When you add shipping the difference is even less. Plus I hate importing. I'd rather support my economy.

Suit yourself.

Though, I don't really get the logic behind it. I really doubt a couple games from overseas would hurt our economy. Clothes and food items, sure.

E.g Buying clothes online from overseas or buying overseas food brands from costo. Just buy Australian grown/made stuff if you're worried.

I also prefer our cases. And I'd rather play games the day they come out rather than waiting 1-3 weeks.

I guess it depends on how much more one would pay and how much earlier they could get access to the game, but I can't imagine the kind of person that would knowingly pay more (presumably more than $60, the price of a typical new console game) to play a game than just wait until a guaranteed price drop to play the exact same game. They'd have to be so rich and spoiled on a level I have trouble comprehending.

I usually buy games day one (unless it's an old school game that I decided play) The price for me is irrelevant (to a reasonable extent) if I can get a game that I really want (Example KH3) a couple months early I'd be willing to pay a little bit extra but i respect where your coming from as well.

even though i'm not really much a gamer i would know my brother would not pay extra to get the game early, he said he'll rather wait for the official release

If the game was super special awesome, then probably.

Ah. Makes sense
