while playing my beloved kingdom heart 1.5 i noticed i had went through the game without using any summons so i began to think of ffx ( which happens to be my favorite in the series) so i began to wonder how meny times ive used the aeons ( which happens to be ALOT) and i thought what if kingdom heart had summons like shiva and ifrit? would it still ruin the game for you if they were introduced in a slightly tonned way? i happen to be quite fond of the idea but tell me what do you think either way i will repect your opinion.

If I remember correctly Square wanted to use Bahamut as a summon way back in KH1. But the idea was scrapped because all the other summons were Disney characters. But I don't really care about the summons to be honest, because I almost never use them. I only used Tinkerbell once when I fought the Maleficent dragon.

  exactly my point. i paid no mind to the kh summons becouse they were quit useless and tidious in my eyes..but aeons!! that's a diffrent story entirely.

  not necessarily. kingdom heart 3 is still in early development. the rides were mearly ideas that could easily get scraped faster then bahamut or the xemnas minitor boss fight.

I like the Disney summons.  We have the FF series for FF summons.  But clearly time will tell what direction they decide to go in.

 

And I've been making good use out of some of the summons (which I was little with the original I never went past the magic menu).  Dumbo is a guaranteed way to get Fury Stones from Gigas Shadows 100% every time, and Bambi drops synthesis items and free potions/hi potions/elixirs (which you can then use for the Grand Ghost heartless without having to spend munny) and he's the easiest way to farm Mythril Shards for synthesis.

  interesting. i personally never even glance at it much like a good majority of people. but im glad they served you some use more then they did me.

Sora should if he will be mature in KHIII I would love to see some Odin and Sleipnir action. Plus I love Ifrit and Bahamut.

May i ask why do you want an FF elements to be in KH?

It'd be kind of neat. A lot of people want more FF in the game, without it necessarily becoming so overpowering that it takes over. I think the summons are probably the right balance for that. They're recognizable enough that people would get the reference, without being too much. Also, I think having a mix of both Disney and FF summons would be pretty nifty: if the Disney ones were more practical and tactical (such as Tinkerbell, Bambi), while the FF ones were more offence based.

Final Fantasy characters should be summons. Summoning Cloud into battle would be sweet omnislashing everywhere and shitI really liked battling with FF characters during KH2 and being able to do that anytime would be cool. Having hidden boss fights against a variety of FF characters and earning them as summons afterwards would be sweet.

I used summons heaps in KH1... Mainly to collect synthesis items easily. Running around Traverse Town with Bambi is one of the fondest memories I have of KH1.

 

In KH2 they had little use and didn't suit the tone of the game, but in KH1 I think they fit in well.

 

All the summons had logical reasons for them being obtained, Genie/Tinkerbell going with you on your journey, or restoring the hearts of creatures who lost their worlds. Whereas in KH2 they were just random summons you got from a chest (generally). Summons need to have some story-reason behind them or they seem out of place imo.Final Fantasy summons/aeons might work, if there's a reason for them. I wouldn't want them in the game unless there is a Final Fantasy world (which is unlikely to happen because of the random ages/species of FFX characters). Or if there's a Final Fantasy character you can summon who can in turn summon an Aeon (summon-ception, in other words). Sora being able to summon an Aeon directly would go against the lore of Final Fantasy X, and would just feel weird.

hmmmm....there is much sense in your word's but you forgetting that kingdom hearts takes place in an alternate universe. there are rifts and tears in the universe in which it may be possible for sora to travel to the main universe. i doubt sora will get aeons or fight anima and saymore (as ive always drept of doing) but normal summons like shiva or irit & bahamut (who are already in the game) are not impossible would make sense and overall would just feel right using them. in my opinion
