September 25, 201312 yr Author IDK. Maybe Vanitas was supposed to be a certain age when created, and since he touched Sora's heart, he looked like older Sora or something. OR JUST KH LOGIC. His appearance was created when Ven's heart came in contact with Sora's at the moment of his birth. Oh wait....I remember there were some hidden stuff in the BBS novel that explain this in more details....sorry

Due to their connection, Vanitas's appearance must have been influenced by that event. His relative appearance to Sora was also due to his 'age', since he is essentially as old as Ventus, being his darkness and all.
