My personal thoughts? Everyone's overreacting. Oh no, it's in a Dream Ball. That's definitely an unfair advantage... It's just an aesthetic change, people. He wasn't even aware that it was hacked. I feel really bad for him, having to deal with so many people being jerks to him over this.

It WAS a hacked Pokemon. There's no proof that it isn't. However, he wasn't aware of this (It was traded to him), and it was only an aesthetic change.

About a good chunk have RNG abused Pokemom, some being donated. Figures that someone had to be a dick and donate a hacked Pokemon. Edit: Wait I'd this is Kalos native, it was the parents hacked. And I was right, according to reading further about how Agislash ended up on a Dream Ball.

 

Even though it was a legal Pokemon, they're strict on hacked Pokemon.

It WAS a hacked Pokemon. There's no proof that it isn't. However, he wasn't aware of this (It was traded to him), and it was only an aesthetic change.

Well he hasn't clarfied if he was aware of it or not.

 

He lost in the end anyway so I don't get why people are upset that much when he didn't even reach the finals

In today's fast-paced world who has the time to train Pokémon anymore?

It really doesn't take a lot of time especially with items and O-powers that boost the experience

 

And regardless of having time or not that isn't an excuse for cheating

 

That's like encouraging people to eat steroids before the olympic games instead of ....y'know,training in spending some actual time in the gym

 

Also you're contradicting yourself here in the same sentence with the whole fast paced world thing cuz X&Y added features that makes the traning and breeding much faster and easier than before

They probably want to have him banned for it, seeing he was the champion for previous VGCs. (and probably start saying he won previous ones with hacked mons) I doubt anything will happen since someone else had a hacked Hydriegon (caught from Ghetsis, so the level was too low), but the player lost anyways. So the Aegislash were legit but the parents were not.....question is....Is one of the parents from Gen 5 cuz that's the only way you can get a dream world Pokemon

 

I've checked Bulbapedia and one of the possible Pokemon to breed the Aegislash line with is the Cofigrigus line so he might got the dream ball from there since bred Pokemon in Gen 6 can also inherit the ball that the parent was in

I think the Pokeball is only inherited by the female parent. Yamask is genderless iirc. (or male only? I forget.)I beleive he's more on online simulators to practice and test VGC teams. Once that's done, he probably gets his Pokemon from others. (Most notably, Smogon does have members donating VGC mons or parents for players to use so they have more time to practice.)Although it is fishy he thought Nintendo's hack checks was enough. He said that he wasn't aware that it was hacked. If the only difference is something aesthetic like the Dream Ball, it makes sense that he wouldn't notice. It's not some glaring proof that it's hacked, like a different moveset.

Pokedex entries don't mean jack shit most of the time. Apparently they can breed then... But was it available on Dream World? (Back before it was shut down.) So far I've found nothing on it being available before. If it was, then I don't see how the parent were hacked then.I still chuckle though that he was ignorant on the "hack checker" Pokemon uses.

I don't really see the point in getting up in arms if A) the only thing "hacked" about it is inheriting the ball from a hacked pokemon, and B) he lost anyway. If the OT wasn't a pokemon generation program and it has the blue pentagon saying it was generated in XY, then I don't really see the problem? It's not like it was packing Boomburst or Dark Void or some shit, so what's the problem if it was just the offspring of a hacked pokemon?Pokemon is srs bsns, apparently.
