All we need is a Kingdom Hearts movie made by Disney so Sora (Possibly Riku too) can be a Disney Prince.

The requirement to be a Prince is to a Protagonist(Sora) or Deuteragonist (Riku) in a Disney Movies.

Sora is a good candidate. He is cute, nice, caring, brave, all the good qualities.. He is attractive and the only possible candidate for Disney Royalty in KH

I know what you are thinking and Kairi may be able to be a Disney princess, but if you put her you better add Alice and Esmerelda back and Megara. Yeah, she is important and she is a main character, but She is not the protagonist(Sora) or Deuteragonist(Riku)or the tritagonist(You could argue many people for this role) Disney won't add her because she won't sell. Sora could though.

"Each Official Disney Princess must: A) have a primary role in a Disney animated feature film, B) be human or closely human-like (i.e. Ariel), and C) not appear primarily in a sequel. The actual title of Princess (or equivalent) is not necessary, but certainly helps."

And you don't have to have a counterpart. Merida is a princess and she doesn't have a prince.

Hercules should be a Disney Prince for real though....

The official Disney Prince line up is just the love interests of the Disney Princesses.  Also all of them are either born royal or marry into royal bar two who are only there because their love interest is a Disney Princess since they needed cultural diversity in their milky set.  I'm pretty sure Megara's classed as a Disney Heroine and Hercules a Disney Hero.  Let's get real in that Merida was added officially to try and get away from them being associated with promoting a woman needing a man/relationship to be happy, same reason Rapunzel didn't get married at the end of Rapunzel to step away from the "marry someone you just met" trend.

I can't see why they would really think Sora would do well when the main point of the official disney prince line is so little girls can buy the love interest of their favorite doll that has one.  Making a movie just to add a title to his name that no one would really care about would be a costly process with little reward.

First, make a Kingdom Hearts movie purely for the sake of making a Kingdom Hearts movie and expanding the franchise, and THEN see where Sora falls in Disney royalty status.

No, the requirement to be a Disney Prince is to be a Prince (a human or once human prince). Like be married to a princess or be born into the royal family. The others are Disney Heroes.

That is not true John Smith is a Prince and he did not marry Pocahontas. You have to be the male protagonist of a Disney movie. Although, they are love interests the have to be a male protagonist.

I was just thinking IF that could happen. It doesnt matter if Sora became one because Disney Princes don't matter as much as the Princesses anyway. Most people don't know that was a title. I thought it was cute to speculate. Most girls don't buy the the prince dolls. They would rather have a doll of Ariel than Eric. You would be lucky to find a male prince doll in the states or any prince merchandise for that matter

So the list currently is Kuzco, Hercules, Flynn Rider and Adam (Beauty and the Beast). Oh right Prince Ali.

I was thinking characters who are technically actual princes

dang it. now i have to come up with some fanart now...

I've thought about this too, and as strange as it sounds- it sort of makes sense: Ansem the Wise was the king of Radient Garden, correct? If he never returns, dies, or resigns his position in KH3, who does that leave? Kairi? She's supposedly royalty, but what if she doesn't want to rule the world? Ienzo was like a son to Ansem W, so I guess he could be a nominee....but I doubt it he'd take it. So with that being said, I'm sure Sora has a 50/50 chance of getting nominated. On the other hand, there's also that crazy theory going around that Sora and Kairi are brother and sister..............

Incorrect. In order to be a Disney Prince a character has to be male, romantically involved with a Disney Princes and not originate from a sequel. Those are the only requirements. That's why there are 13 Princesses and only 11 Princes. Look at Jim Hawkins for example. He has all the necessary qualities, but isn't a Prince. Why? Because he doesn't have a Princess, or any romantic interest for that matter. (though I still think JimXSilver is so effing canon "surrogate father figure" my butt) On the other side, look at The Prince from Snow White (AKA Florian). Barely appears in the movie at all yet he gets to be a Prince because he's SW's BF, meanwhile the Dwarves had more screen time and where more important to the plot than he was. In other words Sora cannot be a Disney Prince unless Kairi becomes a Disney Princess.

ehhh..if they're going to make a KH movie, I'd rather they not use the usual Disney Tropes like the Prince and Princess thing to advertise it. it should have its action and adventure going for it, and a little comedy, but romance isn't really a KH thing, at least not at this stage of the franchise.
