I dun think Link would initially be planned for a Mario game. Besides it gives us more to do over time (literally, I cannot stress how worthless MK8 is to me without this new DLC). You might need to calm down a bit here.

Not really, other DLC are usually a weapon, clothes, OR a mission. Notice the emphasis on "or", since usually its not bundled together. Besides 10 bucks ain't much, that's like a less than a day's pay. This is good DLC, or what DLC should be. It should be fun, and give you more things to do and try out for a while.

Lol, that's just childish reasoning. I've no problem with DLC in any game. In fact I'm usually let down when there isn't DLC for a game. It gives me more reason to continue to play a game that has dying interest. It's usually the price that ends up being the problem, like paying $5 for a single character or new weapon.

You know, the time i started playing we had something like addons, which had the same price as the DLCs today (10-15€) but got mostly the same gametime as the main game. But paying 10€ for 3 maps, 2weapons and 1skins is just a scam and if you support it you supporting scamming.

Lol, that's just ridiculously. We're getting 3 characters, new vehicles, 8 new courses (that's two full new Grand Prix Cups) in each pack, plus several colors for Yoshi and Shy Guy if we buy both. I'd hardly call $20 for 6 characters, several new vehicles, and 16 courses, plus skins, a scam. Now if they wanted me to pay $10 for the tracks alone and I had to buy each thing separately, that's not worth the money. Business is business, deal with it.

I fail to see how it's not worth it and just like all other DLC when both combined will almost double the amount of tracks in the game. I hate DLC usually, but I'm not blind enough to think that all DLC is the same. Ever see New Super Luigi U?

Because you obviously know people. DLC can be good or not, depending on the price and what its giving you. This is good DLC, its not scam. What, would you like to pay $30 or $60 for another game with these 8 courses, new characters, and much more? Why end the game there when you can add good fun DLC for a very small price for the audience to enjoy. If you are just mad because you have to pay money (which like I said, you get more than 10 dollars everyday if you have a job, more specifically in the US) then welcome to business.

Hackers would've found it then. All they found was unused cups and other minor stuff. In other words, not a scam.Also $7.99 a pack. Buy all for $11.99. That's a good deal.

They "could" have been but they weren't and if they were, the game wouldn't even be out yet. You need to get through your thick skull that maybe "some" people actually want to go back to old games and get more out of it and from the fan reactions I've read, this DLC is singlehandedly reviving the game. Your basically saying "They should have delayed the game another year instead of making us pay for the cheapest DLC ever."

 

There is literally only ONE part of this DLC that was unused by the final game and that is the Yoshi Egg icon... That is it... LITERALLY NOBODY found unused or unfinished DLC content in the game other then that one icon.

You can't say that since DLC is meant as additional post-release content. So saying DLC is scam, it is contradicting its purpose. Yeah they could've been added, but they weren't. That is the point of DLC.

Pretty much because it's Nintendo doing DLC and god forbid they do even though THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY IS DOING IT

 

DLC like I said before(as if I wasn't a broken record already) when they're handled right they can tremendously extend the playability of the game

 

Heck in the fighting game genre one of the best ways to extend a game's lifecycle is through adding DLC characters.......as long as you don't do it the Capcom way ....then it'll be fine

This is not what I would consider "bad" DLC. Bad DLC is like when you buy one character for a fighting game for 8 bucks, then have to pay $2 or to get some cool costumes (see Dead or Alive, its a fun game, but the DLC is just insane). Or, of course, if the DLC is already completely on disc and is arbitrarily locked behind a pay-wall.

This is being released months after the initial game came out, and includes some unprecedented characters (Link? I would never have believed it). And we're also getting 16 new tracks, which is equivalent to the total amount of tracks in older MK games. And then 8 new vehicles to use. And we don't have to buy them separately. AND it wasn't already on disc. Sure, I still don't like paying extra money, but I also realize this is a pretty good deal.

 

Now, if we had to buy the characters, cars, and tracks separately, I'd say it was underhanded. But that's not the case.

Just got them dlc even the multi color Yoshis, multi color Shy Guys, and mercedes set.

By December I'll finally have enough to get a Wii U and Mario kart 8 the hype is real!
