This is What I Think is the Most Visually Appealing Game Ever.

Note: I didn't say realistic. Also, I'm not the type to judge a game based on graphics. In fact, graphics are a factor I never take into consideration when deciding on a game to get, or how much I enjoy a game. I can appreciate them however, but that's usually just "Oh, hey, that looks cool."

Yes. A Nintendo game. As I said earlier, while I can appreciate a game's art style or graphics, it's usually not more than "It looks cool, moving on." However, there have been moments during this game when I've wanted to just stare and take it all in. The game's artstyle was already aesthetically pleasing, but paired with HD, it's absolutely breathtaking. When it comes to games, I have a bit of a soft spot for bright and colorful games, they've always tended to draw me in more. This game is definitely the best example I can think of.

Also, I don't want to sound like I love this game just for the visuals. The game is spectacular, and the art style is just a part of it. I just felt like I wanted to share my thoughts on the art style of Wind Waker, since it truly has amazed me. It really helps draw me into the game when I get a world that looks as beautiful as this one.

Pikmin 3 and this game are amazing colourful splashs of greatness.

Pikmin 3 looked great too, I just haven't played it yet. xD I really like WWHD's artstyle too, which helps that one a lot.

The only problem with the original WW was the somewhat jagged edges. Now that 's been corrected this is truly a game that will never show it's age.

Wind Waker is my favorite LoZ game, but these ones are my favorites :P

The first two look good (The second's okay, looks kinda ordinary to me though. The shakiness was making me feel sick though, so I couldn't look for long. xD) The second reminds me of WWHD for some reason. ._. I think I really like these bright, vibrant games over realistic games. They have a nice feel to them.

Yeah, I know, brights games are more... "happy?" I don't know, but they are always fun to play.

Yeah, I like an overall happy feel to a game. I just can't enjoy it as much when the whole game feels super dark and depressing.

I tend to like FF and the likes of Resonance of Fate's aesthetics personally.

I never liked the FF designs much to be honest. FFVI looked really cool for a SNES game, that was about it though.

agreed. one of the best artstyles in gaming.

I just like more realistic features and proportions to chibi art.  I hardly like playing them though cause I think there's too much detail on the screen that it's easy to overlook collectables thinking it's part of an elaborate wall design

Yeah, that and when the background is so detailed that background elements can be mistaken for the foreground (This is mostly in Final Fantasy VII, I had a lot of trouble telling the difference).

Makes me wish we had a Legend of Zelda sub-forum since there seems to be a good amount of people whole loves Zelda games.

I liked wind waker's graphics you just get those moments where you look at the view and you're just like O.O :P

The most visually impressive game for me was probably, of all things, Xenoblade. Not so much the character models, those just suck. But those backgrounds...oh my God those backgrounds! It's either this game, or...I dunno...Okami, I guess.

As for games I like only because of the graphics, that'd be L.A. Noire. Seriously, the game would be near impossible without the good graphics that it has, with how the gameplay is situated.

The Xenoblade models are good... I know what you mean about the backgrounds though. That might be my #2 for those, aw dang.

FINAL FANTASY XV looks better.

Bolded line. Also, FFXV looks too generic. Nothing about the trailers really amazed me visuals-wise.

Visual Appel IMO would be Flower.....I srsly want to play that.

T___T;;

May watch this video sometime though :P
