The title says it all. Please give reason for choice if you can. If you prefer Traditional and such (Jeet Kune Do, Chun Kuk Do, and Hapkido are valid for traditional) what is your favorite style?!?! Stay safe, be blessed, and have a great day everyone

Well, why not mix both? Both arts are great arts just use both arts or one or the other depending on what situation you are in. It's better not to be picky choosy when your life is on the line or if there's people you have to protect.

Traditional, because I don't generally see Mixed Martial artists pull off moves like this:

Mixed Martial Arts tends to just look like free-form boxing+wrestling to me.

Traditional, because there's always that chance someone might shoot a fireball from their hands or transform into a tiger or something like that. You never get that out of MMA.

I like Wing Chun, so I like Traditional.

Traditional looks cooler and might catch your opponent off-guard (or at least more easily than MMA). MMA is very straightforwardly effective, but that's it. 2-1 in favour of traditional.

It's really a toss-up. In MMA, it is a very direct style of combat, much like kick boxing, but with other forms of fighting involved as well. With traditional, you learn the trusted and true methods of fighting and not just the head-on stuff. You learn a diffrent kind of disipline from it than you get form MMA (MMA is very rigorous physical training, but traditional style isn't just the physical, but a balance between physical and mental) so in the end it really depends on who you are. If you prefer hyperagressive styles, then MMA is for you, if you prefer more balanced styles, traditional.

On this note, I say that both can only take you so far. MMA is a lot more freeform, try new things, find out what works and dosen't work for you. Traditional teaches you what is known and that's it. But what is known is seriously badass. Personally, I like a mixture. I use to (and hopefully after I recover from my current injury will contenue to) train in martial arts, but found the rigid rules of a school and its style holding me back from improving farther than what I was doing, but it gave me the mental focus and training basis I needed to improve and become much better than I was Previously.

No preference

In my personal opinion the best fighter will be constantly adapting his/her fighting style after his/her every experience.

That might make it sound like I think MMA are better, but it really depends on how you are adapting.I think it is possible to adapt by refining your traditional martial arts style. That being said I think I like "Kung Fu" movies' fighting. And sadly I haven't picked a favorite style.

Peace!

I'd go with PW but since there ain't an option, I'm going with MMA .
