It's been a long war.

Rias Teryn walked through the halls of the Temple of Mercy, heading for the War Room. Behind her walked Elysiel, the simple, but extremely powerful Seraph. Bare feet muffled by her metal combat boots, Rias shoved the doors open, shoulders set.

"Tell me we haven't lost another city."

Her war council turned. "Chantry is under heavy attack from Abraxian rebels, milady. We're doing our best, but we can't perform mi...we can't turn the tide of battle with so few Eidos still able to fight. Many are still hurt, and many yet are untrained. We need something."

Rias flicked dark hair from her eyes, grey eyes set. "And of the Federation's assistance?"

"The war machnes they did send are protecting Sanctuary, but the loss of Basilica has already hit us hard."

The Dominion held city of Basilica was under Abraxian control. They were losing the war, and they didn't now what to do without help. The surprise attack was a Second Bloody Valentine; many of their best men and women fell, and now she alone could do nothing. With Victoria and Diabelia pressuring the Federation to stay out, and the Peristylium staying apart, the Dominion was going to fall...they needed a miracle.

A miracle that Elysiel wouldn't be able to pull off alone.

Federation Supreme Headquarters Xion

Soren de Wynter hated paperwork. he hated it with the fury of ten thousand suns. He couldn't stand the amount, but someone had to lead. Yes, most of this was sign here, here, and here, but some wasn't. He had thrown a lot of his paperwork onto newly hired assistants and other civilians, a lot of classified stuff he just couldn't do that with. He was not happy, and wondered if he could get another Admiral to lend a hand. His hatred off the entire concept of paperwork by the lights dimming, and his main screen snapping on to show his purple-haired sister, Cinder.

"Soren."

"Cinder."

His sister didn't salute. He had to order her not to. "Basilica's fall has left Chantry and Sanctuary wide open. Even the help we've sent has not been enough. Soren, we have to intervene. Zadkiel is going to fall, and if they....if the Dominion falls, we could be seeing another Great Division."

Soren chewed the end of his stylus. He admitted, she was right. But what he right now had to do, was sway either the Kingdom of Victoria, or the Empire of Diabelia...neither choice was something he wanted. He set the stylus down. "Stealth is of the utmost importance. Cinder, this is to be considered an Omega Order - ensure that the city of Sanctuary does not fall. I will work on my end, but I'll need a way to get my ships to you. Buy Rias and I time...and be careful."

"I will."

The screen off, Soren de Wynter swept his arm across the table, sending papers and tablets onto the floor. He hit the intercom.

"Get me Rear Admiral Kirin Lei. Now."

IDF Normandy, 13th Intelligence Fleet. Current Location: High altitude above the Dominion City of Sanctuary

Cinder de Wynter turned from the screen to her Eidolon, Altria. The King of Knights was sitting with her arms and legs crossed, eyes closed. The purple-haired Commander crept closer and bent over, but a gauntleted hand grabbed her chin.

"Bad girl."

She whimpered, lightly tossed back. Altria rose. "If I knew you were such a pervert, I would have reconsidered."

Cinder pouted. "...I just can't stop...you're amazing."

Light blush. Score one for Cinder. "Shut up."

Cinder giggled. Altria couldn't deny it - she did have a real soft spot for Cinder. How soft...well, depended on how hot Cinder was going to turn up the heat. And what was all it took to start a wildfire?

A cinder.

Poof. A straw dummy's head exploded when a huge fist went straight through it. "Hmph." Ager grunted, amused the effect of his punch. But stuff like beating up on a dummy was not going to actually help him practice fighting, not at this point. No, he'd be better off with sparring or strength training. The door to the room creaked open.

"You know, you have to be a pretty bad bodyguard for your client to have to come and get you." The sharp tone of the Praetor echoed around. Ager barely responded, only grunting in response. Griffith came over and inspected the headless dummy. "Where's Milas? I thought I'd find you both here, beating the crud out of each other." Griffith questioned. Ager shrugged.

"In the baths. She started working out much earlier than I did, and wanted to get the sweat off her before spending a day in meetings." The Brute answered, beginning to clean up the training gear.

"And you don't feel the same?"

"I feel that it doesn't matter what I smell like. Everybody in those meetings knows me, and a bath isn't going to change their minds."

"Alright then. I bet Milas would appreciate it though." Griffith said, insinuating something very clearly. Ager didn't reply, simply walked out of the room. Griffith smiled to himself. "I do wonder if I could hire some more competent street thugs to be my bodyguards sometimes." Griffith called to his comrade, beginning to follow.

"They don't exist." Ager's voice echoed back.

"On my mark..." He called to his team. "Aim carefully, remember, if any of us miss, we're spotted and dead before you can load in another bullet." Kirin commanded to his team. He aimed down the site of his rifle. "On my say. Three... two... one... Fire!" He called to his team. "One. Two. three... Five? What about four? ...Crap! Someone missed!?" In that instant, gun fire washed over him...

"SIMULATION TERMINATED. SIMULATION TERMINATED."

"Damn..." Kirin muttered, getting his simulation helmet off of his head, he looked to his team "What happened!? I told you all to aim carefully!" He called, his team just shook their heads. "It wasn't us, sir. Had you stayed for the score count, you would have noticed you were off."

Kirin was taken aback. "Not possible... except..." He checked his rifle, it was his father's old rifle, he never did anything without it. He looked down the site and at the target, aiming carefully, he shot once again down the firing range. Missed. "The hell?" He removed the sight off of the gun, checking it carefully. "Brady! I told you to stop messing with my damn gun!" He yelled at his squad mates, which the one in question only laughed. "As your superior officer... I want you to do fifty squat jumps around the whole base! And after you've finished that, I want a million press-ups from you, and you better not stop until your biceps explode!" He screamed at the man in question, who only kept laughing until Kirin punched him so hard in the face he went through the small wooden wall that kept the stalls separate in the firing range. "MOVE IT YOU BASTARD!" He screamed, and the man got up and began performing his punishment.

The rest of the men sat quite startled off to the side. He looked at the three of them. "You lot did well today. No punishment for you. Kan, could you refocus my rifle for me? You know how to better than I. If so, dismissed." the older male, who worked for his father previoysly, who smiled and took the rifle out of the room and left. "As for you two, come here." He pulled the other two over to the stall he had broke. "I need you two to repair this, if you could. I have a meeting soon." He said, the two of them nodded. "Yes, sir." they responded. "Don't call me sir, not when we're alone like this. We are friends, I am not above you two." they breathed a sigh of relief. "Sorry, just still remember my days as a new recruit under you, still scares me every so often." One said, the other was silent, but nodded. With that, Kirin left the virtual training fire range, off t ok the barracks to change.

Kasou Tou in the city of Sanctuary heard about the attack on the city of Chantry and knew that he might be of some use to help but was unsure of how to get there or even if he would be of any use... 'I don't know why but I have a feeling that Chantry is in trouble, I want to protect the people there and show them the kindness to help them through this difficult time.' As he thought this Alaria showed up, "I can always fly you there you know." Alaria said in a grumpy voice, an angry look on her face, and her hands on her hips. "You seem to always forget about me." Kasou chuckled and rubbed the back of his head, "I'm sorry I don't mean to... So you are willing to get me over to Chantry?" He asked. Alaria smiled and said, "Hold on tight." With that they were on their way to Chantry to help.

"As your superior officer... I want you to do fifty squat jumps around the whole base! And after you've finished that, I want a million press-ups from you, and you better not stop until your biceps explode!"

(I hope you realize this means that I have to call Kirin "Square-tache" from now on.)

Antigone sat in complete silence. With nothing but a candle to give her light, she was reading as usual. While many other soldiers in Viridian's army were probably all talking to each other or sparring, she was off studying. As much as she focused on her training, she always appreciated that time after practice drills when she could retreat to a library and read. After dealing with the noise and physical activities of combat training, she enjoyed spending time all to herself. However, she wasn't alone. After finishing a chapter, she heard a voice.

"You're reading about that battle again? You've spent the past week doing nothing but reading about Bloody Valentine." The voice spoke.

"It's wise to learn from the mistake of my ancestors, right? If I know what went wrong that day, I can make sure that all future battles will go smoothly." Antigone responded calmly. If anyone else was around, they would have only heard her voice. "We can't have a similar tragedy, can we, Athena?" She asked the voice.

"That's true, but if you don't train physically, you won't be able to do much if you end up in a dangerous situation. Keeping these plans to yourself is no good if you're dead." Athena's voice rang in Antigone's head.

Antigone groaned. "You're the goddess of wisdom, aren't you? I thought you'd want me to study as often as possible."

"Yes, and I'm wise enough to know that you'll need more than mental training if you're in the military." The goddess lectured her Eidos.

Antigone sighed. "I'll go train when I'm done reading, okay?"

"If you don't go now, I'll take control and make you find a sparring partner." Athena spoke more harshly.

"Fine..." Antigone shut her book, and left the library. "You can't interrupt me next time, though."

"I waited until you finished your chapter, didn't I?" Athena spoke in a more playful tone now.

After returning to her room and changing into her armor, Antigone left for the training grounds. She decided to practice against a few dummies, being a little too shy to ask someone to help her train. She found a sword on a nearby weapon rack, and examined it. It was a broadsword, just like what she used. Perfect. She began slashing at her inanimate foe mercilessly, while Athena decided to cheer her on from the sidelines.

In the training grounds Maxwell was training, having put multiple dummies in front of him, he was training his summoning abilities and his speed this time, to be able to deal with multiple foes with ease.

"Alright, again!" Skeith shouted at Max from a few meters away, having manifested itself to assit him in his training, "You'l never make it to gold like this!" Skeith said with a chuckle, even though it had no mouth, its voice could be heard as a loud echo from it, Maxwell simply frowned at his statement, "Well to be fair im only not in gold because you refuse to let us fight at full potential until something bad happens" Maximilian retorted.

"True, but still" Skeith said crossing its arms, "Where would the fun be in that?" he asked, "Well if we were gold we'd have more respect for starters" Max said as he charged at the four dummies he had set up.

Quickly firing three energy orbs into the leftmost one, and dashing to one on the right and slashing it to pieces with a combo of four slashes with a summoned sword, on the last slash he took the momentum of the slash to spin around and throw the sword at the other dummy, before dashing at the last dummy with a large summoned scythe in his hand as he slashes it in half, all of this in the span of a few seconds.

"Good" Skeith said, "Thanks?" Max retorted.

He wasn't exactly the most respected Eidos of viridia, in fact he'd wager he wasn't respected or even aknowledged half of the time, although his value was still high due to being an Eidos, he was in the Bronze centurion division when he should have been on Silver or Gold, but Skeiths choice of fighting alongside him and not taking control of him and fighting that way left some officials rather, disappointed, although he didn't care, being in gold could prove to be good for his standing, but right now, he was looking for a sparring partner if possible, looking around for a few candidates was easy, but he decided to let them come to him, or wait a while before finding one.

(Skeith's dialogue : Red)

Magnus carefully examined the edge on his spear for a moment before starting on the other edge with his whetstone. The mechanical process of sharpening was deeply ingrained in him, which allowed his to concentrate on the book propped up before him. It was a book on political philosophy by some long dead man who thought he was an expert. While Magnus found some valuable insight in the text, he felt the writer was making things too complicated. In life, you started basic, then made things more refined as needed. And in the end, what most people wanted was basic.

Fenris stirred from his resting place a yard from where Magnus sat. He looked up and whined softly.

"Don't worry." Magnus said softly. "I'm sure Talathea will behave herself this time."

A few seconds later, Magda and her beast mount Talathea landed the open terrace Magnus was on in the city of Orthrys. The younger twin nimbly dismounted her Eidolon and approached her brother. The two Eidolons eyed each other coldly.

"Still trying to bury your nose in books, brother?" Magda said in a teasing tone.

"What you know can make you stronger, sister." Magnus explained patiently, not looking up from the book. "Books allow you to learn what other knew."

"Or what they want you to think they knew." Magda retorted.

The Young Councilman smiled slightly.

"Certainly, but you can learn from that as well."

Taking note of the number of the page he was on, Magnus closed the book and looked up at his sister.

"So, how was the Rat?" He asked pleasantly.

"Unhelpful." Magda said irritably. "All he knew of the insurgents was already common knowledge."

Magnus nodded, looking disappointed.

"Then we will have to do some of our own digging." He noted, then gave his sisters satisfied look. "Luckily, I may have found a replacement member for the honor guard. You have heard of Alicia Kross?"

Magda took a moment to sort through the people on their watch list.

"Yes." She finally said, then cocked an eyebrow. "You think you can get her?"

"I'm in the middle of arranging a meeting with her. We can then ascertain if she is what we are looking for."

While Kasou and Alaria were flying to Chantry he contacted Poseidon the Greek god of water 'Poseidon, I am going to need your help soon... People are dying in this world and I need to show them kindness and help them through the issues. If you are willing to help me I would be grateful.'

Poseidon heard his plead and answered 'What is the current situation?'

Kasuo answered 'One of our cities are being attacked by rebels, and I will need your protection and your healing power as well.'

'Very well... I shall be of service to you, how ever you long you need me.'

'Thank you... I am grateful.'

Kasou looked down and saw Chantry, "THERE IT IS!!! TAKE US DOWN!" He yelled over the sound of the wind.

Alaria nodded saying, "Of course."

They landed at the nearest camp in hopes to run into someone who could help them and answer any questions they may have.

Another boring patrol day in the skies near Orthys, the main capital of Diabelia, Alicia and Ctushus flew in the skies around regularly on patrols, as ordered by her elders and superiors in the military. Even though Diabelia didn't care much about Zadkiel nor Abraxus, the leaders were still worried about an Abraxian invasion, with the state of caution in pretty much the entire Empire, training was roughened, patrols were doubled and the defensive forces increased, all in order to be a bit more safe in the case of an attack.

At least that was Alicia's take on it, as she was flying with Cthusus, "Well boy, seems like there is nothing to see and report, as usual." she said leaning forward and supporting her head with her arm, bored, Cthusus let out a small growl, "Tis but a measure of caution, with this war, im surprise they only increased what they did in preparation for an attack." Cthusus said in a serious tone, as serious as could be perceived since his voice came with a few echoes and low pitch, considering the monster that he was, "Yeah, an attack that might not even happen" Alicia commented.

"Preparation is key, even if it means wasting resources, tis better to be safe" Cthusus explained, to which Alicia nodded in agreement, "Well,I guess you have a point, doesn't make these patrols any less boring though" Alicia said as he yawned, "Well, we've been patrolling long enough lets go back" she said as she and Cthusus flew back ot the capital, she used to patrol the skies for 4 hours every two days, but with these preparations it has increased to 6 hours every day, which tired her, and didn't allow for much battle training for her and Cthusus, not that they didn't have enough of course.

-Soren-

Th boy was napping when his desk buzzed. Falling from his chair, he sat up.

"What."

"Kirin's kinda...not answering."

Soren sighed and got up. Dusting his uniform off, he turned the intercom off and stepped outside.  "i'll find him." He said, then headed off. The Headquarters for the Inazuman Military was a massive citadel, bigger than the original one...but the original was where the main admiralty stayed, normally. Soren, though, prefered being out here in Xion. It was more peaceful for him, calmer. Something he liked.

Of course, when Kirin was being his usual self, it was a right pain in the ass. But he was a good soldier, one that Soren could trust...and he needed people he could trust.

Finally arriving at the last known location of his errant rear admiral, Soren entered the barracks. He literally had two seconds to look around before the entire place was a flurry of movement, with soldiers lining their bunks in various forms of dress.

"OFFICER ON DECK!" One shouted, and a line of salutes sprang up. He returned them. "At ease. Where's Admiral Lei?""Lei is getting ready sir, he's back from the range."

Nodding, Soren continued over and knocked. "Kirin. We need to talk."

-Cinder-

Cinder and her Eidolon, Altria, were currently based on the floating city of Sanctuary, along with the thirteen fast attack frigates and corvettes that made up the 13th Reconnaissance Fleet. They were getting ready to leave for Chantry and assist with the war, but finding ways to pull that off without causing diplomatic incidents with other countries was...difficult. But not impossible.

The purple-haired Commander was getting dressed, with Altria's back turned with...indifference. Cinder sadly had a huge crush on her Eidolon...but was ignored. never rebuffed - Cinder was too scared to actually flirt. She expected the woman to be a bit angry with her....

"Ah!" She yelped, and toppled over. She hadn't tugged her suit up and turned, and now was in a comical heap on the ground. An exasperated sigh came from Altria, who finally turned around and came down to help.

Finally dressed, Cinder sat down, cheeks burning. Altria said nothing.

"Idiot."

"...I'm you're idiot though."

Altria reached down and put a hand on Cinder's hair. "Yes. You are."

City of Chantry, Zadkiel Dominion

The city was on fire.

The war between the two opposing sides was tearing apart the floating city, and they were ever failing. The Dominion was losing it's power with every defeat, and the Principality of Abraxas only got stronger. Despair, hopelessness were setting into the once proud Dominion...but there was something else. Eidolons were not as powerful as before, Angels unable to unleash their full power. Something was wrong, and the cries of help to the patron Archangel Zadkiel, unanswered.

Within the command tent stood the sadistic leader of Abraxas - Argos Drakon. A powerful and dangerous man, he was destroying any and all things Zadkiel. Behind him stood his own demonic Eidolon, Nyxeris - his personal Goddess of Night. Her scantily-clad form was something to admire, though Argos did not react to his carnal desires.

He had a Dominion to crush. And crush he will.

"Sir, enemy reinforcements have arrived."

"No mattter..." The man smirked. "Not even the Seraphim herself can turn the tide. Chantry will fall by the night...for Nyxeris will enter the fray."

No one looked. Nyxeris was a dangerous Eidolon, one that even Abraxian forces loathed to be around. She usually was indiscriminate with her attacks - killing both Dominion, and Abraxian alike.

And she always seemed to cry when she did so.

"Hold on one moment, if you would. You know these suits never sit right on me until I've fussed with it for an hour..." Kirin said in reply. "Unless I can skip the formalities?" The door muffled the count somewhat, but the sound of cloth being rustled and moved, disturbed for the sake of figuring out the monkey suit of a higher up. A slight groan could be heard from the outside, only faintly, muffled by cloth being over Kirin's face at the moment and, again, the door. "And if it's not too important, I've got a new recruit who I need to see he does his punishment and doesn't go messing with our rifles again. You know how the new recruits are." He commented, begining to again fuss with the uniform.

-Soren-

The Fleet Admiral leaned against the wall by the door, and sighed. "Well, I can talk through a door...Listen, I'm tired. I'm planning on executing military action against the Principality of Abraxas by the week end. I've already sent my sister out to get the ball rolling. I need your help, Kirin - you're the only son of a bitch I can trust to not give a damn. I can try and keep Victoria off us, but the Viridian Peristylium is another story. They are big on neutrality and one of my major adversaries in military action..." He paused. "If Zadkiel falls, I don't think anything is going to be going well with us all."

The snap of a few buttons could be heard as Soren talked. As he finished, the sound of loud pops came from the room. "I would think so. They have a pretty nice location to go off from if the war let's them capture some of the major cities, and from there they're lined up pretty nicely for bombing runs, deploying troops, or other attacks, and only the men up there know how many people would die if they released one of their Edilos on the more southern portions of our contenet."The rustle of cloth shifted again, this time in a much louder, faster way than before, and now the sound of buttons was replaced with zippers. A moment later, Kirin walked out of the changing room, wearing the high-speed pressure suit for Silfarian. "I assume this means you want me to go over there and knock some heads around. I'll need my squadron, all of us armed to the teeth. And I assume you want me to take the high-speed unit to the location and bust a move?"

Milas stepped out of the baths, grabbing a nearby towel and wrapping it around herself. She thought about the time, and figured it was probably time to be going. Actually, now that she thought about it, she was probably really really late. Like really late. Griffith had a meeting this morning, and her and Ager were supposed to constantly be by his side. She sped off towards the conference room.

Ager walked just in front of Griffith, heading towards the conference room together.

"This is pointless. Why does he have us attend such meaningless bothers? We should be out fighting!"

'As much as I'd love to, you know we can't. First off, Viridian isn't going to be involved with any fighting any time soon, second off, it's kind of my job to be with him everywhere.' Ager replied mentally. Bellona was always like this, and while she was quite helpful when fighting, in most other circumstances she was a pest more than anything else.

"You should get a different job."

'I'd have to leave Milas behind. You and I both know how attached she is to him.'

"I don't know what is with you and her. You don't have to be together all the time. Friends leave each other all the time."

'And that's the thing. We're more than friends. We're family. And a family never splits apart.'

Griffith meanwhile, was engaging in a much more useful conversation with his Eidolon. 'Gaea, according to the informant, where is my dear assassin today.'

"Supposed to be talking with the Abraxians. But you know her. Any decision she makes could be changed at a moment's whim."

'Yes, but still. I suppose it is some comfort to know where she is, to help me keep everything on track.'

"And on track they are. You shouldn't worry so much. After all, you have me and your... tools. Both of us together should cement your position as ruler for a while longer."

'Gaea, you know I cannot help but be concerned sometimes. The offhanded detail a Diabelian council member says could change my entire game. And my game must be constantly in my control.'

"It is after all, your game. Yes, I know my dear. But... sometimes, you should leave things to me. I have billions of years of experience of playing the game."

'But if I were to leave it you, it would no longer be my game, would it?' Griffith thought sharply.

"Sir! Apologies for being late." A feminine voice that existed in reality met the Praetor's ears. He glanced to the source, then nodded with a smile.

"So glad you could join us Centurion Armas." Griffith said as Milas fell into position besides Ager. The Black Swordsman looked down to his constant companion and nodded.

"Yeah. Glad you could come." He said, a mocking smile dancing on his lips.

"What do you want you big baffoon?" She asked harshly. Ager said nothing in reply, eyes moving downward. In her haste, Milas had forgotten several rather essential articles of clothing. In fact, all of them, instead wearing the towel she had put on after leaving the bath. "Gods dammit!" Milas yelled, vanishing back towards the baths.

'The hell Thor? You couldn't be bothered to remind me of a little something like not wearing clothes?'

"Hmmm? I just woke up, what's going on? What's this about no clothes?"

'DON'T PLAY WITH ME, YOU ONLY SLEEP WHEN I SLEEP.'

"Uhh, I definitely did not want to see how Ager would react. That was not my idea nor my intention."

Milas shook her head. Bellona and Thor were always playing with them, like they were dolls. Got on her nerves sometimes.

----

A sound of a scuffle was heard outside the Abraxian command tent. Then the sound of metal and flesh meeting in harmony. The soldier inside the tent readied his blade, but an arrow hit him in the skull. He was dead. Neena walked into the tent, smiling towards Argos. "Hello my dear civil war starter. How is your day going?" She asked, clearly mocking him. She pretended to look outside. "Oh! A Zadkiel city is burning! That must mean your day is going wonderfully." She said, continuing to make fun of him in a bright and cheery tone. Then her expression turned serious. "Unfortunately, I am not here today to end your life. As much as I'd love to, the rest of EREBUS finds it to not be in our favor. Instead, I guess I'm here to talk. Why they didn't choose a more eloquent agent then me for this, I don't know."

Magnus was about to resume his reading when there was a knock on the door to the expansive balcony. As Fenris did not react much to the knocker, Magnus took it too mean a regular. Still, caution had seen the twins through many dangers. Getting up, Magnus nodded to Magda, who moved silently to one side of the door. The young councilman put aside his weapon and went to the door.

"Identify yourself." Magnus commanded.

"Stirnholt, sir." Came the reply, from a stern male voice.

Recognizing both voice and name as one of his Honor Guard, Magnus opened the door and received a notice from his soldier.

"Thank you, Stirnholt." He thanked.

The soldier simply saluted and marched away. Magnus turned away from the door and started reading the notice as Magda nudged the door closed.

"Council meeting?" She asked.

"Yes." Magnus said with a sigh. "Our new candidate may have to wait, depending on what is required."

"I will check on Alicia." Magda stated. "Once you are free, I hope to have already formed an opinion on her."

"Very well, have fun." Magnus said with a smile.

He whistled for Fenris as he opened the door again to leave. The Eidolon Wolf jumped to his feet and followed his rider out of the room.

"Come, Talathea." Magda coed to her dragon. "Let's see where Alicia and her Deep One are."

Talathea bent down to allow Magda easier access to her harness. The Council Hand trotted and jumped on her Eidolon, who flapped her mighty wings and the duo were airborn.

While she trained, Antigone noticed another soldier who had entered the training room. Since she didn't seem to recognize him, she assumed he was a lower rank than she was. "Ah, a sparring partner. That's just what you needed, Antigone!" Athena told her Eidos, hoping to nudge her over to this soldier to practice more efficiently.

Alright, I'll go spar with him... Athena responded, trying not to say that sentence out loud. She would have preferred to keep to herself and bash the dummies around a bit more, but knew that Athena would probably take control and do something dumb if they'd continued battling inanimate foes. She approached the boy, and smiled. "Hello. Would you mind helping me train? Since we're both here, we might as well train together. We'd get much more combat experience battling human opponents." She greeted the Eidos. "I am Antigone Pallas, Gold Centurion. What's your name?"

Max was finishing slashing a dummy to pieces with his summoned sword, before hearing someone approaching and greeting him, to much his surprise it was one of the well known Gold centurions, Antigone Pallas, Eidos of Athena, he was surprised nonetheless by her sudden approach, "Hey" he replied with a smile, as she introduced herself, and asked who he was, to which Skeith laughed inside Max's mind "Damn...guess being bronze is that bad huh? no one knows you" skeith commented, but Max didn't change expression, simply ignored.

"Name is Maximilian Carther, Eidos of Skeith...and a Bronze centurion" he said, his voice cracking a bit as he told her about his ranking, Skeith soon manifested himself beside him as he finished his sentence, allowing Antigone to see him, Skeith simply looked at Antigone "I wonder if Athena can hear me" Skeith spoke, only for Max to hear, "Well, here he is" Max commented with a chuckle and a smile as he looked back at Antigone, "I accept some sparring, fighting dummies can only do so much for you" he accepted with a honest smile.

The Fleet Admiral nodded. "Take what you need, Kirin. But you're going dark. This is a black op, and I will disavow any knowledge of your actions. Choose only those you can trust, and only ships that will back you up. I can arrange a training exercise oversea, to mask your leave." he chewed his lip briefly. "Kirin, make sure my sister makes it out okay. I don't think I can survive losing her." He pushed off from the wall.

"Godspeed."

-City of Chantry-

Chantry was falling.

The city was enflammed, the Abraxian forces  pushing Zadkiel's back. Eidolons fell, leaving the Eidos defenseless. The overwhelming Demons were cutting down the singularly more powerful Angels, and all the field commander could do was order a retreat...that was, until the sky rained fire, and sand turned to glass. From above swooped Federation K-77 Riptide Heavy Assault Fighters. They hovered for a moment, guns kicking up concrete in roostertails. The building right next to the front line then...just fell. it fell sideways, revealing behind it the IDF's prized, experimental frigate - the Normandy.

On top stood Cinder and Altria, the latter bringing forth her holy blade. Beside her Cinder manifested her own sword, and together they leapt down, Altria assisting with a safe landing. Now they stood between the staggered Zadkiel forces, and the Abraxian troops.

Cinder glanced over her shoulder. "Continue a full retreat. We'll cover you."

She turned to fully face the oncoming Demons. "Well, Altria. Shall we?"

-Argos-

The man didn't even blink. He looked wholly disinterested at the fact Neena even existed. "Yes, yes...of course they send me the biggest problem to ever cross the minds of humanity. Speak girl, I have a war to win." he waved his hand dismissively to Nyxeris. "Fin -"

"My Lord, Federation forces have intervened!" A messenger stood behind Neena, more focused on bringing the report then someone he didn't know. Argos rolled his eyes. "Go, Nyxeris."

The goddess of Darkness melded away, leaving Argos mostly alone with Neena. He drew a pipe and stuffed it with some foul looking substance, then lit it. "So. speak, eloquent one."

Kirin smirked. "Black-ops, means this will be fun." Kirin made sure to note. "Kan! Grizwald! Reynolds! Fall in-line!" The soldiers from the firing range whom he hadn't punished. "As you all know, you've been in my unit for longer than anyone else. I trust you boys. So listen close, we just got a special order- secret ops. No one will ever know besides us here and now and the men who assigned this mission to us, so listen up." He talked through the information with his team."Grizwald and Reynolds, you will be bringing up the rear in the Dark Matter backpack. Though I plan to try and end this quickly enough, I don't want the heat of the core in the standard backpack to fry you both, plus it's more agile than the other backpack, and if we're facing Abraxas, we need to out-move their Demons. If it comes down to it, docking it with my Eidolon may be necessary for our escape. Kan, you're taking your Eidolon out with mine and you will bring up the middle of the formation, stay in my slipstream and hold on tight." The three nodded, and suited up. They walked out sidd, and Kirin snapped his fingers. Barbados materialized in the area, next to him, armed in Silfarian and with the Dark Matter backpack. Kan whistled for his to come, which only took a moment to occour as well. Kan threw Kirin's rifle right over to him. "Don't miss." The old man joked, and Kirin laughed. "Just try to keep up, old man." He said in response. They each boarded their Eidolon or ship, and took off. As expected, Kirin was far ahead in the formation, and the Dark Matter backpack was struggling to keep up, but they flew as fast as they could. The smoke could be seen from a mile away, the fire's yellow glow was almost overwhelming. "All of you just hold on until we get there, OK?" Kirin thought, activating his boosters to as high as he could handle safely, in accordance with the plan, and pulled as far ahead as he could.

Alicia and her eidolon were still patrolling after all, she had come back but had received orders yet again to keep patrolling for at least two more hours, to which she and cthusus were flying around the skies of orthys, "So I hear the chantry is falling to abraxus...well can't say I didn't see that coming" she commented to which Cthusus growled a bit, "Indeed, they have been at war for quite some time now, thats why theres so many preparations in case they decided to attack Diabellia, or the other nations" Cthusus commented, sounding serious. "You think Zadkiel stands a chance?" she ask, "Unlikely, they have an alliance with inazuma, no doubt they will receive help" Cthusus pointed out, "I see..." Alicia commented as her eyes widened as they were approaching a large cloud, part of a lightning storm, "Oh boy, wanna do the usual?" she asked.

"At your leisure" Cthusus commented as Alicia tigthened the grip on him as they quickly flew inside the lightning storm, Cthusus quickly created an electric shield around him and her, deflecting any lightning that may come from the storm onto them, Alicia quickly summoned a metal spear, as she held it upward, using it as a lightning rod, inside Cthusus barrier, soon enough one powerful lightning strike hit them, to which the barrier soon not only blocked, but absorbed, as Cthusus started flowing with electricity from it, by using the spear to attract lightning, and using Cthusus barrier to absorb it, she could supercharge cthusus, as soon enough they divebombed out of the storm, stopping as they left as Chtusus began to charge with the obtained power."Fire!" Alicia shouted, as Cthusus quickly shot a powerful bolt of lightning at the storm, powerful enough to break part of the storm apart, cutting down its size from the sheer force of the shot.

They simply flew casually afterwards "Well, that went well" she commented, "As could be expected" Cthusus commented.

{Magda}

Soaring above Orthrys, Madga and Talathea made for the outskirts and beyond on their search for their new recruit. The Council Hand had learned from a guard captain that Alicia and Cthusus were on patrol. Magda was actually happy about that, as she preferred to observe people in there element rather then some put on setting. Alicia's record was impressive, so Magda didn't expect any poor performance. It was how Alicia did her duty that interested the twins. The twins believed in upholding the spirit of the Empire, with it's laws being obeyed when they conformed to what was best for the nation. There were several skilled soldiers Magda and Magnus passed over because of there unbending sense of law.

"What can you tell me of Deep One's?" Magda suddenly asked.

Talathea glanced back briefly, then looked out at the sky ahead of her.

"Weird ones, for sure." The Dragon Eidolon answered. "Most stories of them are usually colored with mystery and madness. Personally, I'm sure they're over hyped. Though, even when taking away the horror stories about 'em, they're still pretty potent."

Magda nodded.

"Such an Eidolon with a skilled rider could be very useful." She noted.

"Probably, if they're the type to be team players."

The Dragon and rider lapsed into silence and continued to soar wordlessly for several minutes before they caught sight of dark clouds dispersing after a brilliant show of light.

"Our quarry?" Magda answered.

Talathea sniffed.

"Swamp water and the smell of sizzle." She quipped. "I'd say so."

The Older Seron twin patted her Eidolon on the side of the neck, getting the dragon to bank slightly to head towards Alicia and Cthusus.

Markus was wearing his suit while he walked around the place, his steps followed by thuds from the suit's armor, he was awaiting new orders, normally he'd just stay at his lab, tinkering with his suit, but when he was expecting an assignment or some such, he's just wear the suit and walk around, after all, he felt naked withgout it, his suit though detected some anormality, as a hologram screen was projected on his right arm, "Seems like Kirin has left, somewhere...hm..." he commented as he pressed a few buttons, and managing to establish contact with Kirin, "Going somewhere Kirin? I see you are bringing reasonable firepower for whatever it is that you are going to do" Markus spoke with Kirin through it.

"Mind If I join?" he asked.

Alicia and Cthusus were about to leave, that is until Cthusus detected Talathea and Magda "Compapny" it commented as Alicia turned to see them as well, they flew to them and stopped to greet the fellow diabelian tamers, "May I help you?" she asked, then noticing something, "Hey, aren't you the sister of Magnus? the council member? Magda is it?" She asked recognizing her, she was kind of famous indeed, a lot of people knew both of the twins names and origins.

"And with her, is Talathea, the dragon" Cthusus said.

"Oh, hey Markus... Sorry, you're not in my squad, I'm not allowed to say more on the subject besides it's out of your clearance, sadly... However, if you just happened to be in the area and just happened to be wearing your suit, I can't say anything against that, nor can I order you around anyway. Anyhow, I have to go on radio silence for- well, I can't exactly say why. But you are your own person."

Kirin turned off the chat. He hoped that Markus got what he meant by "If you happened to be in the area" line, but he wasn't sure. He hadn't had enough time with the doctor to know if he caught hints quickly, even if you're smart, that doesn't mean your fast...

{Magda}

"At this altitude, certainly." Talathea quipped, as she slowed to a hover.

"Well met." Magda greeted Alicia. "I am Magda. It is a pleasure to meet you, Alicia Kross. My brother and I have been meaning to to speak with you, but if you have a patrol to finish, that can wait."

The Dragon eyed Cthusus a moment before giving him a friendly grin.

"Whats even there to patrol?" Alicia asked chuckling a bit as, "I had just finished it, we were heading back, so, take me to your Brother, I don't have anything else to do now." Alicia spoke to Magda with a polite tone, ready to go.

Meanwhile Cthusus Stared back at Talathea as the same Eidolon eyes him up as well, before reverting back to his stoic, serious face he always makes, which Alicia constantly commented on his serious attitude, but couldnt blame him.

Markus had a small smile as he caught to Kirin's hint instantly, 'in that case i'l just give Soren a heads up' he thought as the Delta system had already detected Soren's radio comms signal, Markus was walking to the hangers, and all he needed was to ask Soren for clearance for a ship, Contacting Soren, whether he was on a private channel or not, "Greetings soren" Markus said with a polite tone, "So I see that someone has left on a mission, and that person is a good friend of mine, so...with your permission, may I use one of the Corvette class ships to acompany him?" Markus asked through the comms, directly to Soren's communicator on a private channel, undetectable by other's comms (Im assuming he keeps one around anyway, since its all technological and all).

It was a slow month for Markus, even though Zadkiel was under attack, Markus was still not called into action, much to his dismay and disappointment, he wanted at least something to do, and what Kirin was up to seemed like the perfect opportunity.

"Alright!" Antigone smiled, happy to now have a sparring partner that could actually fight back. She was also happy that Athena would probably quit bothering her about finding someone else to train with now. "I'll let you make the first move." She said, hoping that she would be able to learn from Max's fighting style this way.

"Trying to assess how he battles before making a move? Not a bad strategy." Athena spoke within Antigone's mind. "Just remember to be careful. Just because he's a Bronze Centurion doesn't mean you can lower your guard against him."

I know. Antigone responded, careful not to speak out loud. You know I'm not that careless, Athena.
