So I decided to pick through the trailer, following Evan Wells' instructions, and I found a few peculiar things on the map. Some of the written things on the map are locations and quotations. For those who have not seen it, it can be seen here:http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/15/uncharted-teased-for-ps4I wrote down on notepad what I could make out:

C das Agullas
Agullas
Cape of Good Hope

Thesonquas
B. de Algoa

"I have left everything"
Prmiera
Terralde Natai

Callico Inhar
C. Coriente
Agnada

"Every betrayed as all"
P. Dauphin
Matatanes
Mada Island
"Abandon your hopes"
An tavares

The Red Mountain
"For God and Liberty"
"Hodie Mecvm Eris In Paradiso" written around the skull

I translated the line around the skull through google translate, trading the v for a u and got this:

Today will be with me in paradise. From what I gather about it, when you see the words "paradise" and synonyms of it around symbols of death, it means death is paradise. The speaker probably is using the fact that he was labeled as dead and wants the protagonist, if Nate, to be labeled as dead as well.Since the Cape of Good Hope is in South Africa, maybe the game (or at least a portion of) takes place in this location. The antagonist is probably the speaker we heard.

I googled "P. Dauphin" and most of the results were about Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, which is why I say a portion of the game may take place in South Africa and perhaps not the whole game.I think the antagonist may be Zoran Lazaveric, since he's the only antagonist I can think of who was buried alive, but I could be wrong. What do you guys think?

Yeah, that's cool. WHERE'S JAK AND DAXTER 4?????

I'm anxious for that too, but we cant blame Uncharted for the lack of it. It's a different team, the team that made The Last of us, who normally does Jak and Daxter.

Another reason for the ps4. The uncharted games are just Amazing

PS4 needs some more good exclusives and having Uncharted on it will boost it's sales even more. As the time passes the PS4 will get even better. :D

Naughty Dog won't do it. The officially confirmed that they'd have to reboot the series in order to do it and fear the outcome of the reboot, which is why The Last of Us went through so well amongst the team when it was brought up.

On the note of the Cape of Good Hope, I'm looking into its mythology, as the Uncharted series takes history and mixes it with the equivalent mythology for said historical landmark/location.  I'm not too sure what lies within the mythology of Madagascar, but my bet is that a major portion of the title will be there, not Cape of Good Hope.  The history on Madagascar's era of Pirates and Slave-traders, it denotes Robert Drury, who was ship wrecked on Madagascar at the age of 17. From that point on, he was abandoned on the island for 15 years to be exact.  Whatever the pirates made their stronghold for, it must have noted in Drury's journal on his journeys in Madagascar.  Our boy Nathan Drake must have gotten his hands on the journal and now sets out to answer the questions left behind by Drury.

I didn't look that hard to see mythology, but that's pretty great. The Zoran Lazarevic theory would require a timeskip anyways. But I doubted it since I don't recall Todd Stashwick ever voicing before in an Uncharted game.

I'm thinking it may be a quote from Robert Drury's journal.  Let's see, in the trailer he mentions being chained up and being left on Madagascar (the hell hole) for 15 years.  When Robert Drury was marooned on Madagascar in the 1700s when his ship wrecked, he became a slave to the king of the African tribe on the island for about 10 of his 15 years stranded there. Usually, slaves are in relation to chains. They tried to make an escape instead of becoming slaves, but most of his crew was chopped up into pieces right before his eyes. I bet one of them escaped though, and left him behind, never coming back for him. In fact Drury went back to Madagascar not too long after he got back to England. Whatever he went back for, he was waiting, sifting through the wreckage of his ship.

Jak and Daxter is one of the last things that needs to be rebooted, right up there with Terminator and Robocop. You've got a plethora of story there just waiting to be continued, not to mention the massive cliffhanger at the end of Jak X! What is Naughty Dog thinking?

Evan Wells actually said that when they tried Jak 4 he felt they'd disservice the fans.  He also noted that Jak 4 was still up in the air, but it's chances are very, very slim.

An Uncharted reboot doesn't sound like a brilliant idea to me. Unless the protagonist is still Nate. I can't imagine what Uncharted would be without Nate, and I would be disappointed if it didn't have Nate. But hey, they made Nate a lovable protagonist in the first game, maybe they can do the same with a new guy.

There is one thing that needs noting...

the trailer simply says "UNCHARTED".

It has no subtitle... (not yet, they usually save the subtitle for later). But what really seems interesting about this is that, subtitle or not, you'd think they would still have it be "UNCHARTED 4"... I can understand not having a subtitle, but not putting the number up there?

One of two things... either it's because they just wanted the Uncharted name for effect... or it's not Uncharted 4, but rather a prequel or a spin off or maybe even a reboot.

I think it was there mainly for the effect of showing us a new Uncharted title was in the works. There's no need for a reboot to this series already.

Yeh and Drake won't probably be in it.  My guess is his son.

Or both and it ends up like that crappy fourth Indiana Jones movie... :/
