After many retail leaks, Square Enix Europe has finally announced Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4, Xbox One & PC.

 

Wow, it looks so real. Oh, wait, that's because that wasn't the actual game they showed

I'll pass. I did like the original game though. I'll just wait for a sequel.

All of these cross gen multiplats and ports are pissing me off. There's very few next gen exclusive games (besides wii u)

That's because they know people will eat it up and buy it once they mention the magestic words of ERMAGAWD IT'S TEN EIGHTY PEE AND 60 FRAMES PER SECONDS TOOOOOOTALLY WORTH IT even though it's the exact same game they've just played last year or the year before

 

Next gen is no longer about great exclusives,it's more about how to find a new ways to trick idiots into buying the games by making them technology nuts who'll love a game no matter how shit it is as long as it's 1080p and 60 FPS

And again,it's the exact same game as the next gen versions so if you have a Ps3Xbox 360 like me you have no reason to buy a Ps4Xbox One for Phantom Pain cuz you know you they're the same game but one looks better.

 

I mean literally I saw some Ps4Xbox One game boxes that shows in a big font in the back of the cover that the game "WORKS IN AMAZING FULL NATIVE 1080P AND 60 FPS" as the most important feature of the game

 

They know that this generation of gamers are mostly filled with tech nerds and they want to reenact the "SNES Vs Genesis" competition in their own way through resolution war cuz they know now that resolution sells

 

And here I'm saying:No thanks,my awesome Ps3 is still works just fine and I need to save my money for other things

The only ps4/xbone games I want are kh3 and ff15. That's it.

Now before someone gets on my ass,no I'm not bashing here,I really really want to get a Ps4,but so far there hasn't been a reason for me to get one especially when 95% of the stuff on the system is also on other systems that I already own.And I'm not gonna throw my extremely tight budget into a 399$+ machine just because it looks prettier.If there is that giant big ass exclusive Ps4 JRPG game that I can never get on any system...then I might consider saving money for it,cuz right now especially since my brother got an Xbox One(which KH3 and FFXV will come to as well) I have no reason to invest in a Ps4

 

And no,Infamous Second Son and Knack didn't entice me

The point of these ports is so people with PS4 and Xbox One can play these games before their sequels are released. Not everyone had a PS3 or 360. I know lots of people who missed out on games from this past generation like these

 

Plus they're doing a lot more than simply remastering it to 1080p. You seemed to have no complaints for the International versions of the PS2 era, well these have a lot more reason to be around than those releases.

yes but why pay $400.00 for a PS4 just for this HD port when you can get a PS3 for a cheap price? You should know that PS3 consoles are at a really cheap price now so people can just buy one for cheap and play all the games that they missed out on it and save some money. Just because the game is getting an HD remaster doesn't mean that it's better. The Silent Hill, and Zone of the Enders HD colections are great examples of that. And like Annoying D Waluigi said, they just make these ports because tech nerds will buy it just because it's in 1080p.

Tell me. Why do you care then? About them doing this port? Sequel's coming to next gen consoles. That's not changing because of this port, in fact the sequel could sell better because of it. If you don't like them, don't play them. Simple. Seriously, I see no reason for you to be annoyed by this.

And still,they just up the resolution and fix glitches....other than that it's the exact same game from last year and 2 years ago and worst of all some companies sell it for 60$ even though it doesn't introduce any new exclusive content that wasn't in the original version

 

When I get a next gen console I expect it to be filled to the brim with exclusives not on other consoles,not filled with the same shit I've played last year or being dominated by multiplatform titles that are also on previous gen too

GOTY cost the same and have less done to them, I don't see you whining about that.

 

Well Square Enix for example in this case are developing sequels to Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs for next gen consoles. What better way to get more people buying the sequel then by making the prequel actually playable on that platform to begin with. Can't expect people to fork out $250 on PS3 when they've just paid $400-$600 on a new console.

 

 

Because the game came out a year ago on a system that's still selling today. I can understand doing HD remasteres on systems that are no longer manufactured, but why remaster a game that hasn't been out for a long time and on a system that is still selling?

 

So those who have next gen consoles and not the last gen consoles can play the games before their sequels are released.
