To be honest, when I first saw wind waker on the gamecube I didn't like its art style, now when I play the hd version of the game I don't really hate the art style as much as I did many years ago. It's art style is pretty cool and unique, though I prefer Twilight Princess's art style. When I play the game time to time I feel like i'm on an adventure. Sailing across the great sea and finding treasure whenever you want is cool, and when you beat the first two dungeons in the game you will be able to explore every inch of the great sea. What do you think about this game? Did your opinion about this game change years after the game got released?

My opinion hasn't really changed.  I was excited for it to come out, and it's still fun to play years later.  I enjoyed the more cartoony style of the game, and thought that the ending was one of the most powerful out of all the games in the series thus far, despite the cutesy disguise.

I have got to say the expressions on Link's face in the wind waker has to have the funniest face expressions in the zelda series. They never get old xD

I think it's a solid entry to the legend of zelda franchise. I think the art style is nice, but I like realistic art styles in zelda games, though it would feel weird if wind waker was realistic looking

My opinion of the game never really changed either. I've always held it in high regard. The first time I played The Wind Waker, years ago, I actually thought it was one of the greatest Legend of Zelda games ever. I think it still is, even though it's not my favorite entry, it's definitely up there.

I thought the cartoon style was really cute, though I know the game received some criticism from those who weren't fans of it as well. Also I have to agree, Link's facial expressions in that game were priceless haha.

Wind Waker still has the best overworld of a Zelda game, in my opinion. The sea makes everything feel more grand, and the exploration throughout just feels more satisfying as a result. Granted, at first I was one of the many who thought the traveling by boat just took too long, but upon further reflection, maybe that's a good thing. It makes the journey more about, well, the journey itself, than if your just jumping from warp point to warp point.

Storywise, I think it's great. In spite of the cartoon graphics, it still has a dramatic arc that rivals many of the other titles, and possibly one of the more bitter sweet endings. Not to mention that last fight with Ganon was probably one of my favorite boss fights. All of the new characters were good and memorable, and sailing around with Tetra and the pirates is still one of my favorite memories. Not to mention it introduces the disturbing angle of Tingle and his tower, which just makes you look at the guy a little differently.

I used to own Windwaker and I would play it all the time, but then my GameCube broke and had to sell it. Maybe now that there is a HD version I'll buy a Wii U and Wind Waker.

It's literally 50 times better than every other Zelda game I've played. None of the others compelled me as much as WWHD did, and while I wasn't a Zelda fan until recently, I've always loved to cartoonish style. I actually hate Twilight Princess' art with a passion, so WWHD was a welcome change for me. Definitely one of the best games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. The adventure, the exploration, the art, the combat, the story... I love every single part of the game.

I've defined it as the best Zelda title in the series this far. It was originally given no chance by many fans, but within it's rich story that held perfect execution, it was able to make one theme stick around for the titles to come after it. Kidnappings may not have started with The Wind Waker, but every game past that point has used the same idea, though they executed it poorly many times, especially in Twilight Princess. The Wind Waker gave off the idea of what it would be like if Link had a family and lived an ordinary life. The entire goal Link had throughout it was to just save his sister. A small 12 year old boy sent the Master Sword through the Demon King's head. Who would have thought it'd be possible for a child to wield the Master Sword and strike down the most intimidating, most powerful evil known to mankind? To think all of this was the fault of Ganondorf kidnapping Link's sister.
