Damn, If this goes to steam I won't need a PS4 as early as March.

Oooh, then maybe I won't have to worry about a PS4 as much. Even though I'll still need it for KH3 and FFXV.

If Type-0 HD comes to PC, I think it is fair to assume FFXV will too. KH3 probably won't, but you never know...

Good for PC players. I just want Crisis Core HD next and that's all.

Well Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus are the only games left for the 1st Production Department to remaster.

Wow, so soon? Still no Steam page for it though...

All the FF games will. If XV not at launch, then later in the year, or the following year. KH is yet to be confirmed.

I doubt IX, X, X-2, or XII will release on PC (since none of them have released on any non-Sony platform). It would be great if they did but those games don't seem likely.

X and X-2 can be easily ported to PC. But you might be right, I don't know if there's any licensing issues.

As for IX and XII. Well it's a tough one. The team who developed them is outside of the 1st Production Department and are currently most likely developing XVI but they have the assets so it's up to them if they get remastered.

They will. They mentioned earlier this year that all FF games will be coming to PC. Here is a source. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/square-enix-wants-to-bring-final-fantasy-games-to-pc/1100-6417852/

Kitase has nothing to do with IX or XII. While he wants a XII remaster it's not up to him if either get remastered. Read the rest of my post above.

That doesn't mean that they will bring all FF games to PC. I just find it odd that 7 and 8 released on PC the year after the console version, then they stopped for IX-XII. The XIII Saga is getting PC ports, but those games were never exclusive to one platform. Hopefully XIII is successful and they port the X HD Collection... but that link doesn't prove they want (or can have) all FF games on PC.

Don't lose hope. I haven't. Yet.

They ported VII and VIII to PC with help from edios because share holders thought they were restricting themselves with one platform. VII and VIII's original PC versions were loaded with problems (the teams who developed the games were made up of contractors so they couldn't help with the port) and did poorly so they didn't continue with it.

Well I guess the most get this especially for the demo of FFXV. Ofcourse it would be cheaper after a year.

On the other side you might get find a cheap used one.

I still think there is better things to remaster. Both games don't need to be remastered for the sake of it.

I thought Crisis Core was very popular. Also neither are playable on modern hardware.

Better things? The only other things the 1st Production Department could remaster would be Dissidia 012, The 3rd Birthday and Kingdom Hearts 3D. And those three are playable on Vita or 3DS.

Better games like XII for example. I guess I'm not all that fussed about Crisis Core as I own it on PSP to be honest.

Oh, I'd love XII HD Remaster for PS4 & PS Vita. But I'm talking about the 1st Production Department here. Kitase said that while he'd like to see a remaster of XII it's up to the XII team who are outside of the 1st Production Department.
