If you bought the collectors edition...

Posted

Hey everyone, I remember when the 2.5 collectors edition was announced, people thought the price was expensive. I decided to do my own research and see how much money you would have saved if you would have bought everything separately. I got all of my prices from various sellers on Amazon, so this is a tentative amount.

1.) 1.5- $17

2.) 2.5- $35

3.) Steelbook- $12

4.) Plush Doll- $10

5.) Pin- $5

6.) Artbook- $15

Total- $94

So you would end up saving yourself 6 bucks. But Square still sold it at a fair price. What do you guys think?

Well 1.5 sells for $20 and 2.5 sells for $40. So if you kept the other prices the same you end up having a total of $102. Not sure where you found people selling it lower but the standard price new on amazon is $20 and $40. I totally think it's a fair price though. It's only expensive if you already had 1.5, which I did, but I WANTED MY PLUSHIE. Actually I wanted the art book more, but I do love that little heartless. The art book was probably underpriced in your chart too. Art books are usually fairly expensive ~ $20-$30

They basically sold me with an steelbook with that invaluable image of KH2FM, and the discs of 1.5 and 2.5 with an image  of Sora from the menu of KH1 and KH2. I would have paid 100 bucks just for that two things, so yeah, Square actually were very nice

Meh, I.could handle 6 bucks. Still, $100 was a.pretty decent price.for.a.collectors.edition

I'm very happy with my CE, and would have probably paid even more for it. $100 seems quite fair.

I didn't have 1.5 so to me it is well worth it for 6 games and 2 movie games which are theatrical movies themselves plus artbook which is nice. Also, the steelbook is to die for and very cool.
