At four points around the mountain known as Evraius the Teragren captains went over the situation once more to be sure there was no confusion; this was a volunteer mission, there was a high risk of death, and once the climbers passed the Teragen gates onto the premises of Evraius they were no longer under the protection of the Teragren army, and nobody would help but the rest of their team members.Of the 19 volunteers that passed the test to be accepted into the Evraius mission there were now four teams, each of 4 or 5 people. The army had brought them to the four gates that separated Evraius from the Kingdom of Teragren. The strategy was that they may be more effective if they could split the Kamyn attention and thus have a better survival rate. Now the four teams sat at their respective gates, facing the world changing mountain that would be their future; Evraius. The teams were split up in the following ways:Gold Team, made up of Drale Vay, Amber Dolor, Cornelius Bastion, and Sandrew.Silver Team, made up of Sonya Bishop, Kinzoku Mors, Averain, and Jasper SummersIron Team, made up of Alice Thornsberry, Emert Berger, Morgan Etiam Vinctum, and Doctor Pellinore WartropPlatinum Team, made up of Apollo, Lance Alburght, Varion Hain, Fairy, Aya Kozakura, Sairi KozakuraEach of the gates rumbled opened painfully and slowly, with a history of destruction and cruelty beyond their metal bars."Okay." Each captain spoke to the respective teams as they mounted their horses once again and steered back toward the road."You all have 5 minutes to greet your new teammates and enter the gates. The magical locks will automatically close them again after that point. There won't be any returning until you have something substantial to return with." The gist of each captain's parting words were. They had all rehearsed together so the information would be similar for each group. It also helped mask the fear.And then each group was left alone, each with a gate and a beaten dirt path beyond it sitting before them. It was time to start the introductions and get going.It was time to start the climb.Watching every gate through spectral projections, Adriev pondered. He stood in a pure white room with 5 others. After watching the four teams for a few moments he turned to his peers: Efenton, Girver, Dante, and Vortimer. Only one was missing."So..." He spoke slowly, weighing every word. "What shall we do about this?"

"Yes..." Efenton said, looking at the man, he decided to help him up, walking over to him.

"All the people here, except for me, came here willingly to help the world as best they could. I didn't want to come here, not because I didn't want to help, but because I'm only a weak little kid who's s afraid of his own shadow..." He began, struggling to sit up, being pretty drained still. "B-But I had a chance to leave, I had a chance to get out by trusting your dad, but... I couldn't do that to these people. I stayed so I could help in whatever way I could, even if I ended up dead..." He coughed again. "I think our actions show a lot for you, but it might not be enough, so if I may tell you, each of these people..." He motioned with his head to Cornelius, Ferro, Drale, and Amber. "...have goodness in them. In the short time I've known them, they did what they could to help keep me alive and everyone else as well in this group. We all have our querk's, but what all of them have in common is that feeling of wanting to keep everyone safe. If any of us become dangerous, no matter what, they're the kind of people to risk it all to save everyone else. Drale was willing to give his life up to save the rest of us, Ferro has taken some of the greatest dangers in being the guy who gets up close and personal with enemies, same for Amber, same for Cornelius. I think, at least in our little group, that we are the good people that need this information. If it comes down to it, with that power, we can make sure that no one ever has to fight again. We're willing to do what's nessicary to save others. I'm afraid. By the darndest, I'm so afraid..." He took a breath. "...but I have to be brave. My mom was brave when she saved me. My dad was brave when he was killed fighting because his contract called him to it. So I'll be brave. And even if I'm too weak on my own..." He looked over to Ferro and Cornelius. "I know there are people who can pick up my slack..."

He looked at him, and a small tear could be seen dripping down his face, hidden by his hat. He walked back to the button. "I..." His hand gravitated over the button. "I do not know..." He looked at him. "If I can trust all of you..." He looked at the bodies. "But... If you are to... Face him... You must rest.. You are in no shape to challenge my father..."

"T-Thank you..." Sandrew coughed a bit again, sitting all the way up now, he crossed his legs. Pulling out his harmonica, he began a small, quiet song on it, blowing lightly but forcefully enough to produce a gentle sound, it made the area feel cleaned of the struggles and hardships recently faced in hopes of helping everyone start to calm down.

Rai was running through the tunnels, Zero before him parting the earth. Serafine and Aryel flew beside him, cleaning and cauterizing the wound.

"But why can't we..."

"We don't have that trick! None of us are healers and the spear was sharp. It got her spine. We're not to the level of a Kamyn, we haven't had enough time to acclimate." Rai held his master. "One of the other teams had a healer. She can help with the internal spinal damage."

They stoped. Zero looked up, and the floor rose as the ceiling parted.

"Aryel. Serafine will....wait, Serafine! Your tears!"

I can heal many wounds, cure many remedies. But this, I fear, is too deep.

 

Cursing, the ground broke. Gold, Silver, and Platinum now before them. Zero roared for attention, the armored Liger prowler around Rai and Sanya. Aryel the flying magical mermaid moved up.

"Is anyone a healer? Or have something to mix with phoenix tears!" She called out, both hopeful and fearful.

 

Hopefully they hadn't gotten the memo of Sanya's ascension. She needed to be healed now, before it was too late.

Serafine needed her alive.

Ferro~~~~~

 

Ferro tilted his head to the right slightly as Sandrew began playing his harmonica. The boy was brave, and humble. "You left out all you yourself did." Ferro whispered, to himself. And then the next moment he was on his feet, holding Birgitte in a death grip as a group of magical beasts burst out of the earth carrying a girl. He relaxed when he heard their purpose, but only by a hair. Ferro had fought all of these beasts before, out in the wilderness, and he was prepared to fight if he must.

 

Cathos~~~~~

 

Cathos sidestepped through dimensions, vacating the space the burst of elemental power now entered. He stretched out a net of mental energy, hurling it at and capturing the blast. As the power was encompassed, it was forced into spherical shape and slowly shrank away to nothing. Cathos had drained it into the being's dimension, to feed it's intellect. He felt a minute increase in his strength, a hair compared to what he already had, but still there. Now there was just Griver left.

Before performing any action, Griver felt being pushed back.  Still standing up, he reached his own forehead.  Touching it, Griver sees some blood on his hand.  Somewhat shocked from this, he turns to see Sanya struck by the same kind of attack and pierced by the spear she was on.  Rolling his head around, Griver says:  "Using something to actually injury me is a mistake in itself.  But it is by far worse to do such thing to a lady."  Snapping his fingers, Griver puts up a dark yellow cover all over himself and Sanya.  Charging in his left hand, he punches the ground, sending a lethal wave towards the entire Iron team.  Then, marking a circular symbol in from of him, Griver streaks his right hand through it, launching dark yellow spheres diagonally down to his enemies, along with stalagmites from the ceiling.

Iron

"Griver." Adriev's voice reached the Kamyn. "You have fought well, but now is the time to retreat. Efenton is taking care of the Gold, Silver, and Platinum teams as we speak. Head to the location just beyond where he is, he may leave one or two alive to face the final test, and I want you to be there. Iron team has earned their passage in any case. Our great game is coming to a close once more."

 

The lift behind Griver sprung to life, only awaiting it's passengers to begin it's motion.

 

Kamyn

Adriev was waiting, waiting for the final chance to rid his world of this traitor Ryu. Iron team was battered, Gold, Silver, and Platinum were being dealt with by his son. All was in place.

 

The next move Ryu made would be his last, Adriev swore.

 

Soon the world would be new again.

Efenton opened his eyes wide. He could feel their energy In the air. "Get ready..." He told them all. "Another  test is upon us..." He looked at them. "We shall attack by surprise..." He said. "Those who don't want to fight now, play dead. Save your energy. Griver will come."

Sandrew stopped playing for a moment. "I'm not fit to do much, but I can at least handle a little fight..." Sandrew said in reply.

Looking to Efenton with a burning aura surrounding his body Tristan glanced to Sanya "(i figured she was still alive i knew i smelt phoenix ash back when that place went up in flames but when that Kamyn says she's ascended does he mean what i think he does if that's the case Sanya is no longer on our side?)" thinking heavily Tristan stepped forward coming near Efenton as he heard what he had just said "So another Kamyn is coming our way if thats the case if your going to fight along side us I'll accept it for now but dont think for a second that means that i trust you i know all to well its in the nature of you Kamyn to try and trick us humans so if it seems like your going to turn on us for even a moment remember I'll be there to take that head of yours right off your shoulders"

"Then you must be a good candidate..."  He said, outstretching his hand To Tristain. "This might hurt... We must look as if we were fighting." He found a small cut in his leg, and it grew slowly.

Upon hearing Andriev's voice and orders, Griver halts his attacks in place, shouting:  "What?!"  Sighing annoyed and partially angry, he thinks:  If you insist, alright.  I'll go.  Griver sways his left hand, removing the symbol, causing the spheres to fade away.  The wave evaporates from the ground, and Griver throws the stalagmites to the sides of the area, away from the Iron team.  Straightening his coat and wiping away the blood on his forehead, Griver proclaims:  "It appears this is a fortunate day for you lot.  Something just occurred to me and I must address it in person.  You have permission to advance.  Now, if you will excuse me...."  Turning away, Griver looks around and thinks:  Huh.  Sanya has disappeared again.  Hm.  Snapping fingers, he starts levitating and booms out of the area to a new destination.

"Sorry to keep you waiting Adreiv," Ryu broke his silence. He had finally found someone worthy to wield his power. "Offering's to Seraphim," Ryu declared loudly and clasped his hands into a praying formation. Within seconds of his declaration, a great wind swept Ryu up into the air and into an eye of a tornado. "Dimensional Rip," Ryu said. A rip opened in front of him, sucking away at his power of vibrations and sending it to the other side of the rip, which let straight to Varion. "Alchemist. Accept my power, and add it unto your own," Ryu said. With that, Ryu kept himself enclosed until Varion would accept his gift.

Ferro~~~~~

 

Ferro out the suffering Kamyn out of his mind for the time being. "I'll protect us. Chips can lend each and every one a shield." Even as he spoke, plates of white metal separated from Chips, coming to float around each member if the group. "I'll take the front to break attacks." "It'll be one hell of a time!" Vell cackled.

 

Cathos~~~~~

 

Cathos arched his eyebrow at the fleeing Kamyn. They didn't seem as powerful as everyone made them out to be. Could the knowledge they possessed even be worth the trouble of coming here? Cathos shook his head almost imperceptibly. That was a silly question. Any knowledge was worth the price. He put himself mentally into the lift, waiting for others to follow.

((Quick note- Griver isn't coming to the chamber you all are in. He's been sent further down the line to wait for any survivors because Adriev thinks Efenton is fighting the humans. His orders  shouldn't coincide with you guys until after the deal with Efenton and the recording is done.))

Kinzoku fell into the abyss. She awoke with a start. Recognizing that she was falling, the Mage screamed loudly. What had happened! Why in the world was she falling! Kinzoku hyperventilated. No. Just calm down. Take this one step at a time. She created a metal stretcher out of her ingots, and put it under her, hovering for a moment. She thought over what was going on. Last thing she remembered, they had been about to go through the door, then nothing. The curse? A betrayal? No, the curse was the only thing that made sense. In any case, she was trapped down here in all likelihood. She began to descend, albeit more slowly, into some new surroundings....

The Doctor smiled and spun his spear cockily when Griver disappeared. Whoever said Kamyn were gods? Gods didn't fall to spears. His spear dissipated, and he took out his pen. The Doctor began to scratch in his notebook, walking into the lift. He worked quietly, scribbling down some notes. He was hardly concerned with their next destination at the moment, completely absorbed in his work, as if he hadn't fought against two of the most powerful beings in the world but a few moments before.

He sensed him behind the door. "Noe for the final piece..."  He said.  "Gaze closely..." He said. "For the secrets of the Kamyn..." He said, pressing the button.

Cornelius remained silent as others answered Efenton. He decided it was best not to voice his reason and plans for coming along this adventure. The Kamyn might not approve. He smiled slightly when Efenton got up and pressed the button. A good thing the others were so eloquent. The Young Researched craned his neck to make sure he missed nothing of what was to be shown.

Sanya was up soon, thanks to Efenton. Rubbing her neck, she spotted...most of her old team.

Jasper.

Stomping over, she yanked her bag from him. "Thanks." She said indifferently. "I needed this." Dropping the black coat and revealing the fact she had no clothes whatsoever, she yanked a full set of clothes from her bag and began to get dressed.

In under a minute almost ready. As she tugged on boots, Sanya glanced around.

"Where's Kinzoku?"
