Quick note about the AoC. There's been some discussion of the power levels of the abilities not being comparable, but understand that the current plan is there will be a soft "power level" that your ability will have to conform to, so you could, say, only be able to use a small amount of matter to transform into something, or you could only make something really big every few hours, ect... As the RP goes on these "power levels" will increase and I will let everyone know so they can up their attacks and such, but for now, don't worry about any character being OP, as even their powers seem to be, they will be pretty limited initially.

Ability of Creation: Key to the Heart:

Allows her to create keys to any form of lock, even deadbolts. This even includes digital passwords. 

 

Age: 20

 

Gender: Female

 

Appearance: Tall, skinny, but strong. Brown hair, features that wouldn't stand out, should anyone try and recognize her. Wears a red shirt, with blue pants. Tends to wear sandals. 

 

Personality: Tomboyish, and tends to be brash. With a short temper, she tends to lash out against anyone who tries to get close to her. This comes from having lived on the street for most of her life. If she does manage to make friends, she prefers to keep the relationship solely platonic. If her short temper gets the best of her, she's found being alone for a little while helps her cool off. The other option of beating up whoever angered her, is normally not a smart one. She has a secret hobby, that of reading books. Catching her reading one is the guaranteed way to get her angry. She doesn't like it when people know she reads and likes books.

 

Background: She doesn't know much about her parents, and she really doesn't care. She was raised on the street, and liked it. Sure, it was tough, but she got used to it after awhile. A thief she became, but a good one. She liked to steal the keys themselves, even when she had no further use for them. And now that she's grown up, she's still a good thief. She got a form of education, mostly from reading books.

Accepted! Looks good, I'll be psyched to design some challenges to put your powers to good use.

Name: Alysa Mors
Ability of Creation: Alysa's ability originates from her sword. Her sword is a competition quality épée, but when she found herself in the City, her blade had been sharpened, the competition tip replaced by an actual tip of a sword. Her sword felt a little heavier with the weight of new power. With a bit of experimentation, she found that wherever her sword touched, she could create, change, or vanish other matter. For example, she stabbed the ground, and a tree sprouted. Or if she stabbed a person, she could evaporate small pieces of flesh or change the air in their body to water. She can also parry away most projectiles and attacks by evaporating whatever was flung at her.
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Appearance:

Personality: Alysa is actually quite vulgar opposed to her stately appearance. She is lewd, crude, and overall rude. She doesn't care what other people think of her, and so, does what she wants when she wants to. She is insulting and mean. There aren't many bright sides to her personality. She says that she only looks out for herself, but whether or not that's true is yet to be seen because she has not grown close to anybody. She often makes choices out of spite and will refuse to follow others simply because she doesn't want to.
Background: Alysa grew up with only her father, whom she hated because he was always away and had little time for her. She became distant from others. Her father decided to give her a choice of one extracurricular. Out of spite, she chose the most expensive one she could think of. Fencing. Still, her father followed through, getting her all the equipment she needed, and enrolled her in a class for beginners. Alysa went in determined to dislike it, once again out of spite. But she found herself enjoying it. The clash of blades, the yelling and aggression. She loved it. Alysa became fantastic at it. She went to several tournaments, and won. She even went to the Junior Olympics for fencing, and gold medaled there. She was a world class fencer. When Alysa graduated, she left her father's house and became a fencer full time.

And Alysa is what happens when you go to a fencing tournament right after looking at the sign-ups. All parts of this sheet is apt to change, but for now she is complete.

Ability of Creation: Evolution creation. Can forcibly evolve or de-evolve any organism as long as he can comprehend the entire body structure and body functions. For instance he can combine two procariont cells in order to make a evcariont cell (human or plant cell). It can also manipulate mitosis and meiosis and copy the same organism. Apart from that he can also manipulate the body structure of living organisms. (For instance growing wings etc.)

 

Age: 16

 

Gender: male

 

Appearance: 

 

Personality: depending on the situation he can shift from extremely calm and rational to completely upbeat and energetic. Despite this he likes to keep the impression of an intellectual. His one flaw perhaps is the fact that he dislikes swallowing his pride. Because of his inability to do so he didn't really go over well in public.

 

Background: His brilliance and specialty was shown very early. At the age of 6 when he should have in-rolled to a traditional school a little argument was made on behalf of one of the parents that he is "A league above the rest." Thus he was sent to a private school specializing in science. There his mind only continued to amaze as anything he could get his hands on was just another toy. Around the age of 7 he was neck deep in experiments regarding the evolution theory. It didn't take long for that to collapse as his experiment to create a living dinosaur backfired and caused an explosion. Then came the necessity to re-socialize him. A number of years passed and he didn't change in the slightest. That lead to family issues that were never really resolved. This all lead to him wanting to shut himself into his own world.

 

You're accepted, welcome aboard! Nice idea for an ability, I'll be sure to setup some scenarios to use it.

 

 

Name: Liath Smith

 

Ability of Creation: The Incredible Mr. It- Liath is able to mentally control a small floating sphere of energy that he calls Mr. It. Mr. It. is able to possess inanimate objects, as well as certain organisms, such as plants, transforming them into dangerous creatures, usually of giant size. For example, if Mr. It possesses a car, it becomes something akin to a transformer. But if Mr. It possessed a tree, it transforms into a creature similar to an ent from Lord of the Rings. The energy sphere can also go into Liath, granting him superhuman levels of durability, although it offers no direct physical advantage this way. Also, Liath's inner lonliness manifests itself in Mr. It, causing him to think he's able to mentally talk with the sphere, when in fact he's conversing with his own split personality. It's ironic, really, that a man obsessed with figuring out mysteries, isn't aware of his own deepest secret.
 

Age: 19

 

Gender: Male

 

Appearance: 6'3" with medium length brown hair, blue eyes, light skin, and a long, thin nose. Wears an old grey trench coat with a white button up shirt and black bow tie. Also wears thin, wire-frame glasses, a grey flat cap, grey pants, and black shoes.

 

Personality: Liath is obsessed with finding the truth and uncovering mysteries, be them large or small. He tends to see people more as mysteries for him to uncover than actual people. He also has a love for justice, although this doesn't take priority over his endless search for truth and secrets. He's very good at reading people and sizing up situations, but between his insatiable curiosity about everyone and his generally low capacity for empathy, Liath tends to make pretty poor first impressions on people. This makes it very hard for him to make friends, causing Liath to often feel rather lonely, not that many can tell due to his eccentric and enigmatic demeanor.

 

Background: When Liath was still a child, his dad was murdered in an alleyway. Furious that the police couldn't discover the identity of the murderer and bring him to justice, Liath took things into his own hands, and discovered who murdered his father. He gathered the necessary evidence, showed it to the police, and the killer was caught and sent to prison two weeks before Liath's eleventh birthday. Ever since then, Liath's been obsessed with solving mysteries and uncovering secrets everywhere he went.

Accepted! Intriguing power, I'll be curious to see how it plays in, but for now I'll think up some potential challenges.

 

 

I read the main post, I couldn't read the rest because of what I'm doing, but here's a quick character sheet.
 

Name: Satchel M. Brooks

 

Ability of Creation: To be honest, I'm not sure what to put here. I guess I could maybe have Satchel be able to create/use things water related? I'm sorry if I don't completely understand, it's kind of a mind blowing RP so I'm not sure how I would be able to give Satchel an AoC without making him too OP. And I'm not exactly sure how the use works. You said that we could change things, into other things? So, let's say, would Satchel be able to change a road into a coursing River, with all the force of a great Typhoon? Or perhaps some sort of Water Spout or Whirlpool? Sorry if you covered this already and I missed it.

Gender:M

 

Appearance: Satchel likes to keep it simple. Nice, clean black jeans, tennis shoes, and a blue T-Shirt, with a longer white one under it. He's eyes of Hazel, and Black hair, although some people may claim that it is brown.

 

Personality: He's a pretty simple guy. He's a hopeless romantic and a pretty bad one at that. (He flirts with everyone, but they're pretty bad lines tbh) He likes singing to people, and loves hearing others sing. It's pretty hard to get him Angry, but really easy to make him sad/upset. He's not too funny or energetic, more of a follower than a leader. He likes being commanded, unless it goes against his own Moral judgement.

 

Background: He had a basic life, he took walks every day, scrolled around on Tumblr, ate his breakfast, the average Joe. Except his name isn't Joe, it's Satchel. Which is a pretty weird name I guess. Some people used to make fun of his name, calling him Handbag and Rucksack.

Accepted! That power works just fine. I kept the AoC purposefully vague to let people make some interesting things, but the jist is that you can turn matter into something else of a specific type or form, which your power fits into well.

Name: Laciann Pascual

 

Ability of Creation: I'll list all the basic uses here for convenience.

The fingertips of his gloves are the origin of his powers. By touching an inanimate object like the city, he can create and manipulate strings. At first, they are simply firm and and thin, but throughout the RP, he'll be able to manipulate them, ranging from being hard as steel alloy to soft as normal cloth and being able to vary the shape of strings from being thin as guitar strings or thick and bamboo-shaped. Possible uses at the beginning of the RP are creating tripwire, makeshift polearms, and being able to wrap it around people or himself quickly for armor. More uses later on as he gains mastery throughout the RP would be tying them to other weapons and manipulating them like a mace, binding a person enough to slow their movement (not all movement, that would be unfair), possible uses as a band-aid/first aid, and having string last long enough to be hidden on/in his body for surprise use. Another possible endgame ability would be using them as a tightrope between buildings.

Gender: Male

 

Appearance: I spent an hour deciding. I got bored. Lubbock it is, but black hair. Imagine a teddy bear head image on his shirt. His gloves are like the third image, but full fingers covered.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personality: Unpredictable. Sarcastic and blunt, yet perverted and cheerful. Goes with the current flow, yet has his own motives. May help or hinder.

 

Background: Being the child of an asian parents, Laciann relied on his imagination for comfort as he worked his way up school, often being bullied due to his odd foreign name which held no relevance to him, and his tendency to try to please others to a fault. As he reached his teenage years, he developed a fondness for activities that used hand eye coordination such as video games and instruments, especially the piano. Ironically, puppeteering was never on his list. Finding solace in his own activities, Laciann grew cynical of the world, often answering blunt responses and doing questionably perverted things. About to enter college, he finds himself in the City instead, with a power that suits his creativity.
