PS3/Xbox 360 games nowdays suck?!

Posted

Since the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One the games that have came out for all main consoles, such as PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One and PC have a terrible time on the old gen-consoles like I've never seen.

Shadow of Mordor, Dragon Age: Inquisition and other countless games had their graphics so bad on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 that it looks a lot like a PS2 game. We can't also forget about the glitches.

Is this a joke? The PS3 can handle a lot. Just look at tis EXCLUSIVES! Beyond: Two Souls; The Last of Us, etc... Damn, you can barely notice any difference on the PS4 version of this game except for the constrast.

The only recent game which I haven't hd any trouble playing for the PS3 is Alien: Isolation. Graphics look the same, except for a few objects which resolution is small -- doesn't bother me at all. Rare glitches and all of those sorts. Some freezings and frame drop time to time, which don't bug me at all.

My PC can't handle new games so well, so that's why I prefer to play 'em on my PS3, but what's the point if these new games suck ass on this console?! I know that this new generation is important, but that's not excuse to make games look like shit on the previous one! Back at the PS2-PS3 thingy, makers would make different games for both consoles in order to support the engines instead of loweing the graphical aspect!

KH 2.5 had extremely shitty graphics for an HD remaster considering the PS2 has graphics inferior to 90s PCs. I don't think you know what the word "graphics" or "remaster" mean in the gaming world.

No, that was a PS2 game, and it looks shitty as firetruck. Your 3DS can do a lot better. Kingdom Hearts looks terrible as a modern-day game. Kingdom Hearts 3 should be up to par however.

LOL. This is honestly just a matter of opinion, but Nintendo's games tend to be popular with old gamers and little kids.

You really need to stop, please stop doing this to yourself. The Wii U is a piece of shit when it comes to graphics. Nintendo stopped making their consoles for graphics after the Gamecube. They once made superior consoles, now they just make shit to appeal to the family.

Depends on what kind of graphics you like. I like the graphics on my Wii U better than what is on my PS4. Wii U has bright crisp colors. I dig that.

They're not stupid. They want you to to upgrade from the old consoles. This world is about making money, this is a mere stratergy to help obtain it.

This is kind of a late reply to this post, but I want to point out something here.

You say they want money by people upgrading their consoles, yet we have developers still making games for both systems. That makes no sense to me.

If they actually wanted to sell the PS4, they would ask developers to stop developing for the PS3 and release new games only on the PS4. Doing that would make me actually want to buy a PS4.

Maybe people buy consoles based on graphics, and that's fine. (But you should really buy a PC if that's the case.) But I buy consoles based on game library. Almost every game on the PS4 that I think is worth getting is on the PS3.

As it stands, if I hadn't gotten a PS4 on Christmas because the person who gave it to me thought there wasn't enough games on it to merit still owning, I wouldn't have this console right now.

Indeed but they're probably only really doing that out of obligation to the users of PS3, there really is a significant drop in quality between XBONE and 360 (in my experience). Games such as Forza Horizon 2, FIFA and CoD:AW had features missing or significant advances in gameplay missing that were available on the Current Gen consoles. It just made me feel like they were saying "Okay we have the game for you but we've not bothered with it so if you want the proper experience then go and get an XBONE."

I should't have done this post xD

The ps4 is not perfect, neither is the Ps3. The company just wants to force you to purchase a new machine to gain more popularity for the newer systems, regardless of actual quality in the in game designs on them. The Ps4 graphics don't look stunningly different to me. but the slow lag on Ps3 loading times is highly annoying, and mostly happens on newer games rather than older Ps3 releases.

So the games suck because of the graphics? That makes sense... (Not really).

I don't know what this means lol. The colors have to do with the game.  So dig the games..

Yeah pretty much this, the Wii U isn't providing colours, just a platform for said colours. Any other system can produce similarly colourful graphics

They don't suck. They were made for next gen and if Sony or Microsoft wasn't in need of previous gen revenue for some odd reason, these next gen titles wouldn't even have ports for the previous gen.

Money is money, business is business. If you're looking for Dragon Age: Inquisition, get it for next gen. It's better because it was made for that generation.

Also, you're better off not listening to some PC Elitist Bullshit, as that's far worse than the Sony/Xbox fanboys. I really don't think they've enjoyed anything in a long while. Graphical appearance is not a way to have fun.

This is so true :/

NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD A GAMING PC!

PS3 still had some incredibly and impressive games in 2013! Just look at the exclusives!

And not everyone can afford a PS4, heck even a PS3, I can't afford to have one :/

Actually, there are quite a few PC games that are fun, and I'm not saying that because of the graphics. I personally prefer Nintendo and Sony, but I do play a few games on PC, and I will say I have found quite a few games on that platform that are incredible experiences that can match up with console and handheld games, and even some PC games that I'd much rather play than their console counterparts, mostly due to controls. However, I will say that I'm not one of those people who believes they're part of the PC Master Race, and I can't stand that group of people. I just like to enjoy games, regardless of how I play them, and what I play them on.

And to support my whole "Graphics aren't everything about PC gaming" thing, I'm running on a laptop that even lags with the original Half Life game. I pretty much never have the graphics set to the highest settings.

You're beyond the group I was talking about so you're safe from my point. I wasn't talking about the games, I was talking about  the group.

PS3 is below 100 these days xD

PS3 is below 100 these days xD

...it is? With what kind of hard drive? 20 GB?

PS3 is below 100 these days xD

And some people don't have the money to put down for a PS3. Not to mention costs are different depending on region and model. Laughing at someone because they can't personally afford a game console isn't right.

PS3 is below 100 these days xD

And still people can't afford it dude.

I personally can't, and I'm not interested in buying a PS3, so... xD
