A game divided in episodes, where choises in previous episodes influence the upcoming episodes sounds a lot like "The Walking Dead" and "Wolf Among Us" by telltale games, not something entirely new.

On the other hand, I love these games so this could be great when executed properly.

But with characters with more spiky hair, I mean, it is Square Enix

"But what if we now announced an entirely new IP in the official Square Enix family? What if this title was wholly different to anything we have ever attempted before, both in gameplay and narrative? What if this title was released digitally as regular episodic content, with each new chapter building and evolving based on the choices you made in previous episodes? What if we now gave all of this a name: Life is Strange?"

 

Can be translated to "But what if we made a game that is like the games that telltale games make?  What if we did that and put Square Enix on it? Would you buy it? Please? We really could use the money..."

It's literally a Walking DeadWolf Among Us clone with maybe less zombies

 

And it's probably gonna have quick time events and multiple dialogue choices that may increase or decrease your relationship with the survivors

 

Can't wait for them to reveal the "Not Lee" and "Not Kenny" and "Not Clementine" and the other "totally not ripping off telltale games" cast

I'll play it. The game looks really promising. Kinda sad it wasn't the TWEWY 2 everyone was banking on. But never the less.. Looks like a great title

I think Not Clementine is in one of those preview pictures already

I might try it because I have never played a SE game besides the kingdom hearts series.
