Massive Square Enix Steam sale, including Final Fantasy & Tomb Raider

Featured Replies

I'd consider picking up III if I had the Steam funds. Already have VII and IV on other platforms, and I don't care about the others. :/

XIII is the only one in the series I don't own... so I'll go for it. If I had money.

Massive?

This isn't massive

not by Steam's standards anyways

just wait for the Spring sale, you'll get much better prices

Massive in terms of the amount of games on sale. Not price.

I again direct you to any of the four seasonal Steam sales

Ummm, they have pretty much all their games on sale. Lol.

and they'll all be on sale again during the Spring sale and for more than 50% off

I dunno, I've never seen any FF game on Steam for more than 50% off. These are all the same deals from the Winter sale and I'm pretty sure the Autumn sale, so they'll probably be the same during Spring as well. No particular reason to wait for these, really.

generally they get a daily or community choice and go down to 75%

Yeah, but the only ones that are ever on there are VII and VIII. The rest are never more than half off, at least not on Steam. So if someone's interested in any of the other FF games (or the dozens of other SE games that are on sale right now for way way less) then there's no good reason to hold off.

that's because they were new last sale

seasonal sales are always deeper than random ones

III, IV and XIII weren't new by the time late December rolled around. And developer sales- like the exact one we're talking about- usually give discounts as heavy as the seasonal sales, just for specific games. Again, just look at Tomb Raider or Deus Ex or any of the other franchises SE owns; they're all absurdly cheap right now. FF games just never really are.
