And there goes PewDiePie`s career.

I would say good riddance... but if he's going to go through the same thing as us with Youtube then I won't make it worse.

You can't possibly be serious.

Ignorance is bliss, Rox.

And here I was planning to start making my own video game countdowns. Anyone know of any good clean sites where I can easily stream videos like on YouTube?

Vimeo is the #2 video streaming website.

What the H*ll is going on with youtube

What the H*ll is going on with youtube

I read from Polygon that Youtube/Google is trying to save their butts from future lawsuits, should the companies decide to sue Youtube for displaying their content. But the companies have been letting it slide, and everyone should be under protection of Fair Use, therefore, what Youtube is doing, is possibly unconstitutional.

I think you're missing the point that the real problem is not re-uploading KH13's cutscenes on somewhere else if something happens.

The real problem is that this is going to affect the rest of Youtube people, famous or not, who make quality and special videos, that are not just some simple cutscenes. Those who make quality videos are risking not to be able to monetize them anymore, and if a partner has no monetization enabled then it's a serious thing.

I myself wouldn't spend my days wasting my time making un-monetizable videos, if I knew that I could just spend my time for better purposes like studying. Sure, I used to do that when I was 15 just for fun, but now that I am 22 and money has become a priority for my daily needs, as a Youtube partner I feel the need to get payed in order to keep going.

Not gonna sound selfish, but 90% of Youtube partners make quality videos because they know they're going to get some decent reward off it. And with quality videos I don't mean a simple playlist of Kingdom Hearts cutscenes.

Agree with you, bro.

Personally I don't make videos or anything, but I know a lot of people will suffer because of these changes. It's a lot bigger than taking away a few cutscenes that KH13 uploaded, it will have direct effects on some people's lives, but the problem is that people nowadays don't worry about anything else besides themselves, and that's why the world is getting worse and worse..

R.I.P Youtube.

Ah well time to go kill the copyright thing,Nya!

Angry Joe sums it up pretty well. I actually feel pretty bad for him, 62 of his most successful videos have been flagged. If this bullcrap keeps up, youtubers like him won't be able to keep doing what they're doing, or at least make a living off of it.

This happened earlier to the Cynical Brit

Whether you love Pewdiepie or hate him, the fact that he's the number one most subscribed channel on youtube says something very important. Gaming is one of the most popular, if not the most popular genre on youtube. In fact, it's almost certainly the top user created genre on youtube (meaning that the content on the channel is created entirely by the person/people who own the channel).

If youtube keeps up this horseshit, gamers will eventually exodus to other websites to get their content. There are already plenty of alternatives.
