If Jack Sparrow got a Keyblade then all the other pirates in Port Royal would be f*cked.

Wait, since Jack held the keyblade, wouldn't that mean Sora performed the Inheritance Ceremony? Considering Kairi accidentally touched Aquas and still performed it, wouldn't holding it still count, so long as Jack's heart is strong enough?

actually no, Aqua was a Master when Kairi touched her keyblade in Radiant Garden, and Kairi holds the right traits for the Keyblade to chose her, Sora was not a Master, and he basically handed it to Jack to prove a point that he can't use his Keyblade or any keyblade

That all makes sense except for one thing: Terra wasn't a master either, yet he performed it on Riku. But you're right, since Jack isn't qualified, he won't get one. Just a thought that popped into my head that I instantly made a comment on :P

You are only thinking about the pirates? With that he could unlock EVERYTHING!  D:

So, he can open all the treasure chests?

That happened because Kairi touched it while Aqua was holding it.  The same as Riku, he touched it while Terra was holding it.  Gosh, that sounded so wrong!

I don't think he would care. He's a pirate, all he really cares about is treasure, his ship and getting drunk. lol I doubt he'd be interested in unlocking a bunch of stuff with a weapon that lets you unlock anything. Its too big of a power for him to handle or care for.

Then again... he IS a pirate... so I guess things may get a little out of hand if he had the power...

This time we saw a "rite of succession"* - is that a required condition for becoming a Keyblade user?

Nomura: That's essentially correct. In terms of the rite itself, the successee* just has to make the successor grasp their Keyblade - if this rite is performed by a Keyblade Master, and if they have suitable power, the Keyblade will choose that person as a Keyblade user, and appear before them. Terra, Ventus, all have passed this rite. Sora is the only exception.

-- The Keyblade succession can only be performed by a Keyblade Master, but we see Terra performing this rite with Riku - does this mean we can consider Terra a Keyblade Master?

Nomura: No. Terra was not awarded that title by his Master Eraqus, so no matter how Master Xehanort flatters him he is not a Keyblade Master. But that's just a matter of whether or not he's achieved the official title. Even Eraqus recognised that Terra possessed suitable power to be a Master, which is why he was able to perform the rite for Riku.

well yeah, but like you said, he isn't qualified, at least not for a light realm keyblade, if he wants to embrace the darkness and go into the realm of darkness he might get a keyblade, but probably not... cause he's still a Disney character, lol, but also theres the part where Terra would totally 100% have been named a Keyblade Master had Xehanort not decide to screw his life to hell and steal his young body to replace his Old Ass Body, which still seems to serve him well, he's able to take a beating like crazy, but thats probably cause he's senile and keeps forgetting he got hit and is in pain, lol
