Arya Stark 1,337 Posted June 26, 2014 Sanya actually...smiled as Kinzoku told her no need for a heroic sacrifice. The only problem for Kinzoku was the fact...it was nearing the kerosene. That usually meant explosions or the fire could actually get into trapdoor. So, standing between the highly volatile kerosene and the fire, she began to absorb it faster. She fell to a knee and began to absorb faster as Tristan began his entirely stupid plan."You idiot!" She shouted. The flames licked closer. She began to move back, now in front of the trapdoor. The fire was out of control. she might have been able to go now, but Tristan's stupidity had forced her to waste more time holding the fire back."Kinzoku! You have to close the damn door right now! I can't hold the fire in once I stop absorbing it! I might have, but we waste too much time!" She breathed easy. "Trust me Kinzoku! Please, just trust me!"(Yo, Tristan just got rid of the kerosene)
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted June 26, 2014 (Yo, Tristan just got rid of the kerosene) (I know. Which wasted time meaning the fire she has been absorbing too quickly and too recklessly is extremely unstable and will have to be released in what would be described as a battlefield nuke type of explosion. Which honestly could have been avoided but whatever. To be clear: Sanya has to release the fire somehow, and because she's been too reckless in absorption, it will be a big bang.) It's safer to leave Sanya behind than stay and try and control magic fire that is spreading rapidly.)

It's a lot of fire - not enough to stop with fire magics or phoenix form.)
Captain Arrowguns 466 Posted June 26, 2014 (In any case, I have to wait for Cap'n, unless we're letting him get blown up) (Yeah, let's not do that.) Jasper Jasper was ready to strangle this guy. First, he doesn't bother to talk to them for the entire trip up here, and then he enacts his entirely stupid plan without asking anyone else what they thought about it. Not only did Sanya pretty much turn into a ticking time bomb buying time for this guy to move the kerosine, but now, once Sanya blew up, the kerosine would explode, and the resulting fiery explosion would have nowhere to go except through the tunnel, straight at them. And of course, they didn't have time to move the kerosine either, leaving them with only one option, "Come on guys, we need to move!" he shouted to Kinzuko and the other guy, and then turned to Sanya, "I'm sorry, but this is all I can do for you." he said, summoned Recompense, and began using its magical powers to Sanya a boost of strength. It wasn't much, since since he didn't know her very well, but it did give her a bit more energy, so that she could buy them more time. Jasper hated the idea of leaving an ally behind, but couldn't think of how to save her. Jasper then jumped through the trapdoor, motioned for the others to follow him, and ran as fast as he could down the tunnel.

Because she had to buy time for Tristan to enact his plan, she absorbed too much energy, turning her into a ticking time bomb. Sure, she'll come back, but no one except for Sanya knows that. Also, because the kerosene is in the tunnel now, and the explosion will go off near the entrance of the tunnel, the fiery explosion caused by the kerosene will have nowhere to go except for straight towards Jasper, Tristan, and Kinzuko. That said, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Everything should turn out all right in the end, and although I can't speak for Oathkeeper's character, I can say that Jasper will quickly forgive Tristan for his mistake, understanding that he meant well, and just made a simple mistake. Also, I'm sorry for having Jasper react so harshly to Tristan's plan. Hopefully this won't make you think too negatively towards this RP.)

If the trapdoor is closed, then the fire will never reach into the tunnel, and therefore, never make the kerosene go off.)Kinzoku reached up and slammed shut the door. She hated leaving Sanya like that, but she trusted that Sanya knew what she was doing. Kinzoku quickly took some of her ingots, extended them into a square the shape of the trapdoor, and kept it in place right under the trapdoor. Hopefully this would keep all of the fire and explosive pressure out of the tunnel. She glanced back to Jasper and Tristan. She wiped some sweat from her brow, and smiled at them both. "That worked out pretty fine didn't it? Except for the whole 'friend going up in blazing fire' thing." Kinzoku said easily.
Wolf on the Run 391 Posted June 26, 2014 (Like Yuffie said Kerosene out of the way and in the tunnel it cant explode besides tristan knew if both the kerosene and sanya went up in flames no matter how heat resistant the trap door was it would melt so to lower the chances of that Tristan dealt with the Kerosene) IC: Quickly standing up from the ground Tristan looked to Kinzoku as he also place his hand on the square plate "We all came on this mission knowing there was bound to be a number of us who wouldnt be returning alive now let me help you dealing with this so you can focus on holding the ingots plate strong I'll deal with absorbing the heat that funnels into it from above to help prevent the ingot from melting by the way i don't think i've properly introduced myself to any of you yet the names Tristan, Tristan Mahon i can control three specific magic's one is strengthening magic which i use to increase the damage i can pull off with my sword the extra damage depends on the amount of effort i put in but that magic damages my body when over used so i tend not to use it secondly i can manipulate and control fire in pretty much anyway i can think up that includes absorbing it of course i have my limits to what i absorb and if i absorb to much i have to release the extra energy into my sword and thirdly is a special magic i designed myself called Shadow Hunter I'll show you all what that one does another time for now lets continue to focus on this" looking back to the ingot plate Tristan waited to here the explosion above

Pretium 234 Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) "Ummmm, well.... I brought my quiver.. " Apollo pulled the strap off his shoulder and slung it off to the ground. "It has my bow and arrows.." He slumped casually to the ground next to it and crossed his legs. "Guess I just thought there would be some game around here."He eyed his quiver and remembered something and laid the quiver on his lap."Oh, and I brought this." His hand opened a hidden compartment at the bottom. And from it he drew disk-like object. It was jade in color, but the color wasn't even. It seemed to made of precious stone. Captain Arrowguns 466 Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) Jasper Jasper began running down the tunnel, but stopped when he didn't hear the others behind him. He turned around to see the others using their powers to try and secure the door. Between the shock of leaving an ally for dead and feeling helpless to protect himself or the others from the incoming fiery explosion, he forgot to take into account how the others could prevent the kerosene from even being lit in the tunnel. The hatch itself he knew had no chance of withstanding the explosion, but between Kinzuko fortifying it with her ingots, and Tristan being ready to deal with whatever fire made it through, Jasper felt they had a chance. He wasn't to fond of Tristan absorbing the fire, considering fire absorption got them into this mess, but as long as he could get rid of the energy without blowing up, he had no complaints. If there was one thing he hated though, it was that he couldn't think of any way to help his teammates. [Well, this better work.] he thought. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) (I would like to point out the fatalmflaw in Tristan's plan: one spark ismall that would be needed tonland on that kerosene. Remember that.) Sparks flying, Sanya grabbed embers and sucked them in as the trapdoor was put on. She grimaces. "I swear, if my underwear doesnt survive this, I am going to firetrucking kill that fireproofing mage." She relaxed, and then flared. She sucked it all in at once, then exploded upwards in a controlled yet chaotic eruption of fire. She was incinerated instantly, and a pile of ash was all that remained. But as fire was her element, it only took a minute at most for the ash to expand and forum a silhouette, then grow upwards until Sanya was lying there au natural. Sitting up as the smoke billowed, she went Hawk and began to move the air around to breathe. Retrieving her underwear and slightly charred but thankfully fireproof pants, she was mostly dressed now. Knowing Jasper was holding her bag, Sanya shook ash from her hair and collapsed onto her ass. She panted a bit, a bit air deprived and woozy from the ordeal. "Even incinerating myself doesn't work...people have it so easy, don't they?" She said bitterly, keeping the smoke around as much as possible to keep her hidden. Might as well let the Kamyn think they got one already. Sanya sat there. "I want some barbecque now..." Edited June 26, 2014 by Oathkeeper136
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted June 27, 2014 Cornelius eyed Sandrew for a moment. His first opinion of what to do was less then charitable. But the small voice in his mind convinced him that Sandrew still could prove useful. Cornelius looked away and sighed. "If someone could give Sandrew a hand." The Young Researcher said. "That way he can regain some strength as we go. And if someone could take the lead. I can't figure out how to proceed from here and control my scouts." NatronSpore 92 Posted June 27, 2014 "Leave it to me." Ferro said. Some plates detached from Chips and floated over to Sandrew, forming a platform for him to sit on. "Cornelius, if you could make some light to float ahead of us, that would be great. I don't want to stumble upon anything that I didn't see until I was on top of it." Ferro started walking into the labyrinth, holding Chips and Birgitte at the ready for any danger.

MDSVeritas 299 Posted June 27, 2014 Silver As the dark tunnel underneath the house became a little more illuminated as their adjusted, it became clear there wasn't much around the remaining members of Silver team besides the trap door above them and a small continuation of the tunnel leading to a large wooden gate. The trapdoor had luckily kept in one piece even after the explosion above was heard. Then another sound was heard, like a sort of locking mechanism that came from the trapdoor. "What's the phrase you people like use?" Adriev's voice echoed from the other side of the tunnel. "Out of the frying pan... and into the fire? It seems this is a step further you all have found yourself in. Out of the fire and into... well..." he motioned around the dark tunnel he and most of Silver team were in. "here." He knocked against the wooden gate on the other side of the darkened tunnel. "It looks old, but assure this gate is reinforced several times on the other side. That trapdoor? I made sure to give it the same treatment. Neither will open by anyone's hand but my own." He slowly walked towards Tristan, Kinzoku, and Jasper. "You came here because you're such moral warriors, here to fight the evil Kamyn, right? You humans are always so... black and white. You have no room to judge our actions. You just left your own comrade to die." Adriev now stood mere feet from the group. He picked up one of the jugs of kerosene and brought out a lit match, waving it around carelessly as he spoke. "Though I'm about to make you prove how humans will make the same kind of choices if they were in our situation." He dropped the kerosene and the match. As the kerosene spilled out, it only just missed the match, staying unlit. Adriev showed a projection of a few people in a small shack. "I'm sure these people are familiar to you. This is the Platinum team right? They seem weary, looking to get some resting in?" The projection disappeared and a small magical containing orb appeared in Adriev's hand. "This is the key to you leaving this tunnel. Channel any amount of magic in here, and both the trapdoor and gate behind me are unlocked." He dropped the orb at his feet and began walking away. "Oh, but it will also trigger a landslide just further up the mountain from Platinum team. So the question, dear humans, is do you wish to starve to death in this place, or do you trust your comrades to save themselves from your wrath?" He walked a little further, before he seemed to evaporate with a last few words. "Have fun." Iron As Emert prepared to climb the rocky remains of the golem and cliff, he may have noticed then the black tower that sat at the top. It was three stories tall, and looked ancient, but it may be a place to regroup and plan the next move.... not to mention what secrets may lie within. It was time to finish the climb and start the next step of their journey.
Wolf on the Run 391 Posted June 27, 2014 (just saying this now oathkeeper but a spark landing on the kerosene was one of the first things Tristan took into account hence the reason he told Kinzoku to not let any of the kerosene get on her as he trapped it down besides that Tristan dealt with any wondering sparks himself easily) Glaring in Adriev direction as he vanished Tristan turned towards the magical orb and then sat on the floor with his sword resting across his lap "Bluff humans can survive seven days and seven nights without eating and drinking i doubt the Platinum team would spend that long in some shake so all we need to do is hold on for two or three days down here by then we could near presume the Platinum team has moved onto a new location that is safe from the possible land slide" crossing his arms as he spoke Tristan noticed a slight scent in the air and gave a light smirk "(I know that scent i see so that's it)" smiling away to himself Tristan looked to the others "A few days of us being a little thirsty and hungry down here if the end results mean both our team and the platinum team can survive besides this is probably all a trap by the Kamyn there way to try and make each of the teams wipe each other out there starting to see us as a threat and this is there response to dealing with a threat use threat to whip itself out"
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted June 27, 2014 Cornelius didn't verbally answer Ferro, but a bright orb of light appeared over his head, providing illumination for those in front and behind him. Captain Arrowguns 466 Posted June 27, 2014 (edited) Jasper Before the image of the Platinum team vanished, he counted six. [so, they havn't suffered a loss yet. Good for them.] Jasper thought. He didn't like the sound the Kamyn's proposal, but Tristan had a point. And that wasn't all. "Sorry Kamyn, but that's not gonna happen, or at least not from me. There's three of us, and six of them. Risking their lives for our own would only hinder the mission. Besides, we'll probably all die here anyway, so we might as well make sure thos deaths have a point to them." Jasper said. He then eyed Kinzuko, wondering what she was thinking. She was the only one not to speek yet, and although she didn't seem like the selfish type, he knew he could be proven wrong. Amber "I... I'll take the lead." Amber said. She was far from a natural leader, but they had to keep moving, and no one was volunteering to lead. Amber faced the entrance to the labyrinth, took a deep breath, and walked inside, motioning for the others to follow. Wolf on the Run 391 Posted June 28, 2014 while sitting on the ground with his sword on his lap Tristan slowly and carefully began to re-examine everything Adriev had said when he appeared within the tunnel slowly Tristan began to think the possible conclusions over in his head "(alright so from the way Adriev put it we have a number of possible option one is to use the orb to escape now but that would result in possible causalities for team platinum so that plans a no go from my perspective after that option two would be to stick it out in here in the tunnel for three or four days wait till we can presume team platinum have left the cabin they are currently in but even then we can't no for sure if there gone or not and even then three or four days with out food in my training i lasted five days and could still just about use magic but i cant say whether or not the others could do the same they might be able but then again they may not be able and Adriev didnt specify on how much magic was needed to activate the orb it could be more then we actually think and if were to weak to use it we'll end up wasting away in this tunnel and that'll be the end of us threes option three as well but i wont count on that one for now i know that smell but if i'm wrong its not worth depending on so i guess that leaves us with option four)" Suddenly standing up Tristan drove his sword into the ground to have it standing by his side as he began to stretch "Hey Jasper Kinzoku I've been thinking over everything Adriev said and the way i see it those Kamyn arent as smart as they make themselves out to be Adriev said nobody but him would be able to open the door over there or the trapdoor but..." Grabbing the hilt of his sword Tristan moved towards one of the walls of the tunnel and began knocking on it with his fist "Way i see it we forget about that orb as a means to escape and make our own door Adriev said the door and trap door were reinforced he said nothing about the rock walls and to add to our advantage were not even that deep underground the gab between the cabins floor and the tunnels roof i made sure to check them before coming in here and from the looks of it the thickness of the roof cant be any more then 6 foot work of solid rock shouldn't be that hard to smash open if i use my strengthening magic" Placing his left hand on his right should Tristan sighed slightly "although i'd rather not use my strengthening magic do to the back lash it has on my body i see it as the best way for everyone to make it out of this thing alive for both our silver team and the platinum team but unless you two think its the right thing to do I'll try and think of something else"
