December 5, 201312 yr Oh, great. Announced in 2006, not even really worked on until five years later. You know, there's two extremes too many companies take with their games. There's the Call of Duty/Battlefield yearly releases with few changes, then there's the games that take half-decades to even begin development. This is almost as bad as Half-Life. At least with this, though, they've finally got it on track. Let's hope it stays that way and they don't screw it up. I'd really like the future of FF to be better than the 2000's. FINAL FANTASY IX and FINAL FANTASY X are viewed as two of the most popular FINAL FANTASY games of all time. And I'd say FINAL FANTASY XI, XII, Crisis Core, Advent Children and XIV: A Realm Reborn have all been great successes. I honestly believe all numbered FINAL FANTASY games are great.
December 5, 201312 yr Popular Post I just assumed they worked on it for two years and then used the next five deciding whether or not to change the name.

This is almost as bad as Duke Nukem Forever Basically, the development process was a complete utter mess. We would've got the game by 2011 now if Yoichi Wada didn't f*** everything up Sure there are games that takes more than 3 years to develop like most of Zelda games.......but this is ridiculous 7 years of secrecy and total silence until 2013???uhhhhhhhhhhhh And don't tell me the 2011 trailer because that revealed nothing 2011:Hey guys, the game is still coming to Ps3 Two years later: Sorry guys, you gotta buy another console in order to play it Edited December 5, 201312 yr by Metal Snake
December 15, 201312 yr They probably started on it for couple of years and after it they started thinking that the engine that they need for FF Versus XIII wouldn't fit on the PS3 so they waited until they get enough informations about the PS4 and then they started working on it.
