Now, before I begin, let me quickly say that I realize that it is very improbable that there will be competitive multiplayer in KH3. In fact, it's probably impossible, but that doesn't mean I can't talk about the concept. Now, to begin, I think it would be a Seven lights vs. Thirteen darknesses mode, which you unlock after beating the game. Each character would have a different move set. E.X. Riku would have moves like Dark Aura, Xigbar would probably have something to do with his crossbows etc. etc. That's it for now, but I'll probably think of some other things for it later. So, your ideas on it?

I would love that. I know a lot of people want KH3 to simply stay a strong single-player experience but I would love a lot of thoughtful multiplayer experiences. Multiplayer has the potential to keep

This is pretty much the idea I had. I never thought about minigames though, but that'd be pretty cool.

Oh, I know it's not feasible, but it's cool.

Nomura wants to implement Multiplayer in someway, so it's not impossible.

I had an idea that I mentioned in a thread of my own, but I called it Keyblade Wars. You basically chose a character for the Heroes/Lights, and a character for the Villains/Darknesses, and played different game modes competitively and cooperatively. You'd have RPG-esque team deathmatch or something.

Ha, I didn't even notice that thread. That idea sounds good as well.

My thread's old. Hidden in the depths of the KH3 board.

Oh. I went back about 5 pages to see if anyone else had had the idea, but evidently I should have gone further.

Nah, everyone's free to their ideas. Each idea's unique and different. There's no General Discussion thread for Multiplayer right now, so we're all safe to separately post our ideas.

That's true. However, upon looking up your thread, I like that idea as well. Anyway, if there is a mulitiplayer mode, I just want to play as Xigbar.

So long as they disable all voice chat, I don't see any problems with this.

I agree with no voice chat. Or at least make it mutable. This just occurred to me, let's say that Luxord was a playable character, how would he work?

I'm sorry, but whenever I hear or see the words "multiplayer for KH3" my mind resorts to this single answer:

The idea of it annoys me just as much. I know; BBS had multiplayer, but I just don't see it for a game like KH3. I believe the game should be focused entirely on the story and minigames it could likely have, but hey, just my opinion.

For the story part, that's the reason for it being unlocked after the story is done. I do want the game to be focused on story, but a multiplayer mode based off the story would be cool. But once again, it's your opinion, and there's nothing wrong with that.

While I'm more of a coop man myself, a competitive multiplayer would also be welcome. Being able to use heroes and villains alike would be nice.

Kingdom Hearts has always been solo game for me personally, but I wouldn't mind your idea. I actually hope they bring back the Mirage Arena and give it a bit more backstory, because in BBS it just pops the heck out of nowhere and nobody says anything about it.The only reason I would be down for multiplayer in KH3 is so that 20 people can use Attraction Flow at the same time, just to make a huge theme park essentially

Hm, mirage arena in KHIII... That's actually a good idea. Well, we can all hope.

Considering they've done it with Days, a multiplayer mode unlockable in the game, I don't see why it's completely improbable. I would be happy enough though with a place like Mirage Arena or them doing "international" battles at the coliseum where you could go online and fight other players or their ghost and build up points for a trophy or item or something.  I wouldn't want a leader board is my main concern.  If you had to place first in an international leaderboard to get a prize it'd be near impossible for the majority of players to take that spot.

So a KH version of Sonic Adventure 2's Hero mode and Dark mode stories then?

Yeah, as I mentioned earlier, Mirage Arena would be a good idea.

More like Uncharted's Heroes vs. Villains.

I fancy myself more into the Cooperative multiplayer but, that's not a bad idea. Wait though I got something for you, see what I'll get here. Brace yourselves, I might get so much hate here......Kingdom Hearts MMO.

KH MMO. That would either be one of the best KH games... or one of the worst, depending on how SE would handle it. Thinking about it however, I don't really see where it would fit in. Unless it's either set during the keyblade wars (Which we already have KH X for, I think) or is not considered Canon.

That was my exact thought for the setting, during the Keyblade wars, I mean all those keyblades, need one reason for why the place was filled with them, why not make an MMO then

I'm probably about to make a fool of myself, but when does KH X take place? I could've sworn it took place during that time period. Either way, that's an interesting idea. The more I think about, the more I think I'm wrong about KH X.

Sounds like it'd get pretty unbalanced. Multiplayer in KHIII sounds good at first but I'd rather SE focus on creating a great single player experience.
