgrass
  • Lesley Manville as Flittle
  • Juno Temple as Thistlewit
  • Hannah New as Leila
  • Marama Corlette as Servant
  • India Eisley as Young Maleficent
  • Toby Regbo as Young King Stefan
  • Vivienne Jolie-Pitt as Young Princess Aurora

And for Cinderella

So, no worries.
