I let the 1.5 exclusivity slide because it's announcement was before KH 3 got announced

 

But why oh why is 2.5 HD is a Ps3 Exclusive????

 

Square,you're telling me that you're selling KH3 to a new audience without introducing them to what happened before it??

 

Regardless of what you say ..there WILL be an Xbox 360Xbox One owner who heard about KH for the first time,can you imagine how confused heshe will be when he plays KH3 for the first time with 0 explanation for what happened before it???

 

Not everyone wants to stop playing just to look up the previous game on youtube just to understand what the hell is going on

 

it's not hard at all to release an old game on multiple consoles especially when they decided that the series should walk the multiplatform route

 

Without previous games being released on Xbox consoles they'll risk low sales for the Xbox One version of KH3 because they didn't give the owners of the 360 the chance to try it and look forward to the next main entry

 

And that's what exactly happened with the Xbox 360 version of FFXIII.......aside from FFXI....the Xbox 360 never got any of the previous entries in the series despite most previous entries got ported to the iOS.....Not even FFX HD is coming to the 360...and they just expect Xbox Owners to leave their Skyrim and Halos to try the new Final Fantasy.....by the way...the sales of the 360 version of FFXIII barely passed 2 millions compared to the 4 million copies sold on Ps3

 

And I know what you're thinking:herp derp everyone should have two or three consoles now duuuuuuuuuuuuuh

 

No,not everyone own more than one console,and not everyone is an RPG veteran who heard of Kingdom Hearts

 

And don't tell me it's an exclusivity contract because it's not.

 

If your new entry is multiplatform....DON'T KEEP THE PREVIOUS ENTRIES AWAY FROM OTHER CONSOLES.

Yeah, I also don't understand why KH 1.5 and 2.5 aren't the PS4. Sure, put them on the PS3, that's fine, but also have them on the PS4 too! The reason why 1.5 and 2.5 should be on the PS4 is KH3 is coming out on PS4 and many people who did not own a PS3 are getting the PS4 and many of them might want to play 1.5 and 2.5 but don't want to buy a PS3 at this point. The PS4 isn't backwards compatible either which is a major problem for such people. I know people are going to say "but the PS3 has a bigger install base" but still, how are people who don't own PS3's expected to play KH3 but not 1.5 and 2.5? Square-Enix makes not sense to me. lol

*deep breaths* sigh....I'm sorry for that, but, as a Sonic fan myself, I find that I often have to apologize to others on behalf of my own fandom's lack of harmony. There's noting wrong with diversity in a fandom, but when things get this far out of control and people feel like they can't mesh with each other to the extent that an entire fanbase seems to constantly be at war with itself, you can tell something is seriously wrong. I'm still a Sonic fan, I'm not going to leave because of something stupid like the fandom arguing with itself. It's sort of like having a really really huge dysfunctional family, they frustrate you a lot, but you love them too much to leave them.

 

And oddly enough I have come across a good number of level headed Sonic fans much like myself. If you want to define yourself as a TRUE Sonic fan, rather than a fan of all the other labels within the fanbase, that means that you are a fan of Sonic, you have your own sets of interests within the fanbase, you acknowledge that other Sonic fans have similar and different interests, and you realize THAT IT'S ALRIGHT. You don't try to argue with someone why Sonic's eyes are supposed to be black rather than green, you just know that there are people out there who have different beliefs and preferences and just let them be. A true Sonic fan doesn't limit himself to one label either, they hold the perspectives of various aspects of the franchise. It IS possible to be a fan of both the classic and modern games, the Archie comics and the Fleetway comics, the games and the comics, the games and the shows, the shows and the comics, etc. Hell, it's even possible to be a fan of both black eyes AND green eyes (I'm trying to come up with some crazy theory about how that would work...).

 

Being a TRUE Sonic fan is basically all about acknowledging ALL aspects of the franchise with an open mind and not letting your own personal ego get in the way of other peoples' enjoyment, and especially not letting your ego become part of a group's collective ego against any other aspect of the fanbase.

 

If the entire Sonic fanbase can learn this, then maybe...just maybe, there will be hope for the rest of the world....

Yeah. At one point I was watching one guy's countdown to Generations let's plays and I liked him a great deal until he started raging on Amy. Still, I was committed to his playthrough and sat through the whole thing despite having to listen to his several other differing opinions. I may have felt passionate enough to..."calmly" express my opinion against his in the comments sections, but I still expressed the respect I had for the guy and the fact that he had his own way of looking at the franchise.

 

If there is anything Sonic fans can learn from Bronies, it's "love and tolerate". (I don't suppose this means we're going to have a separate conversation on Bronies, does it? Because I am willing to defend them if it does.)

I pray to all the gods that on the PS4 you can Gaikai 1.5 and 2.5 for all those newcomers so they won't be online sprouting ignorance nonsense(Aside from the usually crap) and maybe after KH3 is all said and done, maybe they should do a HD collection of Days,Coded,and DDD but what would you call it is the real predicament

To be fair, who would buy a third game without playing/watching/reading about the previous ones?

people who have heard the series is good but don't own a last gen console? seriously this is stupid. the only way for PS4 only owners to play it is through streaming, which i HATE, 10 or 20 years down the line I want to be able to play my games, I don't want to have to rely on an online streaming service that will go down eventually, or could go down for weeks or months with PSN.
