March 8, 201411 yr Use attacks on yourselves to level up stats quickly since the game doesn't differentiate your own attacks from enemies'.Also don't give your good equipment to the people who make up the 4th party slot because when they leave the party, they take your equipment with them. What? So we're playing as Saiyans?
March 8, 201411 yr What? So we're playing as Saiyans? Nope lol. The leveling system is that if you "use" a stat, it levels up: "HP ---> Severe loss of HP in ONE BATTLEMP ---> Frequent use of MP in ONE BATTLEStrength ---> Attacking, over MANY BATTLESEndurance ---> Losing HP, over ONE BATTLESpirit ---> Using White Magic, over MANY BATTLESIntelligence ---> Using Black Magic, over MANY BATTLESAccuracy ---> Use of Weapons, over MANY BATTLESEvasion ---> Physical Attacks are aimed at you, over MANY BATTLESAgility ---> Physical Attacks are aimed at you, over MANY BATTLESMagic Defense ---> Magic Spells are aimed at you, over MANY BATTLES" source:gamefaqs faved guide on FF dawn of souls. there are also weapon magic leves, and if you level up a stat maybe you'll descrse another. -As you gain STR, you might decrease INT.-As you gain INT, you might decrease END.-As you gain SPR, you might decrease STR. same source.

This sounds horrible.
March 8, 201411 yr Don't give Guy weapon, he does a lot more damage bare fisted. At least i remember so. I not 100% sure, it's been like 3-4years last time i played the game. Edited March 8, 201411 yr by freer709

March 9, 201411 yr Author It sucks that so many people avoided this game just because the battle system's different... Well HP is the most important stat.
March 9, 201411 yr Well HP is the most important stat. And it's not that tough to get it higher, either.
March 9, 201411 yr Author And it's not that tough to get it higher, either. I'd rather not kill myself. Lol.
March 9, 201411 yr I'd rather not kill myself. Lol. You don't even have to die, you just lower your health.
March 9, 201411 yr Author You don't even have to die, you just lower your health. I tried that, I died. Lol.
March 9, 201411 yr It sucks that so many people avoided this game just because the battle system's different... You avoided the battle system in XII if I'm not mistaken, and you don't want to have anything to do with XIII at all. I played II and I thought the battle system was unenjoyable.

March 14, 201411 yr It sucks that so many people avoided this game just because the battle system's different... I used to play that game all the time and loved it. I beat the main story and Reverse Rebirth. then one day a year ago I read on how the stat system works and now I have a hard time enjoying it..damn you internet!!!!
I'm about to start FINAL FANTASY II. Anyone got any tips?
