Don't You Just Hate Being Sick?

Posted

Don't you just really hate being sick? I mean when you're sick your throat hurts, ESPECIALLLY when you swallow. Plus your nose gets all stuffy and how your body feels super weak that it feels like you can barely stand up right and thzt you never get as hungry as you normally do..  And some of the medicine you take tastes aweful too when you're sick. Only good thing that comes out from being sick is that you get to stay home from school or work.

Ya but at my school if we dont miss 5 or more days we dont have to take final exams so even if im sick got to

I'm sick atm, so I can relate perfectly.

Ugh. And I think I'll have to go to work tomorrow, too, when I've felt terrible for 3+ days, but such is life, I guess:)

About a month ago I was really sick, some guy in P.E. ran into me and slammed into my arm really hard, it really hurt, but, I'm a tough person(at least I like to think so) so I didn't make a big deal out of it. I was sick as hell for the next two weeks, I always felt so bad after coming home from school I just wanted to lay down and die. Not to mention my arm hurt, and it started to swell pretty soon. My insurance was messed up so I didn't get to go to the doctor until two weeks after it happened. Turned out there was a busted blood vessel or something and that had caused a blood clot in my arm, and it had a staph infection, as well. (This is not a professional explanation btw, I don't even understand it all, I'm just trying to put it in the simplest way possible) I had to go to a hospital and have surgery. They made an incision in my arm to drain out the dead blood and pus, and I just had the stitches taken out a few days ago. It's still recovering, and I'm excused from any physical activity in school for the next two weeks. That's an upside, I guess.

This got kind of off topic, but yes, those two weeks before surgery were the sickest I've ever been, and yes, I did hate it.

I don't get sick that often. I usually get sick once or twice a school year...but when I do, I can't even remember anything I did that day while I was sick...oh, so THAT'S why I had my copy of Pokemon SoulSilver suddenly beat...

i almost never get sick, but when i do, i love it. no school-no stress fo me

I hate being sick... I'll wake up and try to do something, but end up just laying on my bed and rest again.

I'm home schooled, so when I'm sick, there's usually no escape.

I never stay home when I'm sick. It's just way to inconvenient to miss a day of school (or more). Plus, I like having perfect attendance. I don't know why, but I do.

But yeah, I hate being sick. Especially when I have a runny nose, and then my nose gets dry from all the tissues I need to use. T_T

Not all the time. Sometimes I use it as an excuse to be on bed the whole day. Felt really great the day after.

Actually I love being sick,  I get to stay home and enjoy the rest of the day from school. I wish I could be sick for once, anything will work for me unless it's life threatening.
