Question about Kingdom Hearts 1.5/2.5 HD ReMix

Posted

Hey everyone, so you know how PS4 is going to be able to play some PS3 games through a system called... Gaikal, or somthing, anyways, I was wondering if KH1.5/2.5 will be available though that, so they will be playable on the PS4. I ask this because I want to play the HD Remixs, but i also wnat KH3, and the fact that it's on the PS4 makes this a very... expenisve situation. Just wondering, don't know if any more info has been released about the Gaikal system, or whatever it's called, but if so it would be much appreciated! Thanks

It all depends on Disney, they are very stingy about what they digitally release.  Hopefully Square can convince them of it, since I am in the same boat as you.  But even if they do, it will probably be a while before it would be released on Gaikai.

I hope so :(

*edit* isn't it on the PSN store? I don't know because I don't have a PS3, but in the trailer it says it does.

It's disc only for 1.5 at least and likely 2.5 as well. I highly doubt these will be available on Gaikai. Fortunately for you, the PS3 will drop in price even more come this holiday season and probably even more afterwards after the PS4 is finally out. You can get a PS3 for like $200 now. That and the PS4 together at launch price are the same as the original PS3 launch price. Expensive, but still worth it!

lets hope they will be, besides that's the thing people don't get about why people want the games (kh1.5 and 2.5)  to be on ps4 just in case they are not  in Gaikai game thing because otherwise people would who didn't have a ps3 previously would have to buy a ps3 for kh1.5 and 2.5 and a ps4 for kh3 which is very expensive and not everyone is fortunate enough to get them both.

Gaikai is a streaming company Sony purchased. They've stated that there's the possibility of streaming games via the service from all Playstation generations, but they've yet to announce any details.

Look at it this way; you have at least 2-3 years before KHIII is released to worry about PS4. By then it may have even received a price cut. If you have a PS3 already there's no reason not to get 1.5 now; it's awesome, and 2.5 will be awesome. If you don't have a PS3 then yeah, it will be an expensive way to experience the series, but a PS3 bought today means you'll have an excellent backlog of games to tide you over until you make the jump to PS4.

OR, surprise option! If you haven't got them already, go get a PS2, KH, re:CoM, and KHII for cheap. Sure, they're not in HD or the Final Mix versions, but it's a much less expensive way to get caught up on the series.

Wait, wasn't the PS3 $600?

Hold on... ($200 PS3 + $400 PS4......).....OH, right, never mind!

Square Enix and Disney would both have to agree in order to make it playable on that service. Nomura said back in July they haven't thought of it yet.
