Will KH3 have more game mechanics then said?

Posted

What I mean is will their be more than attraction flow and other things mentioned by SE. I wouldn't be surprised if I have to find out the rest when the game is released.

With Square, you never know what to expect.  That's part of the charm we get from playing their games: the fact that we get surprised! :D  I'm pretty sure there will be some kind of game mechanic that hasn't been announced, but that's yet to be seen.  I for one, will welcome any new innovation that Kingdom Hearts 3 will bring, full heartedly! :D

They have added new content and removed content in the past while developing their games. Not sure how it will go but an example is here, http://kingdomhearts.wikia.com/wiki/Removed_content_in_the_Kingdom_Hearts_series they have removed/changed alot of content while developing as you can see in that link.

I hope that they don't remove a lot of stuff that might be beneficial to the fans and to the overall series.

Well, we have the Command Menu (KH), the Attraction Flow to replace Flowmotion (3D) and the Keyblade transformation to replace the Command Styles (BbS). Reaction Command have become a staple of the series so they'll probably be back, Summons have been in both numbered titles and were the basis for D-links so they'll probably return and maybe Limits. So we need evolution of the Drive System, D-links and Shotlocks, maybe even upgradable Keyblades. One note about Shotlocks, I believe they have an excellent chance of returning because they came back in 3D, if only for one battle. I haven't played KHIIFM but i think I saw someone mention Lingering Sentiment used Shotlocks too, so if TAV returns, Shotlocks may too. They said it would be "a culmination of every title in the series so far, in story and gameplay" So I'm sure we'll get at least one system evolved from every game in the series except CoM and maybe Days and Coded. Since KH was the first title the Command Menu is the only gameplay system we can get from it.

But for the sake of inclusion

KH: Command MenuCoM: ???KHII: ???

Days: ???BbS: Command Styles/ Keyblade transformationCoded: ???

3D: Flowmotion/Attraction Flow

So at the very least we need something from KHII. Since Reaction Commands have become a staple of the series I don't think it would count a KHII's contribution and Limits were basically just an extension of that so my money is on an evolution of the Drive System. It could be as similar as Keyblade transformations are to Command Styles, or as different as Attraction Flow is from Flowmotion but It has to come back in some form.

They can do anything they want.

They can do anything they want.

They can. But sometimes that turns out bad or just sometimes absolutely awful.
