Whether Xion was a replica and not a true Organizer or not, she still developed her own personality and memories. Besides, Xion left a void when she left. I figure: adding Xion as an Absent Silhouette and Replica Data can REALLY help the story stay on track.

The absent silhouettes were created by the original Organization to bring out Roxas (as stated by Demyx in the Underworld). No one can remember Xion, so her having an absent silhouette wouldn't make sense in the context of the story.

I didn't know that. Still, Xion developed her own personality and memories (as well as her own gender.) And 358/2 days and KH2 are really connected. So I figure Xion should fill the void that takes away some sense in KH2.

As he said Gridline, It wouldn't make sense in story context. Sure, add Xion's Absent Silhouette if they wish but make it very hidden and not in the Cave of Rememberance, maybe in a secret room in the Castle That Never Was.

The whole tragedy that was Xion is that she didn't leave a void at all. There was never a proper place for her, so all this talk of references to her across games is pointless and incorrect. For better or for worse, Xion faded totally from memory and from existence. 

The whole point of Xion's "death" was that people who knew (about) her would forget that she even existed. So adding her as a absent silhouette wouldn't make much sense to me.

It would be nice, but I think it's best if we maintain it in our imagination.

I doubt they would, I believe they are just porting an English version of final mix. Would be cool to see though.
