Anyway we all know by now that Aerith is killed by Sephiroth (or Cloud if you really believe that he drowned her) in Final Fantasy 7. As she appears in the KH games, and since the KH games loosely have Final Fantasy sub plots in them between the FF characters, would you like Aerith to die in a future KH game, presumably killed by Sephiroth's hand?

 

I myself would actually want her to die, only because it would generate a very interesting emotional plot between Sora and the Hollow Bastion Gang, plus, Cloud and Leon would obviously go absolutely crazy, so I would love to see their reactions on that part. I also thing it would be very interesting to see how a plot like that would go, and what Sora's responce would be as well as everyone else.

If that were to happen, it would be amazing. I love Aerith, but I would love to see Cloud go batshit insane after Superoth[Get it? He shared the same voice actor as Superman from the Justice League cartoon]just makes Areith go the way of the dodo.

Well no one really dies in Kingdom Hearts so I doubt that will happen.

That is true, but I think this would be a different case considering this is Final Fantasy characters instead of the KH characters. In the past there's somewhat implied hidden Final Fantasy plots in KH (for example Zach at the ending of Birth by Sleep) so I think Aerith could actually die.

It would certainly be an abrupt tone shift that would be hard to recover from, but the long term story implications would be interesting to be sure.

And just have Cloud fall to his knees and hold Zach's hand and cry like a little kid just like Sora did in KH 2 LOL

There aren't really any FF subplots per se, just preestablished relationships based off the games where they originate,so no, I don't think that sephy will be doing any killing in KH3, if he did, it would be a pseudo death and aerith will come back towards the end or something.

True but I think he's still living in Terra's heart and helping him fighting Master Xehanort as well.

Still. He basically died. Even though his heart resides in Terra, there is no doubt that he died by Xehanort's hand, losing his body completely.

You know, I've been wondering about this myself!  I'm pretty sure that we'll see a big stir up with the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee in Kingdom Hearts III! Damn, if Aerith dies, that'll make for quite the dramatic spectacle!

I thought of this little plot idea a while back: 

 

Aerith finds out some very vital information about Xehanort and/or the Foretellers or the Keyblade War; and she rushes out to tell Sora and the gang, who are fighting Heartless. However, Sephiroth descends down and moves to stab Aerith in the back. Sora and Donald see and scream for her to look out. Donald (Or Sora) turns Sephiroth's sword to rubber, Aerith turns around, grabs the sword (so it bends as Sephiroth lands), glares at Sephiroth, and lets go of the sword, causing Sephiroth to stumble. Aerith summons her katana and wallops him to the ground. 

 

That would be a nice callback to FFVII, and make it more kid-friendly.

I'd rather have a tiny implication in the main plot for all FF characters introduced so far, than a full plot about a FFVII character. Like having Leon and Yuffie (Cloud and Sephiroth returned to their home world for what we know) travelling from world to world fighting their own battles against the Heartless/Nobodies/Unversed/Nightmares -pick your fav'- and doing some badass moves. 

Hollow Bastion is safe so far. Tron runs the city's defense system, Dilan, Even, Aeleus and Ienzo returned and will probably do whatever they can to help Aerith and cie with the city as a repentish thing. Heck, Lea'll probably return to his home world too, to train with Leon (he can't become a fully trained Keyblade wielders in 2 days).

 

So, yeah. I'd rather have Cloud and Sephi out of the picture as long as possible, so that the others FF guys could grow more important. And I'd love to battle another FF villain. Gilgamesh, Cloud of Darkness (this one would be so cool and related to the story) or Jecht on Destiny Island (which would make sense too!) :-)
