Again it's just a rumor...it'll be absolutely stupid to announce and advertise new games like Mario KArt 8 and Smash 4 only to ditch the place they're played on

it takes time,researching and funding which takes years before the console is even announced

 

Those are randomly generated rumors based on the generic doom predictions around

    This whole new console business is just the Quality of Life project that Iwata was talking about...and people misinterpeted that as new console

    Just a rumor, surely a false one, since anyone could edit the code to say that, it is not like people begun to play with it after this, BUT if there is indeed a new console reveal, it will obviously be the QoL platform, Iwata did say that he would reveal it on 2014 and it would be ready for release on April 2015.

    As much as I would love Nintendo to have finally get caught up in the graphics race again, I don't think Nintendo would want to release any news about anything that would overshadow the Wii U. They still need to get that thing off the ground.

    The title of the whole thread is about that....it's just a rumor

    Nintendo will definitely not announce a new console at E3.They still have big plans for it like having DS games on virtual console and sales are about to increase with Mario Kart 8,Smash 4,Bayonetta 2,Zelda Wii U and other upcoming games,announcing a new console would only hurt Nintendo right now.
