Things I'm happy about from the 2.5 trailer

Featured Replies

1. The voice acting. They used two scenes that were previously silent in FM! Which means they went farther than they did in 1.5, by recording new dialogue! So now we won't have any scenes that are just awkward voiceless scenes like in 1.5.

2. The KH3 voice acting. The fact that we have dialogue from KH3 (one of them being the VA of Young Xehanort) tells me that they've at least started recording the dialogue, and that they're getting somewhere with the game. That's promising. And even if they don't show KH3 at E3, Square has been heavily hinting that they will show it soon. Maybe TGS? Because they've dropped way too many hints to just leave us with nothing.

3. Fight Scenes in Re:Coded. Yeah, nobody cares about Re:Coded. But did you see that scene where Sora was fighting Riku? They actually decided to put fight scenes in this one! Sure, I know they already confirmed that, but it's good to see a bit of it!

What did you guys like from the trailer?

All of this. One of my highlights from the trailer was how cool the Sora vs Riku fight in the Re:Coded scenes looked, actually.

Well, in 1.5, the characters were younger. Having Riku's VA try and sound younger would've been weird.

But yeah, I agree.

Honestly, I never thought Riku sounded that different in KH1 then he did in any of the newer games.

It wasn't really that big a deal in 1.5, anyway. Some of the new cutscenes didn't have dialogue at all. But yeah, I'm glad they went the extra mile.

All in all, it looks very promising. However, I'm not happy with the release date. December seems like way too far into the year! Another thing I'm glad they're doing is calling Disney voice actors back. In 358 Days HD, the Disney aspect was completely shut out.

I don't think that the voice acting in the KHIII teaser is such a big deal, the BBS trailer from 2007 had voice acting and the game didn't come out until 2010. But if i remember correctly BBS delayd for Re:CoM so thats why it took so long from the trailer. I'm not saying i'm not happy to hear progress on KHIII, I'm just not getting my hopes up for them releasing the game so soon.

Same here. There were like so few scenes with limited Riku dialogue that the difference wouldn't have been that noticeable. The only difference would be in Mickey's dialogue, though since it was using the "mysterious voice font", his lines probably still could have been left silent.

That looked like an epic lightsaber keyblade fight between Obi Sora and Ani Riku!

Boy I can't wait to play Revenge of the Sith.  I mean Terra's story in BBSFM!

Me too. if you ask me Sora and Kairi's voices sounded different in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 Riku however, sounded the same and still does.
