First week sales for LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII are in. And it's pretty poor.

 

It only managed to sell 277,082. Far from what Square Enix would have wanted. XIII-2 sold double that and it was still poor.

 

This does not include digital sales from the PlayStation Network. And the Xbox 360 version failed to sell enough to be counted.

Somewhat as well...The series wasn't good to most fans and it felt like they were forcing fans to like it...

Didn't KHHD sell a lot? And plus this includes KH2 and BBS, it will sell nice.. And FFX is considered by most thee best FF game... So that'll sell. And if they release the Sleeping Dogs sequel next year... They got some good games lined up, but I'm afraid most people are disinterested in anything to do with FFXIII (both American and Japanese audiences), as for the upcoming games, they're sure to sell.

HD 1.5 ReMIX sold like 100,000. It sold well for a HD Collection, but it sold less than LIGHTNING RETURNS. 

 

Sleeping Dogs didn't reach their expectations either. I can't see the sequel selling more.

But the story and gameplay look so awesome! whats wrong with you japan gamers!

It sold poorly in Japan? I sort of expected the game to be selling little bit more than this. The gameplay actually looks good, and in my opinion, better than XIII and XIII-2's.

Not surprised, this is Xiii we're talking about. Still I like it, the gameplay is good, Lightning is still sexy.

I expected much less sales than this because,let's face it.

 

As much as I'm willing to play LRFFXIII,the XIII series really wore out of it;s welcome

 

Not to mention that the console market in Japan is dying.

 

People are either playing a 3DS,a Vita,a PSP or an iOS

 

if a game isn't on those three,most Japanese people will overlook it especially since handhelds are much cheaper

 

Not to mention,the time system in LRFXIII is literally ripped off from Majora's Mask.....it's really similar to it it's ridiculous

 

the only difference is that you have 13 days instead of 3

 

If you've played Majora's Mask,you've already experienced LRFFXIII

I am so annoyed from those Japanese gamers. What do they want more than that?! They probably get everything and they are still not happy!
