Posted December 13, 201411 yr I'm up to the final episode and despite loving IV I'm bored to death with The After Years now.
December 13, 201411 yr It's not as good as IV, but I still enjoy it. The boss gauntlet during the last story has completely halted my progress, though.
December 13, 201411 yr I really like it it's like a combination of FFVI and IV Really captured the SNES spriti, imo boss gauntlet was pretty long, though I love how the party member comment on it, and I love how guide dang it it is to get Golbez to survive I like it more than FFIV vanilla Though not as much as FFIV DS

Part of me wishes I hadn't spoiled that he could survive, though.
December 13, 201411 yr Its good, but definitely not as good as the original. The beginning was kind of interesting and there are some other interesting moments here and there, but a lot of moments bored me as well, until the final episode where things get more interesting again,I liked fighting all the old bosses, that was pretty cool, but then they ruin everything with the worst plot-twist I've seen in a video game,I was really disappointed. The game could have been better, but it felt too similar to the original FFIV,plus it was a lot more linear for some reason and I was expecting a much better ending.Cecil,Kain and Golbez are probably what kept from been completely bored, their character were kind of new, they were different then they were in the original and I was intrigued to see what would happen to them as I progress though the story. It wasn't bad,but I don't think I'll ever replay this game again.
