Its been a month or 2 since Jump Festa and we've barely gotten any news on it since then. I figured around now we'd have a release date, or at least some more news, but we haven't gotten scratch. :

 

When do you guys think we'll find out more? Are there any events that Nomura might have the chance to show a new trailer at?

 

Also, i've been hearing that Nomura said that they're going to make a new scene that bridges the gap between KH2 and KH3D, is this true?

Normally Square Enix holds some sort of press conference in February where they announce things. So maybe in the next few weeks. I'm not sure about upcoming events. Also, I'm guessing that since there has been no release date for any region at this point and last year at this time we knew the march release date for 1.5 in Japan, they are probably going to do a worldwide release either in the summer or around September. My best bet for news is no later than March.

 

As far as the extra scene goes, Nomura did say they would be adding scenes though they will be to Re:Coded. Considering that game occurs post-KH2, there will be a scene that helps to connect Re:Coded to KH3D. They are also going to try and add some battle scenes as well as more story scenes that didn't occur in the actual game to try and fill out the story a bit more.

 -- Kingdom Hearts Re Coded (Want to see how well they adapted the scenes from the actual game.  [Pete's expression with Data-Sora's "New Keyblade"]).

 

While you're at it, how soon will it be before they reveal more of the Gameplay/Storyline Hints for Kingdom Hearts 3?!

Honestly, I think the reason we still don't have a release date is because they may be working on that Birth by Sleep -Volume Two- to add it to KH2.5. I mean, would it really take that much to make BBSv2? Just reuse the BBS engine and models, then make a short plot like the one in coded and done, a game that is less time-consuming to make than the others in the franchise.

I would love to see them actually make a BBS Volume 2 for 2.5, but considering how they went through all that work to delete all videos that had the BBS V2 sign in the ending(unless the channel was partnered), it would seem more likely to remove that scene and replace it with "To be continued" at the end of Secret Episode to do less work. Its only an HD collection. :

Maybe small bits from twitter and such, but anything major I'm putting on my bets on E3 as well.

BBSV2 doesn't need to be long, in fact, the timespan of the first game and the time difference for the Realm of Darkness would already put restrictions on the size of the story.

Thats true, i hope that they make a BBS V2. 

 

that could also pose a problem, but im sure they'll find a way around it. they'll probably just extend the time aqua felt she was in there to like 2-4 years to make it seems not as much time passes.

I really doubt that there will be no news at all before E3, it is usually held in June and that seems like a very long time to not release any news.

But what if there was something already developed in the past? Someone brought up in KHInsider that the Secret Episode looked like a beta for a game: It gives you unusable items and a boss battle from which neither you nor the game take benefit from.

hmm i guess it may be true, but it probably be unlikely that they would incorporate it into 2.5. They also wouldn't release it after 3 either cuz xehanort saga is gonna be done with.
