At four points around the mountain known as Evraius the Teragren captains went over the situation once more to be sure there was no confusion; this was a volunteer mission, there was a high risk of death, and once the climbers passed the Teragen gates onto the premises of Evraius they were no longer under the protection of the Teragren army, and nobody would help but the rest of their team members.Of the 19 volunteers that passed the test to be accepted into the Evraius mission there were now four teams, each of 4 or 5 people. The army had brought them to the four gates that separated Evraius from the Kingdom of Teragren. The strategy was that they may be more effective if they could split the Kamyn attention and thus have a better survival rate. Now the four teams sat at their respective gates, facing the world changing mountain that would be their future; Evraius. The teams were split up in the following ways:Gold Team, made up of Drale Vay, Amber Dolor, Cornelius Bastion, and Sandrew.Silver Team, made up of Sonya Bishop, Kinzoku Mors, Averain, and Jasper SummersIron Team, made up of Alice Thornsberry, Emert Berger, Morgan Etiam Vinctum, and Doctor Pellinore WartropPlatinum Team, made up of Apollo, Lance Alburght, Varion Hain, Fairy, Aya Kozakura, Sairi KozakuraEach of the gates rumbled opened painfully and slowly, with a history of destruction and cruelty beyond their metal bars."Okay." Each captain spoke to the respective teams as they mounted their horses once again and steered back toward the road."You all have 5 minutes to greet your new teammates and enter the gates. The magical locks will automatically close them again after that point. There won't be any returning until you have something substantial to return with." The gist of each captain's parting words were. They had all rehearsed together so the information would be similar for each group. It also helped mask the fear.And then each group was left alone, each with a gate and a beaten dirt path beyond it sitting before them. It was time to start the introductions and get going.It was time to start the climb.Watching every gate through spectral projections, Adriev pondered. He stood in a pure white room with 5 others. After watching the four teams for a few moments he turned to his peers: Efenton, Girver, Dante, and Vortimer. Only one was missing."So..." He spoke slowly, weighing every word. Now, Sanya was no Kamyn. She was Sanya. and she had been closer to the tower ro keep the debris falling faster.

She didn't know who this being was, so she pulled off a split-s going upwards, avoiding the hand...but while her mind was guarded, the mental spear was too much. She let out a strangled cry and fell to the ground. Her body slammed into the rocks and then fell into a stand of trees.

The final impact snapped her neck. She laid there for a total of two seconds before bursting to flames and becoming nought but ash.

Iron

"Knock knock..."

 

His pale eyes only contrasted with his crimson eyes as the man who had crashed into the tower looked across the ruins of rocks and bricks at the group below. He looked over to see the girl who had become ash. Then there was the one who had summoned the strange creatures. These weren't the people he was used to on this mountain.

 

"Looks like I came in too fast..." He laughed to himself as he looked over the ruins of his tower. This was the place he had considered his home after the others stated he was no longer welcome at the mountain's peak. The moment he felt the presence of others near his home tower, he rushed back from the other side of the world where he was presently engaged in destroying a merchant city for no real reason.

 

This was the Exile Kamyn. The one shunned by the others. Too taken by his own madness to be of any true use. Vaefrius. Now he was going to be a complication on both sides.

 

"You!" He called down to Iron team. "What are ya doing at my home you pigs? You think you can waltz right and up take someone else's home for your own?" He raised his fist....

 

Vaefrius was a master of momentum. Any force he could slow or speed up at will. A coin could be given the force of a thousand boulders, and a bullet could be a feather.

 

"You people have no respect for property! That makes me so angry!" He smashed his hand into the ground, obliterating the rest of his tower, and killing all the trees in the area in an instant as he formed a crater around himself, just him, Sanya, and the Iron team.

 

"Three seconds." He started walking towards Iron team, then running, then moving at a speed no human could.

 

"Three seconds to give me an excuse I like before I pound you all into dust!"

 

Kamyn

Adriev grimaced. He hadn't expected Vaefrius to come back. He turned to his peers.

 

"I find your answers agreeable enough. Now we face another issue. Vaefrius has returned. He will almost certainly kill their Iron team, but we must end his life before he becomes a bother on any of our other plans. Which of you all wish to go oversee his fight? We can until he finishes off their Iron team and then combine our strength to end him. So who wishes to fight today?"

 

Platinum

The landslide slowed due to the smaller bounders, but there was still the need to stop the smaller and still fast-moving rocks rushing towards them that threatened to break the wall is one final force didn't fully end their momentum. They would have the move fast too, the main group of them were bearing down on Platinum team and the remains of that shack that instant....

 

Silver

a voice that seem to come from everywhere in the room spoke out to Tristan.

 

"State name and credentials for admittance into the records room."

Hearing a voice ring out through out the room Tristan began to scan the room to see if he could find the source but failed to do so, so deciding quickly Tristan began to answer the voices question "My name is Tristan, Tristan Mahon by right people know me as a mercenary but i have a feeling saying that's what I am wont go in here considering it's not true so lets start this again my name is Tristan, Tristan Mahon and i am a Guardian i was trained by my father to reach a power level high enough to be able to face and defeat a Kamyn so i might put an end to there tyrant like rule over the world that is the role of a Guardian that is my role and i intent to fulfill it" 

Cathos grimaced. He had missed with the hand and spear. That Kamyn had moved too quickly. With the falling rubble taken care of, the tentacles retracted into the purple energy at their bases and disappeared. The hand did the same, and as the platform under Catho's feet began to disappear, he made a step and was suddenly in the crater, off to one side. In his mind he formed a wall of thought and thrust it at the Kamyn. Such a wall may not be physical, but it was just as effective as anything physical, perhaps more so. He did this even as a real wall, made of that grey substance, appeared and hardened to stone-like consistency.

 

(MDS, can you make something happen in the labyrinth?)

(Sorry about that. Seems that Schemer has been busy so he may not have the time to work on anything for Gold like we were planning. If there's nothing from him by tonight I'll start taking over to give you guys stuff to do)

Jasper

Jasper expected Kinzuko to fight back, or come up with some half baked excuse on why she endangered six other lives, or perhaps a monologue revealing her true evil colors. What he didn't expect was for Kinzuko to curl into a ball and break into tears. As she began to move, Jasper reluctantly moved Silver Serpent away from her neck, and when she began to explain why she did what she did, it actually made sense. After all, she did seem pretty different shortly before she sent magic into the orb. So, he unsummoned his weapon and held out his hand to Kinzuko to help her up. "All right, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I believe you. There's no way Tristan and I are gonna make it through here alive on our own, and I'm not sure we'd be able to find any of the other groups even if we tried, which means we need your help. Ready to keep going?" he asked.

In an instant,Vortimer disappear without a trace,since it was an illusion created by him,as a remark that he would take Adriev's request by defeating Veafrius.The real Vortimer was on that area right now,appearing so suddenly in front of the Iron Team,where Vaefrius charges towards them."I can give you one reason...."Vortimer said as he take out his Saber from his right waist and create a big slash of wind,pushing him back with a strong force.

 

"Annihilating you was the order of the Kamyns..."Vortimer said as he vow to defeat him...

"Vaefrius?  Heh.  Haven't seen or heard of him since the day he was kicked out.  He was always a troublesome sort.  His return could be problematic if left uncheck.  What's your take on this Vortimer?"  Turning to where Vortimer would be, Griver sees that he was gone.  Crossing his arms, he says:  "It appears someone has already gone to deal with our former comrade.  If he's not able to finish the job, I'll be more than happy to."

(Hm...whom to toy with first?) Dante thought for a moment. Rather than just making the lights vanish again, Dante formed a shadow near each bat, and in an instant, impaled them through, and swallowed them. The cave remained pitch black and silent. With a small bit of light near the group. Right ahead of Sandrew, the darkness shot out but instead branched toward impaling Ferro.

Simultaneously, the darkness around them reached out and covered the group's bodies. While harmless, the shadow itself could not have been seen past--nor smelled past, heard past,...Their senses were gone.

Morgan once again stood in the back lines of the action. She appeared prepared to actually take action this time around, but she had yet to show any care to the events transpiring in and out of the group. It seemed concerning, of what she'd hope to achieve out of the mission at all.

When her presence seemed completely unexpected, she awaited the Kamyn as he sped towards them. She was ready to speak--ready to try and avoid conflict yet again. That, however, was ruined by an ally once more. She shot a menacing glare, from right beside Cathos, into his eyes.

standing around the white room rather confused Tristan sat down with his sword on his lap as he began to think "(Hum strange i thought this was going to be another trap by the Kamyn hence my reason for coming in alone and after hearing that voice i was near sure after announcing my presence and real reason for being here the Kamyn would surely react there's no way they would stand leisurely by when there's someone on this mountain who was specifically raised and trained to beat them is there)" looking down at his sword Tristan sat in wonder waiting and waiting patiently for some form of reaction from the large white room

"I've lost my scouts." Cornelius warned. "I have their routes memorized and can discount a few passages, but-"

The Young Research was cut off as the darkness enveloped him. His first reaction was anger. Was this all the Kamyn had? Infantile tricks? He had expected more.

He created a hard light field between himself and the darkness, expanding it to push the darkness back. He would have rather pushed it off forcefully, but he had allies and still needed them. A part of him wondered if he should try to contact the others.

"No." He thought. "That has to wait."

Sandrew ghasped. "This is gonna stink...!" He thought. "I'm not gonna be able to do anything else today..." He thought, activating his light-based transformation. The entire area around him glowed softly with a greyish-white light and his skin turned to the same color. His eyes, however, we're violet, other than that, he was relatively the same Sandrew. Just enough light left to dispell the darkness around them. He started glowing slightly greenish yellow, almost like a glowstick.

Ferro~~~~~

 

Ferro saw the shifting in the darkness ahead of him just before he was blinded. "Aah! What the sh*t?!" "Look out!" yelled Chips, and suddenly a huge blast of white fire exploded from the shield. The spear of darkness whizzing toward Ferro was instantly destroyed, and the shadows clinging to him were torn apart. Ferro was almost knocked off his feet. "Give me warning before you do that!" he yelled. "You should be nicer than that, considering he just saved your life!" Birgitte sniffed. "We're always overlooked!" cackled Vell. "Kinda nice sometimes, though." "There's no time to stand here talking! Let's move!" Ferro commanded as he took off at a run, barely pausing to slash the clinging shadows off Amber. Sandrew's platform moved to keep up. "Cornelius, which way?!"

Sanya sat up, rubbing her forehead. Retrieving her meager clothes again, the girl began to stumble down the foresty slope, hopefully to reunite with her team. But a loud roar froze her.

Carefully looking around, a massive tiger, pure white with black stripes, crouched near her. She did not move as it circled, letting it observe her.

It stopped right in front of her, amber eyes piercing her own.

It leapt and pinned her to the ground, teeth inches from her face. Her hands gently laid on it's neck.

"I am Sanya, Witch of Procyon. Calm, King of the Jungle, and lend me your power."

The tiger calmed. looking her in the eye, it looked...downright tame now. As it licked her face, it's claws receded.

"Let's begin the bonding process." She whispered. "Try to not be like the regular cat and scratch the hell out of me."

 

She hated bonding at times. The more feral animals tended to get carried away when she wasn't calming them, as the feeling of the bonding magic would sometimes make them a bit...angry.

And damn, would this tiger hurt if he went angry.

The voice faded as a strange whirring sound grew lousing around the room. Then in a moment three large machanical spider-like beings materialized around Tristan, and in a moment some sort of red magic beam shot from each of their heads towards him, blazing in his direction at a blistering speed. Immediatly after they leaped towards him.

 

It would take all the Silver members that remained if these were to be defeated...

 

Iron

"Vortimer..." Vaefrius grimaced. "Come down from your master, lap dog? Well alright then. I'll take out all you intruders together."

 

He smashed his fist into the ground, and a perfect sphere of rock erupted up in front of him. With a minor flick he sent it barreling towards Vortimer. As it flew he began smashing his fists into the ground, and more spheres leapt from the earth. With several punches, Emert, Alice, Morgan, and the Doctor all had very real threats heading towards them...

 

And that was before he picked up the upper half of the tower that remained next to him...

Silver

"Identification not recognized. Goodbye."

To protect himself from the attack,Vortimer have no choice but to cut slightly on his palms with his Saber in order to perform his power as the blood from his palm drop at his blade,glowing with power so suddenly."Cruel blade...Transient dreams....Illusionary revenge!" Vortimer shouted as he began cutting the sphere one by one,and the pieces of those rocks were suddenly turn into dust,due to his magic of illusions and reality.

 

"Mirage Strike!"As Vaefrius was trying to picked up the half of the tower,Vortimer managed to creat a big slash from his Saber towards the upper tower that suddenly turns into a shards of ice...

Seeing the three large mechanical like spiders appear Tristan instantly began to think he should of announced himself as a Kamyn. Just then Tristan noticed the beams the spiders had fired towards him and the fact they were now rushing towards him "Crap!" quickly jumping to his feet with his sword at the ready Tristan ran towards one of the spiders. Just as Tristan would of clashed with the magical beam he dropped backwards and began to slide forwards towards the spider in front of him "Bad choice of a trap Kamyn a spiders weak point mechanical or not is an easy thing to spot cut off there weak and narrow legs and its an instant immobilization for them" sliding under the spiders body Tristan swung his sword aiming at the two back legs of the spider he was under 

Cathos~~~~~

 

Cathos frowned in frustration when his attacks failed to phase Vaefrius. Then he noticed the sphere of stone hurtling towards him. He quickly built a wall of thought in his mind. The sphere impacted him directly in the chest. . . and shattered as if running into a mountain. Cathos smiled inwardly at the power of the mind, then began assembling a trap for Vaefrius. The Kamyn seemed to have gone slightly mad, which would weaken his resistance to mental attacks. Cathos planned to channel the strength of Vaefrius's body to crush his own mind. A trap like that would take time though. Maintaining his mental wall, he worked.

Sanya awoke pressed into the tiger's fur. She started to pull away when she heard purring. The tiger was...purring.

Standing up, she fixed her clothes. Sleeping for the few minutes against the tiger had...lets just say sleeping in the wild against an animal made clothes dig into places. Now comfortable, rabbit ears sprouted, along with a tail. She was off in a flash, after rubbing the tiger's head affectionately. She approached the sounds of battle, and as she stopped...there. the Kamyn were fighting another team. She relaxed and switched to Tiger form.

The spheres of rock stopped before hitting anyone else and was thrown back at the Kamyn. With a leap Sanya landed in front of Iron team.

"Guess you all could use help. Who is this guy?" She asked.

Iron

Vaefrius scowled as the ice shards tore into him, and hurled his makeshift weapon of the upper tower towards Vortimer.

 

"You bastard! This is my part of the mountain! You fools know nothing!" He then leaped in the air and dove downward towards the Iron team behind Vortimer, specifically aiming for the Doctor and Emert, and punched the ground next to them, hoping they wouldn't avoid it fast enough and the shock would enough to kill them instantly given how close they were. He had to end it now, before Adriev got involved.

 

Kamyn

Adriev was still grimacing.

 

"Griver. Go to assist. We must stop Vaefrius now. If he gets too desperate... he will try to level the entire mountain. That. Cannot. Happen. You and Vortimer must finish him, then either face Iron team or report back, it matters not."

 

At the same time, though Adriev looked down at the projection from team Gold. Dante was toying with them, but Adriev was already thinking ahead. That Sandrew was a fickle-looking kid and didn't want to be there. There could be much use for him very soon...

 

Platinum

As the rest of the landslide moved past them, Platinum team got a chance to rest for but a moment. Soon a projection appeared in front of them, showing what had transpired with Silver team; the orb that would cause a landslide explained by Adriev, and Kinzoku activating the orb, and causing the landslide they had only just survived.

 

Afterward it disappeared and in it's place Platinum team was shown the next step in their journey: the landslide had uncovered an underground passageway entrance not far ahead of the shack. It was a metallic white door, and only by approaching it would the figure out what lay within...

 

Silver

The spider that was attacked fell over with the clumsiness that came with a lack of two back legs. The beam from it's head started firing all directions, but the spider was slowly slowing down.

 

The other two went fully hostile at that point, leaping directly onto Tristan and trying to fix their aim on his head before firing...

seeing the two beams coming towards his head an annoyed looked filled Tristan's face as he looked to the side slightly "Why is it always the head" quickly dropping down like a dead weight Tristan avoided the beams fired by the two spiders looking towards the third spider that now had its laser going berserk due to its lose of balance "dammit all if that thing wasn't going so wild i'd jump behind it and use its laser to hit the other two spiders but with those mad movements one wrong move and i could end up getting sliced by that thing and i dont want to slice the legs off the other two spiders if i do that then i'll have three out of control lasers to dodge ya i think i'll pass on something like that honestly" Slowly looking around the room Tristan remembered "Hey wait a second this entire room is under ground so if i smash the roof....no i cant do that there's some secret to this room so maybe this instead" Suddenly roaring out "Room i request to state my credentials and admittance into the record room my name is (Lets hope this works) Adriev one of the Kamyn now reveal to me your secrets and shut off these god damn spiders!!!"
