Nintendo has today announced that its first Nintendo Direct broadcast of 2014 will air tomorrow, with a focus on revealing more details on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS titles releasing by the end of spring 2014. The broadcast will be hosted by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and Nintendo of Europe President Satoru Shibata.

Nintendogs Benny edition pls.

All I'm looking forward to is MK 8 gameplay footage. (Since it says end of Spring.)

Finally, a Nintendo Direct scheduled for a time where I don't have to wake up early to watch it when it first comes up!

Its about damn time

This is exciting! Maybe this will help make me decide what to do with my birthday coming up!

YA BUDDYYYYY

let me go ahead and start refreshing smash bros website

Really hoping to see some news on X, we haven't heard, anything about that one since E3. Also, predicting Diddy Kong for SSB.

Super Smash Bros release date? PLEASE.

Well since this ND will be about gaming coming out in the spring then new news on Smash bros. 4 is unlikely.

To be fair, Nintendo tends to deviate from their main focus in each Direct, especially when it comes to Smash Bros. I don't think something as big as a release date will be announced tomorrow, but I'm kind of expecting to see a new character announcement for DKC. I won't be upset if there isn't SSB news, but I think it's fairly likely.

Well true. But I won't be surprised if they announce Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong since everybody knows that they will obviously be in SSB4.

We've already seen Donkey Kong, but yeah, I'm predicting we'll get a confirmation for Diddy Kong in SSB4. They usually announce a new SSB character to tie in with a new major game (I believe Toon Link was announced within a month of Wind Waker HD for example, I might be wrong though. That was ages ago), so I think it's pretty likely that we'll see him get confirmed tomorrow.

The last ND was supposed to be for this same exact reason, but we say where that went. xD

True. Just like how they showed Hyrule Warriors out of the blue.

Is it true that there will be some sort of Mario Kart battle arena in this new super smash bros game ?

I just feel like posting my predictions, and then some other things I'd like to see, but aren't likely.

Predictions

1. Trailer for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

2. Confirmation for Diddy Kong in Smash Bros 4

3. Yoshi's New Island trailer

4. Sonic Lost World DLC

5. Hyrule Warriors update

6. Kirby Triple Deluxe release date for outside of Japan

7. New trailer for Monolith Soft's "X"

8. Information on the Diance distribution for Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

9. Announcement concerning DS games on Virtual Console

10. New announcement from Next Level Games (Revival of another old franchise? Maybe F-Zero?)

11. Yarn Yoshi news?

12. Super Mario Bros 3 will be released on the Nintendo eShop

Other announcements I'd like to see

1. Mother 1-3 collection for 3DS, or at least Mother 3 on Virtual Console

2. Maybe a new Pokemon game?

3. GBA on Virtual Console

4. Dragon Quest VII 3D and Dragon Quest X confirmed for release outside Japan

Also, like last time, I'm going to do an analysis on this Direct when I've finished watching it. I had a lot of fun with doing one last time, so why not again?

Saving the best stuff for last, at least imo.

GBA games on the Wii U is nice. Although the pixelation is going to be bothersome, so I'm not sure if I'll bother buying in the future. inb4wynaut3ds

That X game though... why must we wait longer?!

Mario Kart 8 should keep me busy while I wait for more news such as that X game and Smash Bros., but until then my Wii U will collect dust again. Tsk tsk tsk Nintendo, Wii U needs a bit more games, but with the lack of 3rd party games, I'm not surprised more games weren't announced for the Spring term. Now for the long term, like maybe Fall-Winter, things are going to get really interested.
