At four points around the mountain known as Evraius the Teragren captains went over the situation once more to be sure there was no confusion; this was a volunteer mission, there was a high risk of death, and once the climbers passed the Teragen gates onto the premises of Evraius they were no longer under the protection of the Teragren army, and nobody would help but the rest of their team members.Of the 19 volunteers that passed the test to be accepted into the Evraius mission there were now four teams, each of 4 or 5 people. The army had brought them to the four gates that separated Evraius from the Kingdom of Teragren. The strategy was that they may be more effective if they could split the Kamyn attention and thus have a better survival rate. Now the four teams sat at their respective gates, facing the world changing mountain that would be their future; Evraius. The teams were split up in the following ways:Gold Team, made up of Drale Vay, Amber Dolor, Cornelius Bastion, and Sandrew.Silver Team, made up of Sonya Bishop, Kinzoku Mors, Averain, and Jasper SummersIron Team, made up of Alice Thornsberry, Emert Berger, Morgan Etiam Vinctum, and Doctor Pellinore WartropPlatinum Team, made up of Apollo, Lance Alburght, Varion Hain, Fairy, Aya Kozakura, Sairi KozakuraEach of the gates rumbled opened painfully and slowly, with a history of destruction and cruelty beyond their metal bars."Okay." Each captain spoke to the respective teams as they mounted their horses once again and steered back toward the road."You all have 5 minutes to greet your new teammates and enter the gates. The magical locks will automatically close them again after that point. There won't be any returning until you have something substantial to return with." The gist of each captain's parting words were. They had all rehearsed together so the information would be similar for each group. It also helped mask the fear.And then each group was left alone, each with a gate and a beaten dirt path beyond it sitting before them. It was time to start the introductions and get going.It was time to start the climb.Watching every gate through spectral projections, Adriev pondered. He stood in a pure white room with 5 others. After watching the four teams for a few moments he turned to his peers: Efenton, Girver, Dante, and Vortimer. Only one was missing."So..." He spoke slowly, weighing every word. "What shall we do about this?"

Ryu sighed. It seemed as if the other three were just watching and waiting for their turn. "You still don't understand the depth of my power do you?" Ryu said. Without looking up or turning his back, he let out one huge vibration wave extending far beyond his position, destroying the illusions and blowing Duke back because of the force it carried. "Anymore games before I get sort of serious?" Ryu asked the fellow Kaymn.

"You have one unfinishing game right in front of you..." Duke said it again as he and his illusions still appear before him."As the moon have become full,the illusions will become real for all eternity. No matter how strong your power is,even if it can destroy this world,my illusions will not waver!! as long as the moon is still around!!"Duke said as he roared again for a third time."Now,feel the wrath of the Raging Form!!" Duke said as it's palm were glowing with power along with his illusions as well and begin to charged up it's power for an unknown calamity...

Varion:

"Mm? Water? I can do that, I guess." Varion said, slamming his palms back together. Pulling the moisture out of the air was hard and long work. It required a lot of moisture in order to get any amount of water that could actually be useful. He sat down, trying to concentrate on the task.

"Well we better figure out this soon." He said, "Because i get the feeling the Kaymn aren't ones to wait on us mortals."

 

Emert:

Emert stood back up, checking on his armor and gear before sheathing his swords.

 

A hall full of the dead. A long table with long-dead skeletons sitting in the ancient seats. What truly caught the Judge's eye was the prominent skeleton--the one with the faded gold armor while clucthing a mysterious orb. Something told him grabbing that orb would be useful, but likely dangerous. He had heard enough tales about adventurers who took a treasure like that only to watch as the dead reanimate themselves.

 

"We must be careful for this one." Emert murmured, "We have no time to mourn...the Kaymn want us to move on. And it is clear they are not patient ones."

Ferro~~~~~

 

"Sandrew, get close to me and the others!" Ferro yelled. He had felt when his artifacts had returned to him, and hoped the temporary loss of them had not damaged their personalities. White metal plates came off Chips, floating to form a box around the whole group. The metal plates were almost entirely immune to heat, and would easily survive the lasers unscathed. Ferro left a slit at the top so he could see when the lasers when the lasers passed. Vell cackled. "Too easy!" Ferro rolled his eyes; at least someone had survived intact.

 

Cathos~~~~~

 

Cathos strode into the room after Emert, looking around with interest. No flesh left to determine how they had died. Cathos sent his mind questing for any remnants of the dead people's psyches. Not surprisingly, he found nothing from bodies so long dead. He kept his mind away from the orb; who knew what it might do to a probing intelligence.

The illusions annoyed Ryu as he grew impatient. "Fine. Since you want to play such a game, I will show you," Ryu said. Suddenly, the vibrations around him grew with more intensity. The soundwaves and force the vibrations brought increased. "Sonic Disruption Field," Ryu said. The illusions disappeared as the mana used to conjure them split apart and dissolved. The waves only continued and extended up to about twenty feet around Ryu. "You magic is obsolete to me," Ryu said. He felt Duke charging up for something that seemed big. His vibrations did not waver. They only grew. "You will soon understand the complexities of vibrations itself," Ryu declared.

Cornelius cried out in pain and ripped to his knees. Why the hell had he done the noble thing? All that mattered was the plan. If only she...

"Dont worry about that..." Sandrew had accessed his metal form, he was now silver, brown, and gold for his skin, his hair looked like bronze and his eyes were rust-brown. "Just rest yourself, Cornelius." Sandrew muttered, with great strain in his voice, as he began to rase a metal dome around them as well, but with panels that looked very reflective, pointing the reflective edges at the other statues to hopfully destroy them, then he reverted back to normal to try and conserve his energy.. "T-that should redirect the lasers back at the statues, and even if it dosen't, it should serve as a effective shield against them for a while so Ferro's armor dosent weaken too much..."

"So much for getting answers."  Griver remarked with disappointment.  Before making a move, he looked around in his current position.  He quickly looks down at a large boulder at the ground.  Flicking his left hand, Griver lifts the boulder up and throws it at Ryu.

crossing his arms and looking to the group around him Tristan nodded "Alright if we're going to go through with my suggested plan as our next move then the next thing to pick out the fastest members of the group the faster we move through that door the better since for this plan more speed means a higher chance of success" Looking down to Aya who was out cold and being healed by Fairy Tristan continued "With Aya out that means we still have three more who need to knocked out i did suggest myself first time around but now considering speed is the key factor in this plan i think i would be wiser for me to remain conscious since I'm pretty confident in my agility something i depend on greatly considering i'm a swordsmen taking something like that into consideration anyone else who fights with speed over power those people would be the best to keep conscious so we can move through the doorway fast so who here is confident in there speed and i dont mean self proclaimed you need to be actually fast have someone on your team vouch for your speed"

Ryu hadn't noticed the incoming threat. In fact, he had sensed it too late. However, the vibration field chipped away at the giant boulder until it was but dust. His Sonic Disruptor Field not only disrupted enemy mana and magic within its vicinity, but also pressurized the air through vibrations to destroy incoming threats. Ryu turned to Griver for a second. "Seems like you're not one to talk either," Ryu shouted out to Griver. "Come. I'll show you a little hell," Ryu shouted. The pressurization from the vibrations caused friction in the air near the edge of the vibration field. Thus letting loose bolts of lightning at his enemies.

Holding his chin, Griver thought:  Hm.  I'll give Ryu this; he is something.  This could be a little difficult.  Going to need to conjure a solid plan.  Hearing Ryu, Griver responds:  "Oh I did try to talk with you, regarding your actions.  But you didn't listen to me.  Besides, even if I were to repeat myself, I feel as though you won't give me a full answer."  Done with that, Griver sees lightning coming towards him.  Snapping his fingers, he sets up a dark yellow barrier, shielding himself and his allies from the attack.

Cornelius stopped trying to drag Amber and Drale, looking around at Sandrew's metal dome.

"Don't over do it, man." He said, concern in his voice. "The sooner we get out of here, the less we have to worry about the lasers, huh?"

"I agree with Cornelius. You really shouldn't over do it. Although I do like your idea." Drale said to Sandrew, after being dragged by Cornelius. "I dread what comes next however. I doubt it'll be anything good."

"You only know so little," Ryu said. The blast was caught up in heavier vibrations as the mana used to execute the attack were disrupted and split apart like atoms. "Birsingr the Accursed, god of Knowledge and Wisdom. That is my name in the human world. My knowledge surpasses you Kaymn, obviously. Vibrations cannot be transmuted into an element if it was not an element in the first place," Ryu explained. "Your powers are obsolete. My powers can defy even your mighty powers, Griver," Ryu said. "You see, this whole time, I've been playing with you all to see if anyone would notice the full extent of my powers. However, even with full use of my vibrations, I'll only be fighting at 50%," Ryu explained. He knew the other Kaymn had no idea of what he was talking about. "The full extent of my power lies beyond the gods themselves but require so much to activate. Whatever the case, I will fight at my full 50%," Ryu concluded. 

"Everything has a vibration. The skill to manipulate a vibration lies in a person's resolve. My resolve... is to defeat you all," Ryu said. The vibrations around Ryu ceased. "Seismic Devastation!" Ryu shouted. The area around him and the other Kaymn started vibrating heavily. The air around them shifted as multiple rips in the air opened behind the group. "Each atom gains its vibration. With enough vibrations, it can greatly affect a person's nervous system because of the pressure and force. However, I am dealing with Kaymn so the most you all have is slowed movement and negation of magic. Oh, one more thing. The vibrations created multiple dimensional fissures. One could easily be sucked into one and appear in another dimension," Ryu shouted. He was of no exception. However, he suspended himself in the air with vibrations. It was a very difficult 2-step technique, but he kept his concentration. Ryu sat down, cris-cross, and closed his eyes, thus heightening his focus.

The Doctor walked into the room. Skeletons. Lovely. He had no fear of dead things, nor was he disgusted by them. Such a condition in his line of work would be absolutely cataclysmic to his effectiveness. But the scientist felt a slight aura of foreboding from the room, specifically from the one with gold armor. He held a magic orb. There did not appear to be any other way to escape the area, leaving the only choice to activate the orb. "Shall I?" The Doctor asked, gesturing to the orb.

Kinzoku pondered the situation. Then, reaching a conclusion in her mind, she levitated some ingots out of her bag, and manipulated them into stretcher shapes. "No need to exert your strength Tristan, I can carry them all. I just want to note though, if the Kamyn are insistent upon us going through their trial, and I assume they are watching us, I doubt they'll let your plan work, possibly even punishing us all directly." Kinzoku said.

"You fool Ryu...." Adriev was getting angry. He didn't want to have to get involved himself...

 

Iron

On the walls of the room huge tapestries were hung. They showed beings of light upon a mountain, shining down on indiscriminate people on the ground below. Holy flames from the mountain peak burning the unrighteous, and other intriguing images.

 

Why would these people have lived within Evraius? Why were they here and why did they die?

 

Perhaps the answers lay in the recording orb, which could transmit and retain recorded speech from humans... perhaps the truth lay there...

 

Gold

Sandrew's dome reflected all the lasers, and they shot around the room, before eventually all destroying their origin points, leaving silence and the smell of burning throughout.

 

"Good good. See how useful you are Sandrew, Ferro. Imagine how much more powerful you could be without this dead weight." Adriev's voice was sinister.

 

"Now let's see when that dead weight turns against you, or more specifically, their powers do..."

 

A shadow appeared on the wall. It shifted around, morphing and changing, then finally it's hand reached out, moving off the wall and into coporeal form. Then it's leg, then it's other arm. Soon a humanoid shadow being stood before the group. In a moment it's hand extended into a shadow blade, black flames began to lick off it's other hand. It fired dark flame in a huge spurt towards Ferro, and charged the group of three lying on the ground, leaping into the air and stabbing towards Cornelius....

 

Silver/Platinum

Adriev watched the group without a word... They were planning, conceptualizing. This was unexpected. Was he... wrong?

looking to Kinzoku with a rather confident grin Tristan spoke "Owe i have no doubt the Kamyn's are watching us Kinzoku but think of things like this the Kamyn's see themselves as God's and compared to them they see us as nothing more then mindless insects who never think and plan deeply into things thats just how Kamyn's are so the first and one of the best ways to beat a Kamyn is when they decide to set some form of trail is to calmly and carefully exam there trail and come up with the best way to approach it as for the punishment part of your reasoning" Crossing his arms Tristan rolled his eyes "we already entered the Kamyn's mountain and for that they dont plan on letting any of us leave this mountain alive as is if they already plan on killing us how could them punishing be any different to what they already have planned besides I wouldn't mind running into a Kamyn as is my swords starting to get thirsty for a Kamyn's blood so then that aside who are our three remaining pass outs going to be"

The metal plates floating around the room snapped together in front of the charging shadow, stopping its assault, then smashed into the monster, hurling it into the air and away from the rest of the group. This happened even as Ferro brought up Chips to block the dark flames. But he was not fast enough to do both at once. The dark fire hit Chips, most of it deflected away harmlessly. The rest hit Ferro in the chest, knocking him back and to the ground. He got up on one knee. "Ghg. . . That hurt. But it didn't hurt enough." he said as he pulled himself to his feet.

Cathos reached out with his mind and activated the recording orb. It seemed it was what the Kamyn wanted, and Cathos considered himself reasonably prepared for anything that might happen.

For a moment, it looked like Cornelius was going to face the creature head on, his face set in a determined grimace. Whatever he had planned next, it was interrupted by Ferro's wall. The Young Researcher then looked startled, like he had been caught doing something he shouldn't. Momentarily out of danger, he scrabbled towards Ferro to help when Sandrew shifted again and attacked the creature.

"Sandrew!" He called out.

"Can he survive this kind of exertion?" He thought. "I can't just let him risk his life like that. But..the plan."

Cornelius stood conflicted for only a slit second.

"Sorry, Cornelius." He muttered.

Furrowing his brow, the young man let lose a bolt of psy energy that hit the enemy creature, which would either cause pain and disorientation to it or whoever was controlling it.

Varion:

"If we can somehow pull everyone through, then let's try it. Maybe going out all at once? So that way no one is left behind. I don't know if the Kamyn have something else cooked up so that if there's more than five people it'll do something, but we've gotta try." Varion said, glancing around quickly. The Kaymn were watching and waiting. He could almost feel them breathing down his neck--waiting for the two teams to come to a decision.

"We don't have much time...

 

Emert:

Emert walked further into the room, eying the decayed and dusty skeletons. He briefly wondered who they were, and how they lived on this mountain. They had to be at least several centuries old. Emert heard of the tales, and knew that the Kamyn's attacks went back hundreds of years. If there were an humans on this mountain, they had to be here before the Kamyn made their home here, or when the Kamyn weren't so aggressive.

"Be careful when you touch that sphere.....this could easily be a trap...." Emert said, grasping the handle of his swords.

(*throws a desk* I'm on it, I'm on it.) Aya began to wake from her being unconscious. Sairi turned to his sister and smiled, then looking up at Fairy."That is enough healing for now, I can carry my own sister, we don't have a lot of time, we need to get out of here all together." Sairi said seriously.Aya was silent, staring at Varion and the other people who she tried to attack.
