[Zelda MM] I think I figured out something

Posted

You know how at the beginning of MM, Skull Kid claims to have killed Epona? I think he did. You see, Termina is a parallel Hyrule. There is a double of everyone, even Link (Kafei) So, the horses probably have one too. You even see the Gorman Brothers riding the other two horses seen in Lon Lon Ranch. Which means, the Epona we see at Chateau Ranch is the Termina version, and the Hyrule version is dead.

I dun remember him mentioning that he killed Epona so much as took her away.

"There's no point in riding a thing like that, so I did you a little favor and got rid of him...""Oh, boo hoo, why the sad face?"

Are you sure Kafei is the parallel version of Link? All the Termina version are physically idential to their Hyrule counterpart.

And about Epona,I also believed it at first after seeing a crazy theory on the Internet, but aparently there's a Gossip stone in the game that says this:

A small, lost horse seems to have been taken in by Romani Ranch, south of town…

It obviouly refers to our Epona and that explains why she ended up in Romani Ranch.

Never thought about till now... wow o.o

Well, there is no Link in MM, and there is no Kafei in OoT, so I think we can just assume so.

That doesn't necessarily mean he killed Epona. He just got rid of her, hid her somewhere.  Link knew the Epona he saw at Romani Ranch was the Epona he entered Termina with.

Then where is the Epona of Termina?

I've never looked at Termina as a parallel Hyrule. It was just a parallel world.  Phatom Hourglass did the same thing. It wasn't a parallel Great Sea, it was a parallel world.

Well its a Nintendo game and a lot of kids play Zelda,so they have to be more careful when they talk about death.

I think Nintendo already confimed that Termina is a parallel version of Hyrule

Based on the Hyrule Historia, Termina is nothing more than a parallel world whose inhabitants are identical to those of Hyrule.

And before anyone notes me on this, the Hyrule Historia also states that Skull Kid stole Epona and the Ocarina of Time from Link. By this point, it's evident that Epona in Termina is Epona from Hyrule.

While I disagree with this theory, its an interesting video.

This is a much more acceptable theory.  They fully back up each piece.  I can believe Link is dead in MM and is going through the stages of grief. After all, they didn't mention this part but, the last sentence for The Era of the Hero of Time (Child Era)  in the Hyrule Historia states that Link's whereabouts after the end of MM become unknown. No one knows what happened to him. What's worse is that this very terrible fate that has befallen Link happens to be Zelda's fault.

Link didn't die in MM... Unless a 10 year old could had children, since TP Link is confirmed by HH to be a descendant of the Hero of Time/OoT-MM Link.

It doesn't mean he was MM/OoT Link's child or relative.  If you've played Skyward Sword, you'd know or make sure to remember that Demise had cursed Link and Zelda to eternal incarnation where their reincarnations had to always face his eternal reincarnation, Ganondorf.

Hyrule Historia says that through the veins of TP Link flows the blood of the HoT, plus the Hero's Shade calls him his "son", so he must be a blood descendant of him, no of another reincarnation of the Spirit of the Hero. Zelda and Demise do not reincarnate, what Demise curses his Link's Spirt and Zelda's bloodline that the incarnations of his hatred will forever follow their kind. The one that incarnates is Demise's Hatred and the one that reincarnates is the SotH, while Zelda only has her bloodline affected.
